Boyfriend recommended this place a couple of weeks ago and I was blown away by this restaurant! Fire + Ice is an AYCE restaurant with food options ranging from Asian to Western styles of meats/carbs/veggies/sauces. You pile on your goodies into one bowl and leave it with the cooks to bring your concoctions to life. With Covid-19 protocols, they ask that you leave your bowl + card (they give this to you once you're seated. It has your name and table number so they know where to bring your food) and they are very fast with their speed of service. We had so much yummy food and not a single creation of ours disappointed. I'm not sure why I haven't noticed this place sooner, but we will definitely be coming back for sure! Bonus: Their prices are extremely reasonable too. Got to love BYO! Building your own foodie creations is so much fun. At F+I you can do anything from lunch style in Italian, Mexican, or Asian flavors. You are also able to Asian fusion it! Beside the carb (noodles/pasta) options, they are considered keto friendly because you can just do meats and vegetables. For brunch, they have omelet and pancake options. My two favorite styles of lunch to do are a classic Italian with bow tie pasta, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, and with cream sauce and garlic herb butter. The second is a straight up Asian style with ramen noodles, beef, onion, green onions, bean sprouts, mushrooms, green beans, bamboo shoots, fresh garlic, and their teriyaki/sesame sauce mixed with some spicy Szechuan sauce. Now that I think about it, I really should create an Asian fusion one next time. Perhaps an Asian cream sauce...? They are located in the Anaheim Garden Walk. Parking is best on the 4th level and with a validation you can get 2-hours comped. During this COVID pandemic time, they require masks and they have gloves available when you go through their buffet style setup. Unfortunately not everyone is adhering to the 6' apart social distance even when there are floor markers. So just try your best to stay safe! Anyway, after you get all your ingredients you just drop it off with at the Mongolian grill with the barbecuers. This place is unique as they have you choose the ingredients and then they cook it right in front of you. Note: I saw pictures of pizza on Yelp, but they no longer serve pizza. You choose noodles or rice, and then your vegetables and meat. I choose chicken, pork, steak and rib meats. You can also have a hamburger but the fries are an extra charge. You pay a flat fee and can go back as much as you like. The food and sauces were very good and our group had several dishes. The service was good and the cooks were great! read more

Im going to be honest. My own personal experience is about 2 stars because I feel the food was barely edible and it was quite expensive for what I got. However the friend I took loved it and because service was good and fast I guess I'll bump it up. Don't go in expecting Mongolian BBQ. Think of it as DIY with an American kitchen. We were in anaheim for a work convention and looking for a place that could accommodate our group and was reasonably priced but also within walking distance of The Westin. The location is stunning. This garden area is so pretty with the lights and there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The price was wonderful. All you can eat for $25 including a salad bar. Yes please. And talk about some odd combos. Everything you could imagine was on the hibachi bar to pick up including hot dogs, burgers, chicken, steak, shrimp, sausage, pork etc. The drinks were delicious. Went here with my friends to celebrate something and didn't know it wasn't a typical restaurant. The waitress wasn't attentive nor the cooks were real friendly. The food was mediocre. I do like the buffet style hibachi type of restaurant this place is. The shrimp was good but you can totally make your food less than pleasant by picking the wrong sauce so just be aware. they do have burgers and hot dogs if you want something more traditional. My family and I have been coming to fire + ice for years, and we love it every time. Food is great and we've had good experiences every time. But yesterday, the server had us move our table mid meal to accommodate for a last minute big party. I've been a hostess, so I understand the struggle, but if you had this reservation beforehand, you have to reserve those tables and not seat people in the section if you're anticipating that table. And if it was last-minute, you need to accommodate and have them wait until the parties in that section leave. We talked to one of the leads about it, but weren't given the best attitude in regard to it. Also, my aunt tried to speak Spanish to a waiter wearing a Mexican soccer jersey and was told he didn't speak Spanish so he couldn't help her, but then proceeded to speak Spanish to my dad separately. Can make burgers, philly cheesesteaks, tacos, pasta, and my fav the grilled udon noodle with shaved beef. I tried all the proteins but seems like shaved beef absorbs the flavor the most and shrimp was a good second. Service was good. Ambiance is nice when it isnt too crowded. I had a great time at Fire + Ice! It's basically a build-your-own noodle bowl/salad/burger joint. I don't even recall what exactly I used in the two plates my stomach only had room for, other than I literally piled on the noods and the meats and every sauce that added spiciness. Both times I don't know what I created what they were GOOD. Like, hard to take