Yet, they kept the car for a reasonable amount of time and had the car ready for me on the day they specified they would. Kudos to them. read more

My 2016 BMW 328i was hit on its front left side by an inattentive driver. After filing a claim through the other driver's insurance, I brought the car to BMW of Brooklyn because they said they could "facilitate" the collision repair. They, in turn transported my car to Finish Line for completion of the job. They have a standing contract for collisions. I dropped my car off at BMW of Brooklyn on 9/28/2020. The car was received by Finish Line on 9/29/2020. Next the inspection by the insurance representative occurred on 9/30/2020. After the inspection I was contacted by a Finish Line manager who told me the job would be done in about a week. I assumed that meant sometime on or about October 7th, 2020. At first I was impressed because the insurance estimate gave them until October 14th to complete the job. When I called on October 7th, I was told that the car was still "in the shop." I wasn't given any detail as to how far along the process they were. I called again the next day and was told the car was still being worked on and that it would not be ready until the next week. I waited out the weekend and then called on 10/12/2020, at which point I was told that the car was not going to be ready until Wednesday (10/14/2020). At this point I was already frustrated that they blew through the first verbal time estimate. It didn't help that I was driving an underpowered, undersized car rental that did not compare in any way to my BMW. My thinking at that time was that they delayed finishing my car because the insurance estimate gave them until the 14th. They had my car captive so what could I do and what did they care (again my thoughts). Wednesday October 14th comes and I'm expecting a call that my car is ready and that they'll deliver it to me that day. The call never came. Instead I had to call them in the early afternoon to ask why my car was MIA. Imagine my thoughts as they informed me that the car was waiting for a paint job and that it would not be ready until the following Thursday or Friday (10/15 or 10/16)! My patience and self control started to falter in my frustration so I pressed them on an actual day that the car would be 100% ready with no excuses. They agreed to Friday. Did I forget to mention that the rental was supposed to only be available until 10/14/2020. Finish Line agreed to cover the extra two days but again that was little consolation because the car (a Chevy Spark) was utterly useless for the things I normally do with my car. To compound matters further, I work in a hospital and I need to get there at any time of day or night. I found out last minute that I had to be there Thursday night, through the night, into Friday daytime. So last second I had to return the car rental Thursday night then use mass transit to get to work. Friday morning when I called it seemed like they weren't sure when the car could be delivered but they assured me they could do it before 3pm (i.e. the end of my shift). A woman at the front desk finally started texting me updates about the car's transport. After about 19 days without my car it arrived at my hospital looking great! Which brings me to an unfortunate summary. The work looks a solid 5 stars. The communication and timeliness was completely unacceptable save for transport updates. If at the beginning they told me they would take the full time until 10/14 to fix the car, I would've accepted it and mentally prepared myself to be without the car for the duration. Instead they gave me false hope and then were exceedingly late in returning my car. Use them if you must but brace yourself for an extended amount of time without your baby. read more

Short version - all my future work will goto Cesare from now on. Long version below. My race car was badly damaged at NJMP race track on 6/15. Cesare and his team repaired the car and it came out AMAZING better than before and a new color. His staff is second to none, I have used many different body shops before and no one comes even close to the attention to detail and quick turnaround time. To be honest I was worried based on my past experiences with other body shops they always seem to cut corners somewhere, but not Cesare, he was always there to talk, give advice, and provided daily updates. My car was ready for my race tech to handle the mechanicals by 7/20. My tech was so thoroughly impressed by the work even he said he would use them in the future for his own race car. Mind you the rear of the car was DESTROYED and required an ENTIRE rebuild. Frame needed to be straightened. The workmanship done by his crew was nothing short of spectacular. My leased 2018 BMW X3 was hit while parked in Brooklyn. SUV ran into parked car behind my BMW, and pushed that car into my car, which then pushed my car into a car in front of mine. Major damage, car looked bad, sounded bad, and I was freaked out. Took it to BMW of Brooklyn as I did not want to risk dealing with a 3rd party repair, as this is a lease, and I have to turn it in 7 months. BMW of Brooklyn explained that they exclusively use Finish Line for all of their autobody work. They worked with Caesar at Finish Line, had my car towed same day to them. Caesar and his staff reached out within a day, told me about the whole process, assured me that they would take care of my car, worked with my schedule to make sure I could take delivery. Stayed in communication with me. They even offered to deliver my car back to me. Only had one real delay that lasted a few days where they needed to ship the car back to the dealership for some sensor configuration, but they took care of everything. I chose to go to the shop on delivery day and look over the car, found a small issue that they fixed within 5 minutes on the spot. After taking the car home, I noticed a few more small items that bugged me, called Caesar the next morning, he apologized, offered to pick the car up, I decided to just drive it over. They quickly took my car in, spent like 20 minutes on it, and its perfect now. Very easy to work with, very understanding, and a real pleasure, I'm especially glad they detailed it inside and out, car looks brand new, they even got rid of a few scratches and dings I had on the body. They charge ton of $, didn't fixed what was supposed to be fixed. When I picked up the vehicle my navigation no longer worked, my Bluetooth didn't work, in addition, horrible stench of NOX gases are in the cabin basically making the vehicles useless. Today I decided to look into the trunk of the car where all audio dvd unit is located and I found plugs not connected fully and secured, loose screws that hold the computer. So your car was in an accident, go to Finish Line Collision if you want to get ripped off. This place sucks really it sucks, the guy says he'll work with your deductible. Not True but to get your business he'll say he will. The receptionist is a bit$h on the phone but nice in person? When paying your deductible the policy is CASH ONLY that sounds fishy does the government know that? Give them a insurance co. check for $4000.00 + $500.00 deduct, they said thanks your car will be right out. I said can I have a receipt they give me a hand written one for $4000.00 nothing for the $500. deductible. Now pissed I ask for one for the deductible. Reluctantly they give me one. But wait now I ask for an itemized receipt the ins. co. requires? Wow the nerve of me. Dishonest bunch of clowns with the personalty of drift wood. My car leaked antifreeze the day after, my wife showed them they said impossible it must be runoff and they topped it off. The next day the hose was off! the mechanics didn't tighten the hoses what a joke of a organization. They fixed it but didn't whisper so much as even a little apology. Was referred to Finish Line by a local car dealership. Cesare, the owner's nephew, was helpful, nice and professional. My car needed a new front bumper, body work to both front fenders, a large keyed scratch on the rear body panel and smaller scratches on the rear bumper and car hood. Cesare said that the work would be done in a few days, and that the smaller scratches would be wet sanded to improve their appearance. After picking up the car, upon initial inspection all appeared OK. A few days later I noticed that the plastic trim on the front left fender popped off. Also, upon closer inspection, noticed that the wet sanding was not done and the rear bumper wasn't touched up. Then, the left turn signal stopped working. Called and was asked to bring the car in to clear up the issues. The body shop took care of all the problems except the wet sanding was never done, therefore, the mediocre review since I feel that the body work isn't complete. read more

My car was rear-ended and I had went through a referral to get the work done through Finish Line. Let me start off by saying that the work was a sloppy. As my trunk was replaced, my right deck speaker was completely blown by whoever has replaced it, my tint was scratched on my window, and the buttons are lose on the inside of the trunk. I am disappointed to say the least. I now am going through BMW because I refuse to send my car back to this shop. I will never recommend.
