Stay away from this nail salon! The owner Cathy doesn't use quality products, clean or sterile technique. My sculptured nails with gel on top were thick, silver looking with a horrible shape. She doesn't listen, and speaks Vietnamese constantly. I'm sure she's talking about her clients! She wears a thick filthy mask instead of changing her masks routinely, and you can't understand a word she says. The salon is absolutely filthy dirty! Her husband John did my pedicure, my granddaughter would have done a better job! Probably the worst pedicure I have ever had.. Unfortunately the woman who did my toes was the nicest lady ever. I know she cares.. but she doesn't seem to have the training at all. They also messed up my moms pedicure AND manicure. The woman that did the manicure, filed her ring finger about an inch shorter than all the other ones. Her finger was cut and you could clearly see the nail bed! It was ridiculous. The man who works there, did her pedicure. He was awful.. didn't cut the cuticles. Barely put effort into the polish on her toes. There was polish all over her skin around each toe. It was pathetic. This was supposed to be a nice time together. My hands hurt so badly especially my thumb that she repeatedly dug into even after me seeing ow more than a handful of times. I am very happy with my first visit to Finest Nails. I was able to walk-in and get a very relaxing and thorough pedicure. There was a good selection of colors, massage chair was doing what it does best, massage and the price was quite reasonable. The two ladies that there were engaging in conversation and quite pleasant to speak to. As others said, there are plenty salons to go to, but this one I would make a point to return to. read more

In July 2021 a NEW OWNER, June, took over this conveniently located shop. She is doing a complete remodel and is open 7 days a week. June is an excellent nail person. She does silk wrap, gels, acrylics, and just plain polish. I am a loyal patron of this sweet personable lady. She does an excellent job on toes that need special attention for ingrown/ingrowing nails. I love that she has her siblings and mother working with and for her. Also, my polish lasts a full 4-6 weeks on my toes, but I usually go in every 3-4 weeks for a pedicure. Face palm! Read the reviews and went anyway because of convenience. It seems like they do a fine regular manicure and pedicure (as there were other happy customers in there) but my friend and I were disappointed with our gel manicures. Hers was lumpy (because the lady insisted on using dried gel polish which should have been thrown out). Mine was ok, but in several places the polish was touching the skin which is a huge no-no with gel (it will lift and peel within a few hand washings). Bummer. today I went to get a pedicure and My daughter wanted her toes painted.. I went into a nail salon and they were friendly at first.. Asked me to choose a color and I told them I wanted gel on my toes. The guy asked me if My daughter wanted a pedicure and I told him she really just needed to rinse her feet cause we were at the park and they needed to just be painted. The owner then came over and told me her nails needed to be trimmed so I complied and asked her how much. $15. Fine. The guy proceeded to have a conversation in another language which they should know makes people feel uncomfortable. He was digging in my cuticles for a lengthy amount of time and must have reapplied the scrub 3 times. He was taking forever! then he nipped my cuticle and made me bleed... Whatever. Then when he asked me what color I had decided that their disgusting display of gels colors weren't any colors that I wanted(had the samples been shiny and not dirty I might have been able to find a color) I told him just a French manicure would be fine. He went over to grab the gel light and I said "oh.. Just regular polish will be ok" he was trying to convince me.. I said "no thank, polish will be ok" the he told the owner in their language and she said "you don't like my colors?! Gel will look better.." I said "it's ok. I didn't find a color I liked" then then proceeded to continue talking in their language and at this point I wanted to ask how much I owed and walk out. I let the guy finish my nails and asked the owner how much.. She told me they charge $1 for visa and that it would be $49. She asked me how much I wanted to ring it for. I said add $5. She asked me "that's it?!" I acted coy and just said "yes that would be fine" now the tone of their voices changed in their private conversation.. So I gave My daughter a $5 dollar bill and asked her to go give it to the owner and say thank you. And we walked out and they didn't say anything when we left! I work in customer service as well as being self employed. Both places I appreciate my customers. Without them I wouldn't have a job. if they want to tip it's a totally appreciated bonus. I am completely appalled at how I was treated and I will never go back to this nail salon. Thank you finest nails in the mission plaza for nothing. My nails suck and you made me feel like my boring pedicure that cost me 49 dollars