We ate here since we were staying at the hotel. Figured it was convenient. Well, it could of been a much more enjoyable experience on multiple areas. First, the server was not personable, didn't come over to say hi and welcome us in, just threw a couple of menus in the table and left. Then when he came to take our order, again didn't say hi just "can I take your order". We ordered chicken wings, potstickers, chicken fried rice and garlic shrimp noodles. Potstickers had a good flavor but a little undercooked. Chicken wings were over done, very dry couldn't eat them. Fried rice with chicken, chicken dry over done. Garlic shrimp noodles were dry noodles with no flavor (where's the garlic!), but shrimp was tasty. Ambiance was okay, but I'm in an American Asian restaurant just seemed weird to hear Mexican music be played. The server was not engaged with us from the beginning to the end. This restaurant accommodated a high school Disney field trip and the breakfast was awesome. But I came here another time previously to this and the poke nachos were really disappointing. It felt like a restaurant trying to be bougie and fancy but it was just alright. For the price it's not worth it in my opinion. Some of the portions were worth it like the rice dish I ordered attached to the image but for what we paid it was definitely not worth it so I won't be coming again. A hidden gem in Disneyland! This is a wonderful place to eat a fancy-ish dinner for a reasonable price. After a long day at Disney, we wanted a nice dinner but we didn't want to pay downtown Disney prices. Since we were staying at the Four Points hotel, we decided to walk back and give it a try. We didn't have high expectations given it was a hotel restaurant. However, once we arrived around 6pm we were instantly seated. I was hangry so this made me so happy. We ordered coconut shrimp as an app, lobster ravioli and short rib for our entrees. The appetizer came out right away probably within 5 min. It was freshly fried, and delicious. Highly recommend! Lobster ravioli - HEAVENLY. I am a lobster fanatic and the dish was super rich and creamy, with hints of flavorful lobster pieces inside. It also had some tender shrimp (not listed in the description) which was a nice add on protein. Brownie Sundae - I mentioned to the server there was a check in offer, and I was offered a free dessert. I chose the brownie sundae (because chocolate and ice cream duh) and it was really good! Super warm and rich, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I preferred that the brownie would've been more fudgey instead of cakey, but my husband liked the chocolate flavor a lot. I'm honestly baffled at all of the reviews saying, "great & attentive service" because we didn't experience any of that when we stopped in around 8:05pm on Monday 2/14/22. It looked pretty dead, there were only about two other tables (plus two one-tops that looked to be cashed out, just sitting). We sat there for a good 20min, no waters or anything... at the 10min mark, someone stopped by and said they'd be right with us. Another 10min passed and another server happened to drop three waters off to a table close to us.. would it have killed them to add two additional waters on that tray for my husband and I? No. Did they do that? Absolutely not. I'm betting that neither server wanted to take care of us because we had a baby, what other reason is there? They clearly weren't busy because the dining floor wasn't slammed or anything. We got up and left, took our business elsewhere. Lil Asian twist located inside four points Sheraton. Once inside the restaurant we were greeted and seated by the bartender. Once we were established the bartender asked us if we would like to start off with something to drink? I responded yes, and we are going to order a few things most likely it will be over 30 bucks so can I cash in on this yelp coupon? Waiter was cool he said no problem. The ambiance was very nice and peaceful. Then comes the waiter. I felt like he was a little standoffish at first because I seen some pics on yelps page and I wanted to order some of the dishes there. Unfortunately the menu has changed dramatically, but there were still great choices. I ordered the salmon fried rice and my fiance ordered the teriyaki chicken and veggies with a side of BBQ wings. I then asked him about the yelp check in and he told me they did not do it anymore. I responded well that's funny because the bartender said no problem. I asked to speak to the manager? He responded in a firm tone that she was out. Then he looked at the bartender as if I was lying and asked him while my