I wish I could give it a 5+! This is a must stop place to eat. A bit off the beaten path but well worth the 10 minute drive off the 5. Everything us good. Went for lunch and will return tomorrow. Make sure to try the cobbler!!

Awesome place to stop when visiting Mt. Saint Helen's. A really great owner and you cannot beat the view off of the back porch. A really good discovery and I guess a new location too. The cobbler is pretty damn good. Had a good time teasing the owner that they didn't have any of the beers they advertised, not a one. So don't let the signs, the logos on the pint glasses or even the napkin dispenser fool you or get you worked up....

Wonderful Service and kind Staff. The Fish and Chips were awesome! Nice and crispy and had great flavor.

Coming in from the road you don't think too much about it but then you walk in it's very cozy, very quiet; the view from the patio is beautiful. Had the volunteer at bottom of visitor center not suggested it we would have missed it. And we still almost did We went on a very slow day as I saw there were extra seating available outside on the side and everything was empty. I believe it was one other party and ours in the entire restaurant, I would assume it gets much more busier as the Mt St. Helene's visitors come down. We chose to sit in the patio and it was beautiful however there were so many bees!! They should really have someone come and look for nests under the patio. Service was great my Lemonade was absolutely delicious and our food was so good. I got the fire side burger and she did warn me it was SPICY, and boy was it *****SPICY*****. My husband was absolutely pleased with his food as well. We do plan on visiting the volcano again, and this will be included on our itinerary. The lemonade alone has me wanting to go back already. Hopefully with less bees.

    Great views.

The view from the patio eating area was wonderful. We walked inside where the gift shop and history of the volcano were and asked to sit outside to eat. The waitress was very nice but I think she was a little overwhelmed with the amount of people that came in. It took a good 8-10 min to get our drink order in and another 6-8 to get it on the table. I ordered the club sandwich with beer battered fries. Both were wonderful and there was plenty for two people. The meat was very fresh and the fries were crisp and tasty. We also had the lava cake...just get it. It's great. No need to explain. It's awesome. They have a few flavored teas and the huckleberry was very good. They offer helicopter tours starting at $187 per person. I would return for the views and a drink.

Took a day trip to Mount St Helen's and saw this place on the way up the mountain. Decided to stop on our way home. We loved this little place. The waitress was amazing - thanks for the cobbler and huckleberry ice cream hook up. The chili had a nice kick to it. The black and blue burger was the best I've ever eaten. Just enough blackening spice to start to clear your sinuses without torching your mouth, the right amount of melted blue cheese to let you know it's there without overwhelming the rest of the flavors, and perfectly caramelized onions. The Orange Whip was a nice citrusy light lager. Oh, and I almost forgot the house made potato chips that were perfectly salted. I told the waitress (sorry I didn't get your name) that I don't give five star reviews unless a place has good bathrooms. She said she'd take 4 stars, hadn't had a chance to check restrooms after recent tour bus group left. No worries, the tour bus must have been full of neat freaks. If you head out to Mount St Helen's and are looking for reasonably priced, hot off the grill food and a nice cold one, you won't go wrong stopping at the Fire Mountain Grill

Portions are large here so I brought some of the mac home and am looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow. My husband tried the dip sandwich with a side of the mashed potatoes and gravy and ate every last bit. He loved it. It's a very cute cafe on the corner with friendly staff. I witnessed a man in need come in and take advantage of the program they have where you can buy a meal for a hungry person to come in in the future and have a free meal. They have a fun mix of locally made crafts, some organic food items and some weird art. Truly an original mix! But the most important things - the place was clean. The bathroom was clean. The employees were clean and exceptionally friendly and attentive. And most importantly - the food was soooo good!! Unfortunately, our visit just did not land. The bartender appeared to be doing double duty as server, and I understand what that can do to a shift. I spent about ten years working tables and other service jobs, so I have a lot of sympathy for being overworked. Still, the service felt more than rushed. It felt brusque enough that we did not feel especially welcome. The food was passable. Nothing terrible, but nothing that made us want to come back. The local beer was also a surprise, since it did not taste especially fresh. Maybe this was an off night. I hope so. There is clearly a good idea here, but our experience was a bit of a disappointment.
