    Mango center $3.50 each

We stumbled upon this place on our way to Annettes Chocolate Shop. This place was closer so we stopped in. I'm not a chocolate coonosier. I rarely eat chocolate, but I felt like doing something differed and enjoy a total splurge. Chocolates are $3.50 each. A total splurge. The chocolates are in a nice glass display case. They have lots of flavors. All have a dark chocolate shell. I'm not a dark chocolate fan, but I thought I'd give it a go. I love mango so I went with the mango chocolate. It was delicious. My husband had the passion fruit chocolate. It was delicious. It was dark chocolate on the outside, with a crunchy top, there wasn't any bitter chocolate on top like they do with truffles. The center was a mango purée, like a mango jam. Surprisingly it was delicious, so much better then expected. I really wanted a second one, but stopped while I was ahead. If it wasn't so expensive I would have gotten more. It appears that they also have wine tasting in the back.

This is a cute and fancy little chocolate place that reminded me of some of the chocolatiers that I saw in Belgium. They have wines and a variety of chocolates. I wanted to order, but there were so many options and I was a bit overwhelmed. I wish they had some tasting because everything seemed wonderful. The chocolates are absolutely beautiful. But what caught my eye was the fountain or chocolate wall. I remember seeing something like that in Belgium at the Chocolate museum and I wanted to go over and taste, but I understand why that isn't possible. I will definitely return, but I'll do some research first so that I can know what I want to order. I look forward to that return visit.

Chocolate art. I had no idea that these chocolates existed. I ordered them to go with my wine I was having at Chateau Buena Vista. They're beautifully painted and pretty to look at. The moment I bit into my first chocolate, I was just floored at how smooth and creamy it was. Each chocolate was just a taste of heaven and whatever flavor it was supposed to be, it was exactly that and better on my tongue. My favorites were all of them but if I had to choose the memorable ones, it would be in no particular order: hazelnut, lemon chiffon, strawberry, habanero pecan, and much more because honestly, any of the choices you pick would be just amazing. For nine pieces of chocolate, it was in the $30 range. It was worth the money. Chocolate heaven.

This weekend, my cousin brought my aunt, who loves chocolate, into the shop. They stood by the display and attempted to ask questions about the chocolates. The employee repeatedly responded from behind the register that she "couldn't hear them" and refused to walk over to assist. Feeling unwelcome, they decided to leave. When they told me what had happened, I went over to the counter to understand what was going on. There were no customers waiting, and I calmly explained that my family simply wanted help purchasing chocolate. I asked if she would be willing to apologize and rectify the situation so my aunt and cousin could continue shopping. Instead, she repeatedly said she didn't want "anything hostile" and wasn't looking for "problems," even though the conversation remained calm and respectful. When I asked to speak with the manager or owner, she picked up the phone and offered for me to speak with someone. When I asked if it was the manager or owner, she said she was calling security. I was stunned. At no point was anyone aggressive or disrespectful. We simply wanted service. She then pointed to the Pride pins on her apron and shared that she had been bullied by others because of them. I made it clear that no one in my family was bullying her and that we only wanted assistance buying chocolate. I've spent many weekends in Napa and love Oxbow Public Market. This interaction was completely out of character with the hospitality I've come to expect there. Calling security on customers who are politely asking for service and requesting to speak with a manager was unwarranted and deeply disappointing. I sincerely hope ownership addresses this, because no customer should leave feeling unwelcome when they simply came in to buy chocolate.

It looked absolutely delicious so we wandered down to the chocolate shop, not realizing that it's a full chocolate shop with wonderful dipped selections and began our journey there. Many of the chocolates that are served there can be easily paired with your wine tasting because certain chocolates and certain wines go wonderfully together. Dania was so nice and information friendly. She let me have samples which I was totally happy with, and I was definitely able to purchase more items because of this. You look through the windows of the cases you just want to eat eat eat. I also thought it was interesting that they had wine tasting room inside there but you know if you think about it wine and chocolates there's a place for that in your world. The shop definitely lives up to its name--vintage, small, and cozy. They have a variety of sweets, especially chocolates, on display. They also have other specialty items and pairings. Service is quick and nice. My family did all the ordering since I was with my pup. I got a Mango Tangerine Sorbet, which was refreshing and tangy. They use Double Rainbow Ice Cream. My family got their desserts and enjoyed them. I recommend coming for their chocolates, and I'd be interested in their pairing. Vintage Sweet Shoppe off Main Street is a cute and popular spot for tourists and locals alike. There's free parking in the lot shared with the row of shops.

They did champagne and caviar, but I don't drink, so it was really nice to have the caviar tasting option. They have a chocolate company inside as well, so you can do chocolate tastings or just buy some truffles à la carte. We did the old world caviar tasting which was $125, and you get a .5 oz of 3 types of caviar (I think), and it comes with blinis, crème fraiche, and some Torres chips. Eating the caviar alone will always be my fave, but the sides are a nice touch! Our host (whose name I forget, sorry) was amazing! She knew so much about the caviar, explained everything, and she explained info about the different champagnes to my friends too. The tasting started with bumps of each caviar and tastings of the champagnes with the caviar types. Then we got to eat and drink as we wanted. I think it's totally worth the cost and can't wait to come back for another tasting!

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!
