First trip to my neighborhood Thai joint and I am impressed. I have been battling a cold and decided some spicy thai soup may help me fight the symptoms. I went with Tom Kha, spicy level 6. It was very delicious and really did help me feel better. Now, the large was about $9 and because I'm used to the size of pho to-go orders, it really seemed pretty small for that price (MUCH larger pho containers=$7 approx). I also noticed a sign prior to paying stating a minimum of $10 for card orders or you are charged an additional $1. My total was $9.33 and I asked for the total to just be rounded up to $10 to meet the minimum, "just put the rest to tip" I told her. She told me I would need to write the tip in, and went on the to charge me $10.33 (that includes the additional dollar for not meeting the minimum). WTF? That makes no sense. Anyway, it is what it is. Next time I'll just bring cash. I think for future reference, I will go for a higher spicy level because after a couple bites, I had already acclimated to the spice and was wishing for more kick. read more

This place is AWESOME! I am not even a real fan of Thai food but the Spicy Noodles are the best! My Wife got the Papaya Salad and the Chicken Curry and I found myself stealing some of that! Very clean and very good service. I ordered the Po Taek soup. It was half the size of any other Thai soup we have ordered at other competitors Po Taek or Tom Yum. It looked nothing like the picture of the soup. It tasted very good an excellent broth they added Krab not listed as an ingredient. It cost $12.95 and was worth $6. When the server asked how it was, I voiced my dismay with the meal. No acknowledgement was made to us she just smiled. I looked around the restaurant and others dining there were served very small portions as well. The food is tasty if you don't mind going away hungry after spending $12.95, this is the place for you. High prices and small portions is a bad combination. If your up to spending $30 for lunch then this is the place for you. read more

Finest Thai is our favorite place to get Thai food in east county! The food is delicious and service is prompt, and we're always greeted with a smile. Oh, and I feel like other places I've been to never have mango sticky rice and say it's out of season, but I've never had a problem here. Chicken yellow curry is to dieeeeeee for!!!!!!! Crab fried rice is also absolutely delicious.

The hubby and I sampled the Spicy Noodles and the Chicken Fried Rice. Meh is all I can say. We expected much better, but received very dry fried rice and clumped together starchy spicy noodles. And the heat...OH MY GOD!! We got the level 3 which is supposed to be medium and it was more like extra hot!! Did not enjoy and do not recommend this place. Sorry not sorry!! read more

This is by far my favorite restaurant here in El Cajon. My son & I try and make it here once a week. The curry is outstanding! I really enjoy the family atmosphere. The owner is very friendly & all the waitresses want to make sure your meal is to your liking. Couldn't be more disappointed. We order from this place all the time and usually the food is great and so is the service. HOWEVER, this time was the complete opposite. Called in a pick up order and when we came to pick up our food they told us they gave our order to the wrong group. They offered to deliver our food instead which was a great jester, but they messed up once again! Our order of pinapple fried rice was switch for "finest thai" rice and it is DISGUSTING! Our pad Thai spice level was wrong AND the veggie dish looks like it's been sitting out all day (probably someone else's forgotten food from earlier). Needless to say I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Looks like I'm gonna have to go elsewhere for thai food it's a good thing in San Diego we have plenty of alternatives read more

So I always order the pad wun sen with chicken and a side of peanut sauce from this place. They are awesome every single time and delivery is fast. Great customer service and I'm so glad they're part of the community. Anyway, this time they accidentally forgot the peanut sauce which I paid an extra $1.50 for so I called. Totally disappointed! I. Ordered red curry with shrimp. Ugh! Awful. The curry had a weird flavor. You could not even taste the coconut milk. And there were only like four tiny OVERCOOKED shrimp. Great restaurant! Service is excellent, staff always friendly and give quick attention. Food is hot and fresh. We've tried ordering inside and take out, and not any difference in quality. They always check the take out orders to ensure you have everything before leaving. Portion sizes are HUGE. Best to order a couple dishes and share! Veggie Pad Thai is my favorite. I'm not personally a vegetarian, but this dish makes me feel like I could give up meat! Lots of fresh vegetables and a great Pad Thai flavor. My husband really likes their curry dishes; you can order the degree of spiciness to your liking. Egg rolls are also really good. Reasonable prices, great portions, and quality service. Was looking for a place to get thai on my drive home and stumbled on this little place. Food was surprisingly good and flavorful which can be hard to find at a thai place here in SD! I got my usual go-to for a new place I'm checking out- chicken pad thai, fresh spring rolls, and a thai tea. The pad thai had a lot of flavor packed in and the plum and peanut sauce I had with the spring rolls was yummy! Very friendly and very fast service. Servers were helpful and remember my modifications (I hate having to ask twice or send things back if they're wrong). Food was out in only a few minutes. A nice surprise find!
