I've wanted to check out Fire + Ice for sometime, but never had a chance to. Some friends suggested we eat here before catching the Disneyland fireworks, so we made a reservation after work. They give you a 15 minute grace period for reservations, otherwise you will have to wait with everyone else if you are late. We got a table in the back, which was a bit secluded and quieter than the main area of the restaurant. The setup sort of reminded me of a Mongolian stir-fry place I went to years ago, where you fill a bowl with things you want cooked together and they cook it on a circular flat grill top. Here, you can make noodle, rice, or veggie dishes with various cuts of meat or you can have a sandwich or burger made. The guys on the grill are always moving food around and they're really attentive. Always interesting to watch. I'll admit my noodles got burned on the first go around, so I focused on a burger instead. The proteins are pretty good, but for the price I'm paying for an all you can eat place, the quality is ok. I sense the staff were a bit stretched thin, as our waitress was trying to juggle our small table and a larger party by us. It took a long time to get a special drink for my friends but she did push the bar to expedite it. They weren't super impressed with the drink and concluded that they'd stick to water in the future. This is a good spot for groups with different tastes. There's definitely something for everyone! We had a party of 12 that we booked through open table. The day of, we got a call confirming again and asking if we needed any high chairs or other accommodations. When we checked in, we had 10 of our 12 and we were told we'd be seated with the 10 and it's fine. Yet I stood waiting for an extra 10-15 minutes until we asked again and our last 2 people had arrived. So that was a little annoying, especially because we were considerate and didn't overcrowd their small lobby like other groups were. For a Friday night, it was absolutely packed and the line for the grill was insane. Surprisingly small grill for how large the restaurant is. I'd recommend a weekday over a weekend night. The line would get backed up at the sauce station as people hmmed and hahed about what they wanted. Then you'd stand waiting for a spot at the grill packed like sardines. Ernesto was a fantastic server and refilled drinks without being prompted. He also arranged for our birthday guest to get a cool thing at the grill and brought us plates and forks for the cake we brought. read more

This place is a joke they gave us our bill for the dinner, and they charged $30.00 for a service charge and they never told us anything about a service charge. That is a joke. Their food is horrible, they have hot dogs and hamburgers on the buffet, who serves hot dogs or hamburgers on a expensive buffet, like that the hot dogs were all shriveled up and the hamburgers were raw where the cook cooks it for you, and then they demand a a tip for the cook, doesn't he get paid for doing his job. And then the waitress demands a tip for not even serving you the food, you have to get off your ass and get the food yourself, so what the hell does the waitress deserve a tip for. This is an amazing place to go for a variety of different reasons. When you have a group that can not decide on where they want to go, or even what type of food they want. With so many options, there's something for everyone. The food can also be as healthy or as decadent as you want. Because it's set up much like Mongolian BBQ, the food that you eat is determined by what you put in your bowl. Make sure not to skip the salad bar, as there are a lot of filling options to round out your meal. I've only ever come during lunch time, and the place was sparkling clean every time. This is a family-owned business, and you can tell by how courteous the staff is, and how quickly you'll pick up on familiar faces. I was kinda hesitant about coming here given the 3.5 stars, but decided to give it a shot for lunch. For $12.99 all you can create, that's a good deal & walking distance from the hotel, even better. It's a cool concept where you fill you up your bowl with meats,veggies & starches, get a little cup for your sauce & bring it up to the grill for them to cook. We got there at 11:30 when they opened & just one cook was cooking at the time, which for the time being was fine. Loaded our bowls & we didn't have to wait long. However, soon after a couple big groups came in, which then could've used another cook. Our second bowls took about twice as long to get cooked as we had to wait for a spot on the grill to open up. Not the cooks fault at all as he truly was doing his best as it was just him. As we were finishing up, another cook came on. There are a lot of options to load your bowl with even for kids. With having pasta, hamburgers, & hot dogs, they will provide you with buns for them. I love this type of concept as I'm picky eater, so adding in only what I'll eat is perfect. Like others have mentioned though, all the sauces are sweet & there aren't any options to add like seasonings or sauces like soy sauce. My noodles were also kinda burned on the second round. We were celebrating my daughters birthday at Disneyland and decided to give this place a try. The restaurants focal point is the round Mongolian grill, with buffet counter for the meats/food to cook and a buffet for the salad. Drinks were moderately priced and overall tasty. They have plastic gloves when handling tongs. Add your noodles, veggies then proteins to the metal bowl. Put the sauce in a separate container and bring it to the next empty spot around the grill, they will mark it with a flashing hockey puck. Feel free to mix and match your sauces and bring extra cups if you're doing alfredo/marinara rather than the Asian sauces. Let me save everyone the stress... don't go at 6pm for dinner. There was a line and the grill was full and people were waiting around to put their food on the grill. Once it hit 630 everything calmed down and there was no more line. Our kids got chicken in the orange sauce - very good Chicken in alfredo - not good at all Beef in teriyaki + schezwan + garlic - very good Chicken and shrimp in chipotle - good Burgers - probably the best thing on the menu Proteins will be a bit charred... just an FYI For the birthday girl, they set the grill on fire and sang happy birthday. Points off for people who weren't wearing masks at the buffet. We stopped eating after a woman without a mask sneezed twice into the protein section. She couldn't cover her mouth bc her hands were full. I get that we aren't at a 4 star restaurant but that's just nasty, covid or not. The food was AWFUL!!!! The cooks are cooking on a extremely high grill and burning and scorching EVERYTHING (see photo). As a result I don't believe I will ever return to this restaurant again for private party dining or any group dining. I have been to Fire & Ice on multiple occasions celebrating birthdays for family or friends. I love this place! I like it because it's literally all you can eat, and they make your food right in front of you. There is a food bar with different veggies, proteins (including seafood), sauces, noodles, rice etc. You put everything you want in the bowl and walk it to the center of the restaurant where the chefs work their magic on the hibachi grill. You get to create the meal you want with the flavors they provide. Can't go wrong with an experience like that! If I know I'm coming here, I usually don't eat all day knowing I'm going to get all I can eat! And all for about $20. Worth every dime, and the drinks are great as well. But not a good choice if you're looking for an intimate quiet experience. Food is very good overall. They have a nice selection of seafood and sauces. As well as plenty of salad. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy. But that is understandable. They have a full bar, and the last time we were there our server was also mixing his own drink orders. This is a combination of Mongolian BBQ and American food. Think of if this way, you go to a Mongolian bbq place (with a lot topping options) and not only do they have the typical noodles and veggies but they also offer burgers, hot dogs and Philly cheesesteaks. Our family had a variety of different foods and it was all great. About halfway through our dinner a large group of teenagers was seated for a party and even with an instant 15 additional people the cooks were able to keep up and were all very pleasant and playful with the customers. Our waitress, Samantha, was great. She was very attentive and made sure to explain to us how the menu worked since this was our first time. She checked in on us often, made recommendations and was overall welcoming. I felt like I was being tended to by one of my aunts Pro tip: you can grab your burger patty and whatever toppings you want on it (I did some mushrooms, onions and bbq sauce) and they'll cook them and then ask if you want tomatoes, buns toasted, cheese, etc. once at the grill station. There wasn't one piece of anything on the grill, nothing at all. The bar looked busy, but no one was eating. My family and I enjoyed dinner at Fire + Ice to celebrate my graduation from grad school. I had gone to the location in Lake Tahoe and loved it, so wanted to try the Anaheim location. It's such an awesome place and honestly really great for the price. It's super reasonable considering it's all you can eat and incredibly customizable. We went on a Friday evening and the DJ outside was playing the best music. It was a bit too loud for a restaurant because I couldn't hear anything, even inside. At least the music was good! Unfortunately, last Thursday my girlfriend and I came to have dinner here around 8:11pm. We were seated at our table, we got our first round of food and about 2 minutes later the chef called for "last call". We were never told that the restaurant was closing at 8:30pm this particular night. By the time the grill closed we only had enough time to get 1 bowl of food and a small salad and was charged around $64 for this. From start to finish we were only allotted about 28 minutes to have dinner and 1 bowl of food each. In my opinion this is not appropriate for the full dinner price of $64 as we were not warned that we would only have such a short amount of time before the grille would be shut down. We should have been warned about the short time or given a discount to make up for it. We come here often but this time was very unpleasant and not worth the price we paid. UPDATE: as of 2/7/2023 I have not been able to get ahold of management or any customer service representatives. No one has reached out. read more

