I left my truck in the bay with the big mirrors folded in, asked if they wanted the mirrors out, was told they were fine. After smog test was completed, truck was moved out of bay for me to drive away, mirrors were now folded out, when I got home, the mirrors were broken. I was told they have cameras so I could come see what happened. Of course when I arrived ten minutes later, there were no videos of my truck available. Don't use this business! read more

I've been coming here for YEARS to get my smog but this year I'm not sure if they got new workers or owners but they are extremely RUDE! The attitude is freaking ridiculous and if my car wasn't already getting worked on I would have left that's how bad it was! read more

Worst experience ever. Don't go there. I went in for DMV services and the man behind the counter was the rudest person I think I've ever met. So rude. Wouldn't let me speak, spoke so fast nobody can understand him, and was completely bothered to have to help us at all. I've been there before and he's gotten worse over the years. read more

They were able to accommodate me last minute when I called and said I have a vintage RV. The only concern was the new dynan sensor to the exhaust may not be long enough but bring it on down we will check it . So I did ! I was able to fit into the garage to get the sensor in the exhaust and all was good... thank you again guys for making it virtually painless. Yes, the fee to utilize their services is somewhat steep but mind you it's the convenience and likely their processing fee incurred for partnering with the DMV you're really paying for. If you Yelp check- in you'll save $15 off their smog fee. Customer service was top tier as I was offered water or another beverage while waiting. My husband was very happy with his experience. Went on a day that was slow (it was a rainy day) and it only took 10 minutes. The process was easy and simple. He was offered a soda while he waited and the niners game was on in the waiting room. I received my DMV registration for the year and it needed a STAR center smog. I was going to head to my usual spot but my b/f mentioned how great Fire House was with his last smog and recommended I check them out ... so I did! Came right when they opened @ 7:30 AM on a weekday and had no problem getting in and out, in less than 20 minutes. Service was fast and friendly. There is complimentary coffee and other beverages (soda) in the waiting area. In addition to smog testing and services, they also offer DMV services such as vehicle registration. I didn't utilize this service, but it's nice to know it is offered here. PS ... if you visit their website, they have a $15 off discount for any smog + certificate. You don't even need to print the coupon, all you do is mention it and they take it off. Nice! Saving paper + ink = better for the environment and $$ savings. Definitely recommend! read more

Smog checks get more expensive as each year passes by. Luckily, firehouse had a Groupon available which shaved off a good chunk of what I would have paid without it. The process is supposed to be really quick. But when I went, the computers wouldn't connect to my car. Despite the delay, firehouse still has a great system. They have a seating area fully equipped with refreshments and magazines. The sign in process is simple. And you just wait in the office until your car is done.