time was running out on my coupon. For vegetarian options, I wouldn't recommend them for dinner. First off, the good: The Brussels sprouts were quite tasty. I ordered a Cobb salad and asked for no meat. It was sprinkled with bacon. I ordered the nachos without meat. The chips were stale. You're better off crossing the street for a Nachos Bel Grande at Taco Bell. The following day we stopped by for the breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet was good, no complaints other than the price, $17.99 is outrageous for buffet style breakfast but it was convenient so I ate there 3 mornings in a row. I ordered a bacon mac n cheese entree, it was disgusting, imagine melted Velveeta cheese then letting it get cold then sprinkling on bacon bits out of a can or jar, that's pretty much sums up this dish. Tru Grits is definitely not your typical restaurant... the speed of the service and the middle of the hotel set up isn't for everyone, and the menu is getting smaller and smaller. But my boyfriend and I love to bring some books and enjoy the delicious food!! The lobster ravioli is obviously the star. We tried the steak nachos on our last trip and that's now a staple for us too! I really miss the carbonara and lobster roll and hope they come back some day, but even if most of our favorites are gone, it's still worth it for the other items! My one complaint is the desserts are a little... Denny's. Her mother-in-law, Pei-mei Fu, was a famous Taiwanese cooking-show host and wrote over 30 cookbooks. So when I first heard she has a restaurant near Disneyland, I immediately bookmarked this Asian fusion restaurant. Tru Grits is located in the Hotel Ménage and the hotel offers 2-hour complimentary parking (only 5 spots) for Tru Grits customers. Dining atmosphere was very casual and felt like a trendy gastropub. Our waiter was very friendly and patient because I couldn't find the Yelp check-in deal (free cream brûlée or bread pudding) on my Yelp app and he just said just let him know once I find it. The menu only had approximately 4 ~ 5 Asian dishes (e.g. beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, jajang seafood noodle, etc) while the rest of 30+ other items were salads, burgers / sandwiches, pasta dishes, chicken / steak, and other appetizers. Our waiter recommended beef short rib and chicken & waffles and ultimately I decided to go all-in on beef short rib. *** Poke Wonton Nachos (Ahi Tuna * Salmon * Cucumber * Avocado * Seaweed Salad - $12): Cream cheese and ponzu sauce tasted slightly salty, but it wasn't a terrible appetizer and I liked the overall execution of poke nacho. Came a little bit before 6 pm which is when Happy Hour ends and was able to quickly order some drinks as well as their brussel sprouts w/ parmesan and balsamic reduction for an appetizer. The waffles I received were just too fluffy which was a little bit too not well-done. The chicken was well fried though with this rich gravy sauce on top with a drizzle of syrup. Which is another thing... I don't really want a drizzle of syrup, I actually like to dunk my portions into syrup. My fault though, I should have just requested syrup on the side. As for the bacon bits, I love my bacon, but they barely had any on top. Pour some on, please. People like their bacon. If you added all the small pieces, it wouldn't have even added up to a half-slice of bacon! My friend and I also completed the Check-in Offer for a complimentary dessert which we shared. It was a giant, warm brownie with ice-cream and whipped cream. The whipped cream was a little runny (which is fine since the server apologized on behalf of the chef). Overall, the brownie was rich and flavor as well as the vanilla ice cream. It was so good that during my stay at the hotel earlier this week, I had all three of my dinners there. Here are some of my recommendations: MUST GET: Szechuan Chili Wontons - these pork wontons are cooked perfectly and served over a sesame garlic chili drizzle that is simply divine. I ordered this twice in two nights and the quality was consistently good. They're only $6.88. Bread pudding - served sizzling in a metal saucepan with pecans and two vanilla ice cream scoops. I'm still dreaming of this one. Free with Yelp check-in, otherwise a steal at $6.88. DECENT: Asian Braised Short Rib with Shiitake Grits - a bit pricey at $17.88 but filling and tasty. The grits were delicious. The meat could have used a bit more time in the oven. Crème brûlée ($6.88, or free with Yelp check-in). This was nicely done, but wasn't extraordinary like the bread pudding was. SOUNDED INTERESTING BUT DIDN'T DELIVER: Korean in Philly ($9.88) - decent value but their take on black angus bulgogi served Philly cheesesteak style missed the mark for me. Baby Back Ribs ($14.88) - served over sweet potato tots. I enjoyed the tots more than the meat. Service can be a bit slow but is über friendly. They also serve alcohol - I opted to get beer on tap. Don't know where I would have parked if they said no. Probably more convenient for people staying in the hotel to dine and not a random group browsing Yelp. One of the worst experiences in my life. I wish I could give it 0 stars. We walked in on Wednesday night and we were the only customers. We finally get our food and the rice is undercooked! It is crunchy and inedible. The kids mac n cheese had no taste no salt! So we send in both and I get nachos instead. Guess what - the nachos were stale! Now I'm pissed because it's 9pm and I'm starving. We just want to get out of there so we ask to pull up the check. And the manager comes around and starts to make up non facts and says how she can't remove 3 items from the check. Supposedly their food is very good especially their fried rice and they will get into trouble. This is ridiculous! Why would we get charged for something we didn't even eat! We ask to see the Manager and guess what?? There are NONE on site! It's a Sheraton and there isn't a single Manager on the floor. There was maybe 3-4 other parties in the restaurant. It's quite spacious and has an open layout. Even though I had a reservation, we didn't really need it. They sat us right away. Pricing of food was a little pricey, but considering it's in a hotel, that makes sense. They have a decent dinner menu with what they call "Asian inspired" cuisine, but I didn't really think so. They did offer some "Asian" inspired dishes, but I wasn't looking to try any knockoffs. I ordered a blue moon, calamari, and got their carbonara with shrimp. It could've used a little more salt so I added some, as well as black pepper to season it up a bit. Overall, it was good, but I wasn't able to finish it all. Service was good. Food was okay. This hidden gem is located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. They have their own entrance but is also connected to the hotel. I came in on a Saturday around lunch time and there was no wait. In fact, there wasn't anyone else eating, and one bartender, one server, and one other employee on staff. I received quick and friendly service nonetheless. I ordered the Signature Chicken and Waffles, which came with 2 strips of bacon, maple syrup and buttermilk gravy sauce, which I requested on the side. The menu indicated that this was $15, but the check said $13, so I think the lunch price may be $13. Either way, it felt like I got $2 off a really good dish. The wait wasn't long before the goodies arrived. I must say, this was like a gourmet chicken and waffle dish. There were 2 strips of crispy bacon layered on 2 fried chicken breast tenders, perfectly fried atop a soft waffle. The waffle may have been too soft as it crumbled when I tried to cut it, but it was tasty despite this. There was a bowl of gravy on the side and about a 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of maple syrup, which paired perfectly well with the chicken and waffle. What a combo! An exceptional balance of sweet and savory. For those reviewers who were disappointed by the tastelessness of the dish, I think they must have come on an off day because the chicken was juicy and tender and wasn't overly salty. I really enjoyed this dish and highly recommend it. In fact, I would order this again and again. I ended lunch with their bread pudding ($7 but free with Yelp check-in. Score!). It came in a cute af mini cast iron skillet and topped with 2 scoops of ice cream and pecans. No joke, this was THE BEST bread pudding I ever had, and I've been to New Orleans. It was soft and had the right amount of sweet and the perfect amount of ice cream. It was so fresh my mouth was still hot from biting into it. I'm a huge fan of bread pudding and always order it when I see it on a menu, even when I'm too full to indulge. Because hell, when I'm ever gonna get a chance to eat bread pudding again? If anything, come for this. Don't even share it. Get your own. You'll thank me later. It's well worth the $7 price tag and then some. Especially since my server overdid it on the ice cream. He deserved a good tip for that alone. As mentioned earlier, service was prompt and friendly and I didn't even have to ask for refills. Ralph (?) gave great service and was consistent through and through. Parking is located out front next to the guest check-in parking spaces.
