I have to been to many middle eastern restaurants in Nee York and the west coast, and I found my new go to spot for the best tasting kabobs. I have been here several times and both beef, chicken, lamb, and shrimp have all been consistently delicious and tender. The rice has a nice flavor that doesn't taste dry. If you want meat that literally melts in your mouth, then I would highly recommend this place without reservation. This is Part 2 of my review of Fire Kebab. I was impressed enough with the fish and shrimp kebab and wings, that I took food home. I ordered the lamb chops platter and a large split protein order of chicken and beef kebabs. I actually ordered a large platter of beef kebabs and another order of chicken kebabs, but the owner mistook my order for a split protein of a skewer of beef and a skewer of chicken, which as I indicated from Part 1 of this review, one can do if ordering a large platter. I discovered the misinterpretation when I arrived home. I instructed the Owner to put all the salad for the platters in one container, all the rice in another and all the meat in the last container. I tried everything without the sauces the first time around after heating everything in the oven. I ate all the salad, which was not much. For this, I used the white sauce, which is jogurt and herbs as best I can tell. The white sauce goes well with the salad, fish and chicken, as I later would discover. The chicken and beef do not need the sauce for the grilled flavor to come through loud and clear. They are not overcooked and are not dried out. I ate one of the four lamb chops and it was the best of them all. If you are a fan of lamb chops, get these tender and somewhat juicy lamb chops. There's just enough fat left after trimming to add to the flavor these give in abundance. The next day I finished everything, but with the combination of green and white sauces the Owner recommended. The green sauce is based on cilantro and has a little heat and bite to it. The green sauce is well balanced by the milder white sauce and their combo goes well with the beef, chicken and lamb chops. The white and green sauces amplify the beef the most; though, the lamb chops reign supreme at Fire Kebab. The Owner says one person calls days in advance to order twenty of the lamb chops at a time. I understand why. Don't sleep on the chicken. The chicken is great and many places would feature the chicken if they could serve it up the way they do at Fire Kebab. Here, the chicken has to sit behind the lamb chops and, I suspect, the lamb kebabs and the chicken pulls even with the beef kebabs. The chicken kebabs are seemingly marinated or brined. I wonder how that half chicken tastes on the menu... This quality and preparation come at a good value at Fire Kebab. They do good business here, but they should and could do better if the word gets out beyond Bay Ridge. My total came to $82, plus tip, for everything covered in both parts of this review. That's good value and high quality. I would rec only the large platters here to meet your satisfaction. Your palate will be happy and I am happy to find a place with grilled flavor highly competitive with Kebab Palace in Crystal City, Virginia; though, Kebab Palace has the chickpeas, spinach, and pita type bread and at slightly better value price points. Here in NYC, Fire Kebab is Fire and the best I've had by a good margin, reflecting the love and dedication of the Owner/Operator. He's put so much into Fire Kebab and it shows up on your plate. 4.2 stars read more

I finished every bite of the tender and juicy lamb pieces, the perfectly cooked flavorful and fluffy rice, along with the accompanying fresh veggies. The other items I was able to try were also excellent. I really enjoyed the Sambosa, which was a thin crispy dough pocket full of ground beef that was quite flavorful. The Eggplant Burani was yummy too when dipped with pitas. I am not down in this part of Brooklyn often, but really wish I had this type of little restaurant right in my backyard. Slim menu but delicious! It was a bit expensive $20 for a bowl, but the kabobs were very yummy. It's a slim interior with a decent amount of seating, but we took our order to-go. There's a bit of a wait time but everything is made fresh. I had the lamb and korma (large size -- which lets you get two kabobs), which were good but a bit understated. I've eaten here two or three times, and there's only one word to describe the food here: DELICIOUS. While Bay Ridge is an embarrassment of riches for excellent Middle Eastern food/restaurant options, FIRE KABOB still stands out for the top-notch quality and rich flavors of its dishes. The dining room is decidedly stripped-down and straightforward, but it's serviceable for sit-down eating. The kebab wraps and rice-and-salad-bolstered entrees are fresh and wonderfully prepared. I wish this place were closer to my apartment--I'd eat lunch here a few times a week. read more

My group of 6 came here after walking around the Christmas house decorations in Dyker Heights and the name of this place was no lie. This place was fire. Service was incredible and the food was better. We ordered a large plate of 1/2 Lamb and 1/2 chicken as our entree, an order of the meat sambusa, and an order of fries. The sambusa and fries came first which we ate with the 3 incredible house made sauces. The sambusa was crunchy on the outside and filled with a delicious well seasoned meat on the inside. That paired with the green sauce was delicious. The fries were also great although in the future I'll try either the lentil soup or the Kurma. Lastly the plate, again, was fire. The chicken and lamb were very flavorful and tender, which was a joy to eat. Served on a bed of rice and a salad, it all paired so well together with the juiciness of the meat, the crunch of the salad, and the rice. I decided to finally give this place a try after eyeing it for quite some time and it definitely did not disappoint. I like how they keep their menu small to really focus on the quality of each item. It also made it easier to decide what to order. We went with the potato sambosa, lamb and beef kabob plates, and the eggplant burani. To start, the potato sambosa had a nice light crispy exterior and the filling was like a well seasoned hash. I can imagine this would be great with a meat filling as well so I'll be sure to try it next time. The lamb and beef plates were great. I would lean towards the lamb a bit more as I found it more tender and juicy, although both were very smoky in flavor. As good as the kabobs were, the rice definitely did not lack either. That rice was so fragrant that I could order that on its own. Lastly the eggplant burani. Reminds me of a baba ganoush except it's served warm and is made with more spices. I actually prefer this over baba ganoush so if you love mashed eggplant I would definitely try this dish. Overall it was a great experience. My girlfriend and I stopped by Fire Kabob and WOW! This place is great! Clean dining area and SUPER friendly staff. We ordered 2 plates, chicken and Lamb and then a side of eggplant burani. The food is fresh and delicious! The rice and homemade sauces are excellent. It also came with a side of bread and salad. Can't wait to try out all their other items, we will definitely be back. I was supposed to write this review awhile ago as I'm 2 months late. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was met with such a welcoming and warm staff. I ordered the chicken kebab with the organic rice. The owner put extra sauce on the side. I chose to put the white sauce over the food and oh my goodness; every bite was delicious! This is one gem of a restaurant in Southern Brooklyn! There aren't a lot of Afghan restaurants, let alone good tasting Afghan food. The meat here is organic and halal which is a great addition to the diverse neighborhood of Bay Ridge. I love this fast casual restaurant. Went there the other day noticed it was new. I ordered a lamb wrap and fries. I must say I never in my life had a wrap that looked the size of a hot dog on a bun it was so small and skinny.
