There were some familiar faces from the previous practice. The new vet was kind to our cat and treated her as if it was her own pet. This is exactly the characteristics we look for in a veterinarian. We talked over next steps for our cats medical issues and we got out quick and virtually painless. The only minor concern is that they are more expensive than my previous family vet. Since our pets are our babies, we don't mind much as long as they are well cared for and help to have long and happy lives.

He tries to dominate dogs by manhandling them, and he treats their owners like they are unintelligent and irresponsible. My family brought dogs to Dr. Roberts for 17 years, and after multiple traumatic vet appointments where he treated us and our dogs poorly, we realized it was time to leave. After one appointment, he slammed the door unprofessionally. When we talked to him later on the phone, he told us he was "quite frankly tired of seeing our dogs" and he'd be happy to see them go elsewhere. DEAL! I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Dr Bremen's is amazing! I have two rescue piggies I adopted…read morefrom a family who could no longer take care of them. These girls are the sweetest piggies, and I would do anything and everything for them to ensure they have the best care. Recently, one of my girls developed a large abscess under her chin. I called my usual vet clinic only to be informed they do not have a vet to treat "exotic" animals. They're an amazing clinic but I was shocked to hear that a vet office did not treat any species besides cats and dogs. I was panicking because I knew my primary vet was very understanding of my recent financial struggles and no other vet would trust me like they did. Without going into personal detail on this review, I reached out to a few small animal rescues for help. Only one got back to me. I was not asking for any free services, just some advice/guidance/resources for help. I had no idea how few vets work with small animals. The rescue gave me information and i remembered that with my childhood guinea pigs, we used to take them to Best Care for vet appts. I took a shot in the dark and called them. They got me in for an appt the next morning. I was very honest about my financial difficulties, but also that I was also willing to do whatever I needed to in her best interest. Not to be blunt, but I was fully expecting to hear that due to her age/breed that she was hopeless. I was honest with the doc and staff. I told them I truly wanted what was best. I don't want her to suffer so I don't have to. Dr. Bremen was very understanding and gave options that were best for my piggie. I was given facts and her true opinion that these treatments are worth it for my piggies best interest. Ironically, it turns out she was even the vet that answered the questions for the people at the rescue that I had contacted prior! How cool is that?! We are continuing treatment for my piggie, and she has continued to be honest but also willing to give my sweet girl the chance she deserves to fight! Again, I do not expect any free services or discounts, however they have been so mindful of making sure to handle all treatments graciously and reasonably. I cannot thank Best Care enough. As soon as I am back on my feet, I look forward to donating back to them for patients in similar situations as me. Coming to Millard Vet Clinics is one of the best things we ever did for our cats. They are…read moreconsummate professionals, caring, and affordable. We had tried out a few vets for our cats - a few different locations of Gentle Doctor - and we always felt they weren't caring enough, and we couldn't leave there without spending $200, minimum! But when we were recommended to try out Millard Vet Clinics, we were happy to try a place that friends and family had loved and had good experiences with. First off, I like the setup of this office a lot. Our cats get very testy when dogs are around, and Millard Vets have a separate waiting room and side for cats vs. dogs, so it's a lot less chance for them to see each other and cause a ruckus. Our first visit, we took both our cats in for their yearly shots and check-ups. Dr. Maria was so kind and understanding, especially with our older cat Conan, who is way more cantankerous than our other kitty. Gentle Doctor always wanted to put on giant gloves and hold Conan down tight to the table to examine and inoculate him, but Dr. Maria didn't want do anything like that and didn't want to traumatize him again with gloves/and restraints. Conan was still scared, though, from the previous place he went, and he was hissing and hiding under chairs and not letting anyone touch him. One of the vet techs is a literal cat whisperer, though, and could pick up Conan with no problem. It's just the way people approach him that escalates his anger/fear, and there was none of that here. Remy, our other cat, was completely fine from the jump, and let them do the check up and shots with no issue. A few days later, we noticed a bump on Remy's leg at the injection site. We went back to Millard Vet Clinics, and Dr. Sam took a look and gave us an anti inflammatory, to not start from the jump with putting him through antibiotics. She even FaceTimed me at home (my husband was at their office and I was home with our other cat), to explain everything and assure me Remy would be fine. Dr. Sam even called us the next day to ask us how Remy was doing, and we were happy to report that the swelling was already going down, and was completely gone soon after. That's just to show you that they are not so quick to throw prescriptions at things, and instead use the gentlest thing for the kitties first, before trying anything else - which I appreciate! We took Remy and Conan back recently for their annual shots and checkups, and Conan was WAY better behaved this visit. Just a little bit of hiding and one hiss, but ten times better than he had been his first time here (and every time at Gentle Doctor). Millard Veterinary Clinics, and specifically Dr. Sam and Dr. Maria are the best. I trust my cats health with them and I'm VERY protective of my cats. So I totally recommend you try them out for your fur babies and see if they are a great fit for you, as they were for us!