another bite but I just have to because it's so good but also I'm going to freaking explode good. It's also $23.00/person so you know I'm going to TRY to get my money's worth. The ingredients were so fresh, they were constantly being replaced and refilled. This restaurant is different from typical restaurants. Instead of ordering a single item on a menu (although you can do that), you pick out your food yourself. There is a large layout divided by vegetables, meats, seasonings (yes, you have to season your own food), and more stuff that I can't think of at the moment that I'm writing this. You get a bowl and grab everything that you want, and then you give it to the chef so he can cook the food for you. It's similar to Benihana in a sense, except you go up to the chef instead of the chef coming up to you. It's confusing but it's a pretty interesting concept in my opinion. Visited fire and ice 2 times during my recent anaheim visit. First attempt to visit, unfortunately the management and security were dealing with an issue so they were ignoring everyone else attempting to get service. We waited for quiet a while standing in the lobby after this disruption hoping to be sat for a table and no one even approached us, just stared at us from a far but continuing their in house conversations. We weren't with the disruptive party so we shouldn't have been ignored. Business should have continued as usual. Needless to say....we left. Came back the next day and thankfully service was impeccable. Our waitress was extremely friendly and took great care of us. They were not busy right at the 4p opening (not open for lunch hours during the week, Garden walk is pretty much a ghost town during the early afternoon) The food was amazing. All great fresh proteins and veggies, all you can eat to your hearts content. Plenty of options to choose from so I'm glad it was worth the wait to go and do the 2nd visit to finally eat. The weekend finally arrived for Jeremy and I to do the overnight Disneyland trip with our sons and at the last minute, the wives wanted to participate in some of the fun too so we all agreed to meet up for dinner with both families and then those not spending the night would head home. Since the kids had fond memories of visiting Fire + Ice up in Lake Tahoe, when this was suggested they were all in. After a few hours at Disneyland with the family we headed over to the restaurant. Had it not been for the large amount of parking, we would have been late though it took awhile to get the parking ticket as the first unit wasn't working and I had to back-up and go in the other lane. Thankfully there was no one behind me when that happened but my son and I watched the poor souls a minute or so later who drove into that lane as we were getting our ticket. We were finally altogether at our table and trying to have conversation across 12 people wasn't easy as the restaurant was fairly noisy as it was. Somewhat confused by their system of buffet, the wife and I were so busy talking we didn't see the signs posted and ended up dumping our sauce on our bowl and as we stood with our son and nephew around the grill, we were scolded for putting sauce on our food by the rather rude gentleman we could barely understand. I think our kids had about 5 plates each of food whereas we were more conservative with our 2 servings. Admittedly, the second serving was better since the sauce wasn't burned onto the food so rude guy was right. Though we got yelled at the second time for not standing in the right place beside the flashing buzzer. So many rules! They should play a video when you first walk in so we know all their systems. There seemed to be an explosion of fire of some sort whether for show or something went wrong on the grill. It did Fire + Smoke the restaurant. Not sure where the "ice" fits into this whole deal? I certainly left full and ready to recline for the evening at the hotel and had no desire to eat anything for the rest of the night though felt sad that they charge an awful lot per person. We're pretty wimpy eaters in my family so I guess that's expected. Spending time with family is always good though and the kids loved being around their cousins. read more

Found this place after not having a waiter show up at La Panchos. Wasnt sure what this was, but there was no waiting when we arrived and sat at the bar. One quick look around and we realized its a mongolian BBQ place. lucky us, one of our favorite types of restaurant. We ordered drinks which were served quickly. The cherry pineapple lemonade was delicious and was ready and waiting when we returned with our full plates. Mongolian BBQ = raw food bar of meats and vegetables, pack a bowl with what you like, pick/ make your own sauce, bring it to the chef bar and they stir fry it right in front of you and hand it back ready for you to eat. This place is a joke they gave us our bill for the dinner, and they charged $30.00 for a service charge and they never told us anything about a service charge. That is a joke. Their food is horrible, they have hot dogs and hamburgers on the buffet, who serves hot dogs or hamburgers on a expensive buffet, like that the hot dogs were all shriveled up and the hamburgers were raw where the cook cooks it for you, and then they demand a a tip for the cook, doesn't he get paid for doing his job. And then the waitress demands a tip for not even serving you the food, you have to get off your ass and get the food yourself, so what the hell does the waitress deserve a tip for.
