Worst salon ever!!!! RUN!!! I got the worst pedicure of my life! They only have two employees and they over book. It was so rushed because they had three other customers waiting, and it was the most unsanitary pedicure ever received. They do not clean their instruments and it was so rushed. I was in and out in like 15 minutes and they charged $39. At one point he pulled out a used looking toothbrush and started scrubbing my feet. If I could've ran out I would. Save your money EDIT: this salon has changed their response to me at least 8-10 times since I left this review. They just fill their responses with lies and inaccurate information. I think the owner needs psych evaluation. Again, please do not do business with these people like this who cannot accept criticism when they're literally spreading diseases by not taking hygiene or customer service seriously. read more

Worst nail experience I've ever had. Nancy is the only tech I've had a good experience with, but unfortunately she's almost always fully booked. Even when you call and make an appointment, you can still end up waiting an hour or be told to come back the next day. The guy answering the phone will tell you when to come in, but he isn't even at the salon, so there seems to be a major lack of communication. I genuinely thought I was being punked when I saw how my nails turned out. To make matters worse, the woman next to me also walked out with really poorly done nails, so clearly my experience wasn't just an anomaly. Between the scheduling issues, long waits, and poor-quality work, I unfortunately would not recommend this salon . Update to the owners comment- Your response actually reinforces my concerns about the customer service. Rather than acknowledging a customer's poor experience, you chose to imply that if your salon couldn't make me happy, no other salon could. What's ironic is that after I was denied service at your salon--even though I had made an appointment and called that morning to confirm my appointment was still okay--I went to Glossy Nails just 30 minutes before they closed. They accommodated me without an issue, treated me kindly, and I left with amazing nails. So clearly, another salon can serve me and meet my expectations. Expecting an appointment to be honored and leaving with professionally done nails isn't unreasonable. I agree that taking my business elsewhere is best. read more

I came in for a simple fill on 5 toes and new acrylics on 2 other and the other were just polish since my nails had grown out enough. I had called originally and was told it would be $65. I had requested a simple white French tip with a berry pink for the base. Not only did the service take over 2 hours but she cut two of my toes while drilling. On top of this multiple toes came out crooked despite me saying multiple times I noticed it and needed it fixed, they also messed up the French tip by having them bumpy crooked and all different sizes. At one point I had to just ask for the brush and show her how I wanted it. After that she took the brush back and said I would now be charged $90 for the service and she wanted a tip as well. Another woman getting her nails done was clearly unsatisfied as well and ended up getting her nails removed and walking out. read more

So first off, I was excited to try a new nail place and give them a chance but never again. -Absolutely ZERO nail prep. -Got frustrated anytime i asked her to correct what she did wrong because she was rushing it and kept messing up - laid on the acrylic to thick - got upset at me because i wanted to keep the length it was cut to - got upset because she didn't put on the tips straight at all and had her re put them on -she got nail glue all over my fingers - when i asked her to file them more so they're even she straight up pretended to file them. -Told me it would be an additional $10 for cat eye polish and said it would go from $55 to $65 with the length i had and all included, so i decided to just go black and she moved it up to $75. I could honestly go on, I just wanted to try and they failed me. I really don't ever write negative reviews but this absolutely felt like a waste of money and i was being overcharged for an incredibly rushed and poor service. read more

They were So friendly and funny and even helped me decide on a shape while also being honest and respectful that a certain shape wouldn't look too good, which I HIGHLY enjoyed having a professional opinion. While waiting for my wife's appointment, I overheard a technician make a snide comment about another customer's appearance--just because she politely declined an upsell. The remark wasn't just unprofessional, it was downright degrading. Upselling is one thing. But shaming someone for not spending more? That's a whole different level of disrespect. What's worse, there was zero remorse. No apology. No acknowledgment. Just smug indifference. This place clearly values profit over people, and it shows. I went on 5/17 right when they opened. I called because they weren't open yet, but understandably so just a few minutes late. I needed a fill and they were more than happy to help! The service was relaxing and it was great to know some of the nail techs! I had one tiny issue just the clean up under the nails. Simple! Well today on 5/19 one nail flew off I called after working they let me come in and fixed my nail for free and for a discounted price re did my nails due to the issues. Although the minor flaws the customer service was fantastic and more than willing to fix the minor mishaps. Thank you!!! read more

TLDR terrible scheduling; long wait times. Unfortunately, this salon suffers from bad management, as so many salons do. I have been twice, and once to their sister location Sea Spa, which is the same thing. Basically, there is no proper scheduling, you'll call and they say sure, come on in, but there is clearly no communication with the staff. I saw this play out at least 3 different times in my limited experience, every time someone came in and said they made an appointment, the staff had no idea what they were there for, didn't have enough people to handle them, and I saw one person leave after waiting for an hour (they called ahead). read more

Oh man where do I start. First red flag was the amount of signage about rules and policies regarding services and refunds etc. if a facility has that many signs posted all over the establishment that's not good. Looks like a ghetto check cashing business. Second as soon as you walk in it doesn't have the smell of nail polish but the foul odor of some bad kitty meow meow if you know what I mean. Thank god I sat next to the door as it was making me nauseous. Also, if a paying customer has an appointment it's not professional to be physically working on three other people at the same time which makes other have to wait longer. What's even more shocking is the equipment used was not even sanitized at all, besides that the employee went from one customer to the other to the other not sanitary at all. Lastly, when a customer asks for a simple pedicure and they kindly say no thank you to the gel offered it's best to not keep pushing selling the gel just to up charge the rate of services done. Being persistent with someone that already knows what they want isn't helpful. I will advise EVERYONE to do business with Zen Nails in Montgomery Village as all their equipment being used is sterilized and in wrappers. Zen Nails takes their time and doesn't push paying customers for additional products when they decline the first time. DONT RISK GETTING FOOT FUNGUS FROM ROYAL NAILS!!!! read more
