The only place I will go to get my smog test. The price is really nice compared to other places & the workers are kind. My car failed smog & the technician worked with me for 4 months. Well I went and get my car smog done, my car was low and alignment was off and the guy was nice enough to find the tool to take of my bumper and and help me keep my car straight. I went yesterday to get my car smogged and the service was excellent. I had to bring my 3 daughters with me and they were very accommodating. Let us watch movies and eat food. I did not have a great experience at Firehouse Smog. Straight up you guys were scared to do the smog because it was a handicapped van, 1991 Ford E 150 Econoliine van. It had no steering wheel and was controlled with your right elbow in a padded cup. You move the stick forward it gave it gas. Back was brake and rotate left to go left and rotate right to go right. Its still a van with a 302cu. inch motor. I still don't see what the big deal was. I went right down the street to the Smog Guys and without any hassle or any work being done to the van it passed first time with flying colors! I will never go to any Firehouse Smog nor will anyone i know. You guys dropped the ball big time. Everyone DO NOT go to Firehouse Smog. It's obvious they do not know what they are doing and just want to run the cars thru there as fast as they can for the almighty buck. Terrible customer service. This place is awesome, went in to smog my truck and found out, that I can also pay my DMV registration and get my stickers there all at the same time. They're super nice, and very helpful with questions. The service is outstanding. They're smog test is $68.00 though, and they automatically charge $8 for for a certificate and another $2 to send this information to the DMV. It's super nice that they do it electronically, but I'd rather pay $30 for the test else where and then just mail the certificate into the DMV. They also offer registration renewal services, but it'll cost you the registration fee, the $70 late fee if you have one (the DMV can possibly waive late fees, smog test facilities can't), plus $20 for the service. The gentleman helping me gave me $10 off for being a return customer, but it's still too pricey for more than 3 stars. =\ Had I known it was going to be that much, I would have gone to a different place. read more

Went in on a Saturday, around 10am...no waiting. That was a definite plus. They were friendly and fast....maybe 20 min, if that. A little on the expensive side, but they did give me $15 off. The reason I went there to begin with was because I just got my car back, from being fixed, and my tags were overdue...they also have DMV services there. The website and their sign in the lobby say that DMV services are available on Saturday....they are not. So, if I would have know that DMV services were not available...I would have gone somewhere else and paid a cheaper price.