We walked into Fire+Ice at 5:40 PM and requested to sit at the bar. The host informed us it would be a 10-minute wait. We were puzzled by this, as there were only three tables occupied in the dining area and a party of two at the bar, leaving about 90% of the restaurant empty. A few minutes later, another family with a reservation arrived and was also told they needed to wait 10 minutes despite the abundance of available seating. A gentleman came in to join his two friends who were already seated at the bar. The host asked for his friend's name and then denied him entry because she couldn't find a reservation under that name. The host seemed irritated throughout the interaction. After continuously checking to see if it was our turn to be seated at the bar, but at 5:57 we eventually decided to leave. The hostess was unwelcoming and created more issues for the three parties waiting than she was helpful. Overall, this experience was very disappointing, and we won't be returning. read more

My husband and I frequent this place a bit especially if we are going to Disneyland or have been. It's the best price so you don't over spend on food at the park! The service has always been exceptional and we have always been greeted with kindness. We love that it's all you can eat so there are various options available. There's a bar area and TVs for those that are into sports. Just ask the server if you need the channel changed for your team and they will gladly do it. This place had a good concept with an AYCE Mongolian BBQ style. However, it lacks couple of things. 1) They only allow you to have 1 small bowl at a time. With that being said, some costumer's bowl was so overfull that some food fell of to the floor. They should definitely offer a tray so food items don't go falling off. 2) They only have 1 cooking station with 2 cooks. Imagine on a very busy day. 3) Limited items offered on the menu. On a busy day, you can be waiting quite a while for your food to be cooked. Would be nice if they offer appetizers and other items on their menu. 4) Food is definitely over done after waiting. Since it's a busy day with many items being prepared, your meal would definitely be over cooked and burnt. 5) Quite pricey for what's offered ($25 per person) Your better off going to your $19 Chinese buffet that offers Mongolian bbq with more choices. The salad bar was full of fresh ingredients as well that we were able to have. The table service was not as quick, and we did have to remind our server once for our drinks. Have been to both this location and the one in Lake Tahoe. Love this place. Pros: - Very delicious food with a fun interactive aspect. An all-you-can-eat experience where you grab a bowl and choose from a plethora of food options, sauces, toppings. I usually go with their fried noodles and steak with teriyaki sauce and ask for steamed rice on the side. After you choose your ingredients, make your way to their open grill and they cook your food right in front of you - Staff is very friendly. From the waiters to grill cooks, they often checked on us and refilled our drinks without us asking - Tip: Go during lunch time: It's $18 a person for AYCE during their lunch hours and less crowded Cons: - None I also heard they have AYCE weekend brunch where they serve pancakes and omelettes on their open grill.
