Needed two pair of running shoes for family members who are particular. Went to 3 other sporting goods prior with no success so everyone was getting frustrated. Went to Finish Line to see if there might be another style that was missed. It was busy but soon was helped out by Jeremiah. HE WAS AWESOME. Told him that we were looking for particular shoes to match running and comfort style. He recommended a specific brand/style and sighs that was heard when the shoes matched were music to my ears! Can't be more disappointed. I purchased a pair of shoes that I really like the look of. After wearing them twice with very light wear I realized the shoe was causing gradual pain in both of my big toes. I thought I would look at exchanging them for a half size smaller. When I called to ask if they had the inventory, they did. But when I told them I realized the issue after I wore them twice they 100% refused to even discuss with me the issue the shoe was causing and gave me zero options to return or exchange. The rep that helped we was apparently the manager and she was absolutely awful at her job. So disappointed when a company puts you in a position to never want to do business with them ever again. read more

I've shopped here three times now (I should say tried to shop). I should have learned after the first time. Customer service is AWFUL! On all three occasions we were the only customers in the store with at least two sales associates at the cash register just talking and laughing. No, greeting when we walked in, no "can I help you?" This time after ten minutes of us looking at the shoes, I walked up to the register and asked if we could try some shoes on and the associate acted put out. We wanted to try on a few different shoes. She said they didn't have his size in any of the shoes we were looking at even though she only went back to look once. I asked if we could maybe order them online and she just said "no, they can't be". We left and I decided to look on their website and sure enough, both shoes were available in his size. We went down to Dick's instead and not only had a good experience, we got what we needed. read more

Worst customer service ever. I bought some shoes for my nephew for Christmas. The shoes didn't fit him. I walked in to the store today to get them exchanged for a half size bigger. They couldn't do any thing with out the recipe. I showed them my credit card statement online and that's still not good enough. Went in today to buy new shoes. Was so excited to see a Finish Line come in. Always had great experiences with knowledgeable help in other states. No one offered to help. Another lady was there too looking for shoes. Eventually there were three sales clerk there and they discussed hamburgers and how the toppings with each other. At one point they all went in the back and no one was in the store. During that time there were 4 customers. I was finally asked if I needed help when I was holding a shoe. Before I could answer they walked away and started chatting with each other again. I left and went to Dicks sporting goods. As soon as I walked into their shoe department they asked "can I help you?" Will never return to Finish Line in Mission Viejo. The one star is for the selection of shoes. read more

When i walked in i was not greeted, the lady at the register was busy on her phone or something. she had an attitude the whole time and was very rude and disrespectful. WARNING!!! I bought shoes here two months ago and then later I found out that they subscribed me to Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated for Kids! Really shady business practices here. I had to call Sports Illustrated and ask them how I got subscribed and they told me I got signed up at Finish Line. This is the only Finish Line I've shopped at in the past year so it had to be here. I do like the selection but the customer service is not good. I have been to the store three times and not once someone bother to ask if they can help me with anything. I had to find someone to get the shoes for me and after he/she got the pair, they never bother to come back and check if I need another size. I am really in different about this place. I like the shoe selection here and the prices are great. They constantly have deals on great items which is a huge bonus. The staff is friendly but it takes forever to get helped. Being second in line with two cashiers operating took me about 40 minutes. The staff is constantly going back and forth from the register to helping customers throughout the store, even in the middle of the transaction. I think it is because they are multi tasked trained and they don't mean it out of rudeness it is just inconvenient though especially if you are short on time. They run out of stock in store on s lot of items, so sometimes it's best to order online. However, in my last online order I received s box with only one shoe in it. The store was able to refund me with no issues but it was still an interesting thing to occur. The computers are down a lot it has happened to me twice where their computers were having issues. I think they are in need of an upgrade. Overall, it's not a bad place for shoe shopping, I have just also had several inconvenient experiences here as well. read more

Please read the whole review. I wasted 20 minutes trying on a pair of shoes. I liked them so much I said wrap them up and we headed to the register. The price of the shoe that I wanted was $109.99. The problem was the shoes that the female employee brought out were not the shoes I was originally holding when I askednto try them on. The shoes had a twin. That twin happened to be $90.00 more. Well this was figured out at the register when I literally was about to swipe my card. I asked why these are ringing up $90.00 higher than the other? She went and checked and first said, it's marked wrong let me see if I can get the price adjusted. She came back and said, oh I brought you the wrong shoes, let me go get the other shoes for you. Problem? I liked and wanted the shoes I just tried on. She said there's nothing she can do so I walked out without purchasing anything. As I walked outside I thought, that's just not right and I'm going to tell the manager how I felt. I walked back in and approached 3 workers including the women in originally dealt with. I asked, which one of you is the manager? The same lady I've been dealing with says we all are. Lol really? Every employee in the store is a manager? So I spoke up to all of them in an attempt to let them what transpired was wrong and I was upset. As I spoke about my experience a women customer was standing close by and listened to what was said. She stated the same thing has happened to her in this store and it's wrong. So finally a young man allowed me to explain my experience. He told me the lady employee made a human mistake. I completely understand mistakes. The problem was not saying she made a mistake and trying to rectify the situation. He said, he was the store manager and she was unable to do anything like that. Well lets rewind to when I walked in the store and she stated they were all managers. If thats not the case which it obviously wasn't, don't say that. Needless to say the customer service needs improvement. The store manager that helped me made it right and I was able to purchase the shoes I wanted for the price of the lower priced twin.
