However, when I tell them to please just file my nails and not cut them, then I look away or at my phone and they started cutting my nails! My once thick acrylics have now been thinned down to a realistic look, shaped perfectly and I'm leaving very pleased with the results. When prepping my nails for the fills, she clipped any area that was lifted (not just file). Came here before work with my bf for own first manicures together as were both employed now. I have very sad nails from years of depression and anxiety and am very insecure of them. The lady who gave me my manicure was soo understanding though and she cleaned up my poor nails without any judgement. Nail horror story!! I walked in, with a desperate need for my nails to be done. I had dip on my nails and the lady doing my nails didn't know how to get it off, she asked her fellow coworkers. Then she proceeds to dig her nail in between my nail and the dip, ripping them off. I went with a gel manicure and it was ok. The ladies were super friendly and nice. I drive 30mins one way to come to THE BEST nail salon in Orange County. My FAV pedicurists are Linda and Trina, won't come if they aren't available but my mom has two others that she has used and loved. I don't think you can really go wrong. I get a 30min neck/upper back/arm massage for only $20 while I get a spa pedicure. I'm literally in heaven. I recommend Tracey for the shoulder massage! Again, they are all amazing but these are just who I usually get and love them. They do like a 15min leg massage w your pedicure that is heavennnn. THANK YOU TONY AND ALL THE LADIES, amazing service. Worst experience ever. It took an hour and a half for a fill with gel and when she was done all of the nails were screwed up and wrinkled. Now two days later the gel is peeling off of my nails. I think she made them too thin, I feel as an expert Amy should know what's too thin and what would snap. When I lived in HB, I went here for 10 years! Staff is nice and polite, prices are very reasonable and they do a great job! When I moved to CM at 25, I stopped going there. And I regret it. I'm 28 and back here again and it's totally worth the drive. Note, the staff does speak to each other in Vietnamese. This doesn't bother me - it may bother you. Also, it's not super fancy - there aren't TVs and wine - again, this doesn't bother me but it may bother you. This is the best place I have found to get my nails done. It's a little out of the way for me since I live in Costa Mesa, but I've tried going to other places and always end up going back. Amy for acrylics and Tina for pedicures!!! They do great work, really take their time! And the prices are cheaper. This place is awful! First off, their gel polish doesn't even come out to be the same color as you picked out... I picked out a white/light pink color & it came out HOT PINK. This didn't just happen once, it happened multiple times so I stopped going here. Then my mom got me a $30 gift certificate to the salon, so I thought I'm gonna give it one more shot. My friend & I waited 40 minutes for a gel mani/pedi while there were only 3 other people getting their nails done! The nail ladies were just all hanging out in the back. We asked the man in the front how much longer it would take & he said "10 more minutes". I told him "it's been 40 minutes, we are going to go somewhere else" & he completely didn't care at all & just says "sorry". I love this place. Have been coming here for a few years now. They just recently remodeled and it looks fantastic. Comfy spa chairs and they have tvs on the wall. Most of the staff have been working here for a few years. They are all super nice. Always happy and happy to see me which makes me feel good that I have a regular spot. They do a nice job. Sometimes are better than others but I feel like that's standard for any nail place. If you're nice to them they are nice to you. Always easy to park. They get busy sometimes but it makes me glad they are doing well. They do their best to accomodade everyone. My only complaint was that their nail polishes weren't easily displayed but since the remodel they changed that! A big variety of colors to pick from. I enjoy coming here. I have come to this salon for years but the service here has deteriorated. Trina, the manager for the day, is not customer oriented and allows Tracy to argue with customers and get in their faces. I was poked 2 times in the foot and I politely told Tracy this was not working out. Tracy kept arguing with me in a very loud disrespectful tone. I told her to stop but she continued to argue. I asked the manager to step in and take care of the situation but she did not. This is not a quality experience! Besides all this, Tracy tried to intimidate me by taking my picture. The manager allowed this behavior of an employee. Then Tracy started talking Vietnamese to the other employees so I couldn't understand what she was saying. Unbelievable! A relaxing day turned ugly! Would not recommend this salon anymore. Juky was very nice to me and tried very hard to remedy the situation. i went here to take off my god-awfully thick and ugly acrylics that another nearby salon did. even though it took a whole hour to remove (the nails were half a cm thick!) , she was super gentle and nice! it only costed $7 for an acrylic removal, so i gave them $10 bc it took a while. :) read more