wasn't worth your time. If you only knew how bad word of mouth can hurt your business. Had a horrible gel manicure here, and was charged $6 more than the listed price. Almost every finger was cut with cuticle trimmers, very painful. Worst ever by far, done by the guy in the shop. Skipped my usual place because I was having my car detailed across the parking lot and thought I could use my time wisely and get nails done at same place. Shop dirty, employees more interested in watching you-tube videos on iPads than doing nails. Watching cuticles closely, fingers crossed I don't get an infection. Polish actual looks good, but the guy was way over zealous with cuticle removal. Just finished my full set of white tips here. They are BAD. My right hand is ok but my left Is all jacked up and they don't match up at all. I'm so frustrated and don't know if I should go back and have them fix it or go to a different salon. I didn't pay $35 to be this unhappy. Stopped in for the first time instead of going to my usual spot. Wasn't busy and Kathy, the owner, took me right away. I asked for stiletto nails and she said they would be $5 additional to reg $25. She was so rough! She buffered my finger raw twice. The second time I said ouch and it started bleeding. She just pulled out superglue and touched my blood with it and put it back in the drawer. After all that, she charged me extra! $31 and all I got was a pink color. Worst service I've ever gotten. Will not be going back and told all my girlfriends that live near her shop what happened. I have been here a number of times, and always look forward to getting my manicure-as it comes with not only a hand & arm, but shoulder & neck massage as well! This LAST visit was interesting. Karen, the manager, asked if I wanted to try out their new OPI brand gel polish(it instantly dries, and lasts up to 2 weeks!). I took her offer. Due to the amount of regulars that came in, she began to promise them a 10-15 minute wait, which I KNEW was not accurate, as she had just began filing my nails. Well, I should have guessed that she would rush, but I really didn't think it would turn out so bad. The polish job ended up looking like an 8 year old painted my nails. She was moving so quickly, she made 3 of my cuticles bleed and the polish was all over my nail beds & tips of my fingers. When all was said and done, the polish turned out dull, rather than shiny and she still had the audacity to ask, "It looks SO pretty, eh?" my reply was, "Um, no." Needless to say I will not be returning. The first couple of times I could understand the rush, but at least I got my arm, shoulder, and neck massage. She did not so much as put lotion on my hands! I've gone in a handful of times while visiting friends close by. It was close by and no wait ....but the workmanship always pretty poor. The woman are sweet. The main woman complained that her husband (who was standing there watching her work) was not nice to to her (shop talk to a regular customer). Meanwhile a very thin, very elderly woman fumbled at trying to get gel nail polish off. I asked her how they would do it before we started to make sure we were on same page. The man stepped and verified, no we will not scratch up your nails and yes, we will take it off the right way. The woman had no idea what to do and kept checking it and messing with the process. I thought about saying you know what thanks but no, but my politeness kicked in even thou she had NO IDEA what she was doing. Ultimately, I think they wanted to rush thru things instead of taking the time to do it right. The man finally looked over and said you leave we don't want to take hours removing your polish. Shocked, I walked out, if the woman doing this procedure knew what she was doing the polish would have been off. I've never been kicked out of a nail salon before. Unreal. Awful experience! the place was dirty. They keep reusing the cloth towels, and they just put a paper towel over the dirty cloth towel. There are trimmings everywhere. I got the gel set done. Which I do frequently,( somewhere else) I just happen to be in a hurry and couldn't go to my usual place. The quality of the gel products is extremely poor. Not to mention their UV lights! They are old and dirty!! I knew right away there was a problem with their quality, when I realized, their lamps don't have timers, to ensure even cover, and they use alcohol at the end to get the tacky leftover off. When the gel is of good quality, there is no need for that! They use the cheapest products, lamps and have dirty stations.. And they charge $30! For it! Don't fall for it. I did notice there was an older crowd going there.. I know why! They can't see well, so they go right passed all of the lack of cleanliness, and poor attention to detail, that it is needed for a good job! They should close this place! Today, I went in for an Eyebrow wax. No appointment. They did a good job even though I waited a bit. The ladies seem friendly enough. The only thing that I didn't like....For all of their services...CASH ONLY... I wasn't told that when I entered the salon and luckily I had some cash on me. My total bill was only $12. Which was fine enough. Though I can honestly say that was "odd". A Salon not equipped to and/ or set up for debit or credit card services for its customers. When I went in, it was empty inside. I thought, great! But two days later I can see why! The skin around my nails is swollen, red and hurts... the fan for drying nails wasn't even turn on.. so it took me a while to dry them off... And I was shocked to see how they ''rinse'' the pedicure tub.... Just with hot water and some blue liquid in which manicurist rinsed his hands. No scrubbing, not even filling it in in one third.... I've been having my acrylic nails done there twice a month for 5 years, and feel that they do a fine job for a reasonable price. That being said, you have to be directive when need be, and find out which manicurist works the best for what you need done. I have used the owner, Kathy, twice and felt rushed. She skipped some of the steps that Sally takes. Sally takes more time than any other manicurist I have been to, and my nails stay perfect for the interim. For pedicures, I always use Stephanie because she does a good job and gives great feet and leg massages. It is also a good idea to take your own polish, as most salons extend their stock with a thinner that results in a much less durable polish. read more

Let's start with the good. I walked in with my husband without a appointment and they put us each in a chair immediately, this is the last good things. Another woman came in at the same time we did so we just smiled and said take her first. Before I could sit down the nail lady turned on the chair massage and I quickly asked her to turn it off and she just smiled and walked away... it turns out that I would have thirty minutes to struggle and figure out how to make it stop. Now the other part you need to understand is how small this nail salon is and the fact that the owner and another older gentleman spent the whole time I was there walking around having what sounded like a fight, but I could not be sure because it was in a language I didn't understand... never once offered to help me with the chair or even maybe some water while we waited. If you scroll through the other reviews they are all correct... The salon was not that clean, there procedures could use some updating, nail polish selection was old and slim pickings. When our mani finally started all the sudden a second nail person appeared! I am not sure what happened next but my husband and I got completely different mani's... he got what I would expect minus the nail polish, I got a nail clip and one coat of nail polish... no soak, no sugar scrub, no cream on the legs, no second coat of polish, no clear coat. Then I tried to hand her my credit card and all the sudden she found her english. She say's "cash better" so she was lucky that it was the one day that I had cash on me! She moved in closer as I reached into my wallet and pulled out a fifty which was the amount due and I handed her that plus a five and before I can hand her another five she says "not enough tip you need more" before I left the salon I took a good look around and there is no signage that says cash only... please read the other reviews as I should have, they are all true. They have deplorable health practices, no set procedures and then they spend the whole time talking to each other in their language. The sad part is because of their location they will always get a ton of walk-in's and this will keep them in business. Please take your hard earned money and move on down the road. DIRTY!!!! I stopped in while my vehicle was being washed at mission car wash to have my gel polish removed & to get a standard manicure. They used old USED foils to soak off my old gel polish. (Eew!) It looked as if the place hadn't been cleaned in months. I used to go to a "best" rated nail place on the other side of town....I like it here better. It's smaller and less frenetic. I can relax. They have new pedi chairs, too. First of all, I am surprised at the negative ratings. The staff were very friendly, there was very little wait and they did an excellent job. I returned for another car wash/manicure yesterday and after two good experiences, thought I would post a review. I overheard a gentlemen customer comment on the "new chairs and tables" so perhaps they have remodeled? Incidentally, I found the business to be very clean - not sure why the "dirty" review was posted. Our first and last experience. We called ahead and they said they could take us. My daughter showed a pic of the shape she wanted her acrylic nails and the Kathy proceeded to cut the nails down, knicking her fingers in a couple of spots. Then basically butchered her nails into a shape that was NOT what the picture looked like at all. They were all pretty much uneven. My mani was chipping from day one. Didn't do my cuticles like I asked, just made the motions without actually trimming them down. We had pedicures done too which were rushed through and a bit uncomfortable. We found a great place in rohnert park that are up on the latest trends, reasonable and engaged us in conversation!
