They are currently booking six weeks out for a minor repair (OK, fine, it is what it is). But they want you to pay for the service when you book AND no refunds if you decide to cancel after booking (even if you're cancelling say 5 weeks out). Very un-customer-friendly policy. read more

I definitely wouldn't use them. You have to give a 50% and then they say installation is between 8-12 weeks. You can't call to get any update on when they are ready to install. Although we did call at 14 weeks and they came and didn't have the right things and they never called us again. They did say they would refund our deposit. So maybe. Just like KirkandJill W. We also purchased a Ravelli Stove RV80...it now sits on our front lawn as the FD had to remove it after a pretty intense hopper fire. Last year was riddled with issues, auger fire, stove pipe joints that disintegrated...I realize they are busy, and we did our best to remain patient but they pretty much ghosted us (when we called them to tell them about the fire, my wife got an obligatory "Ok, we've updated our CRM") and we still haven't gotten a peep out of them...hey Fire n Stone...WE'RE STILL HERE WAITING!!!!. Techs were awesome though...always clean, respectful and diligent. If you need service...be prepared to have to leave messages and wait. When I mean wait...it could be a week before a call back, and another several weeks to actually have someone show up. I would NOT recommend Ravelli to anyone...beautiful looking stove, but do your research. I should have taken more time to do mine before making the investment (look in reddit and watch independent videos, search for known issues). In total between the cost of the stove and installation, extra materials like pipe, fire mat, stove surround and mantle (that we installed for esthetics), replacement parts and pellets...we're in this for over $15k...can't even get a call back from Fire n Stone and no response from Ravelli either. Every call and email was an opportunity to keep us as a customer, but apparently they weren't interested. read more

I hired them to come and service my pellet stove. It's an older model that is no longer manufactured, and there were a few options. They were very late to arrive, and took several hours just for a cleaning and servicing. They stopped on the last part because the previous owner had used an epoxy to seal the joints on the ehxaust pipe, refused to attempt to clean it, refused to test it after their servicing for "safety reasons" then quoted me $7000 for a new pellet stove. I can't afford that, and was considering just giving up on having a pellet stove when I saw the reviews here. I regret reaching out to them, and may hire another company to take a shot at it. Also, once again, they were very late, stayed way too long and only did 2/3 of the job, yet I still paid full price. read more

Drove an hour to get to the store that was closed and the owner did not want to help because the sales rep was out for the day... would never do business with these people.. This was ridiculous. Your tech came to service our chimney and clean our pellet stove. But instead would not attempt to clean the stove. Instead he did nothing but complain about it and kept trying to sell my wife on buying a new stove. He charged us for a full chimney and stove cleaning and only did half the job. I had to them come home and clean my pellet stove the way I had expected it to be done in the first place. So thanks for charging a full price for a half price job. I will not recommend your company to anyone. And so you know I am in other peoples homes a minimum of 5 times a week with either home Inspection. Or real estate consults. I tried your company out for myself. But will not be recommending you to any client. read more

I am unhappy with the Service I received on my Pellet Stove.. when I called to have a technician come back the lady on the phone was so rude.. and she told me she was the owner of the company.. I can't imagine an owner ever treating their customers this way I had a horrible experience and never want to come back to this company again.. I'm sure the scheduling challenges change with the seasons, and I didn't mind much that we had to wait nearly two months for service, but requiring us to prepay the balance to book the appointment was a step too far for me. If the appointment was in a couple of weeks I probably wouldn't have thought much about prepaying but to call on October 4th and be offered an appointment on November 29th and expect to pay now for it was really off putting. I can see paying a deposit, but not the full 225.00 service balance. Two months is too far out. read more

We booked this appointment weeks in advance. We were required to pay the non refundable $299 at the time of booking appt. We were skeptical but they are the only company in central NH. So we had to go on faith... BAD IDEA... please don't get sucked in like we did... once they have your money they DON'T CARE about the customer !! The service person was on the phone with my husband- who was asking the service tech if needed the thermostat to get the stove to turn on. Service tech (Alex) said that he DID NOT, he could start it the stove without a thermostat. Mind you Fire and Stone advertise that they are experts on servicing pellet stoves. The service tech was not able to start our stove, because unbeknownst to the experts, this model only starts with a thermostat. (We don't allow our Airbnb guests access to the stove so we remove the thermostat) So the tech was never able to get the stove running to determine where the noise was coming from which was why we had ordered the service and cleaning in the first place ! The pellet stove technician determined that we needed a very costly new auger motor because he couldn't get the stove started!! I called a few days later, after we fired the stove right up, to inquire about the incomplete service - noise was never addressed. The owner got on the call, said that they cleaned it, service was complete. He said, "you got it running, not our fault that we didn't know that this model required a thermostat to start." REALLY?? He said we should just disregard the recommendation by their tech to order a very expensive, entirely unnecessary auger motor! During my conversation with the owner he took NO responsibility. How can you say the service, even a cleaning, is complete without starting the darn stove? Why would he... THEY ALREADY HAD OUR MONEY... Beware of prepayments... you don't get what you pay for.... read more

This place has been great to me. I bought a pellet stove a few yrs back and have been absolutely thrilled with it. Fire n stones crew came and did the install right and on time. They were clean and thorough. Any time i have needed anything Angelo and staff has responded quickly with knowledge and courtesy. I called for a quote and scheduled an apt. I then called to cancel the apt. I was asked why I canceled the apt. I advised because I had found another mason, I was told, "In the future, don't call to make an apt while you're shopping because it wastes our time." Why would I ever do that? Fire N Stone is a top notch business. We just had them do some pretty extensive work to fix what another stove company (in Chichester) had completely garbled. Everyone that we had the pleasure of meeting from Fire N Stone was professional and courteous. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and did it well. When they said they would be here at a certain date and time, they were. All work was done 100% to our satisfaction. They left all work areas spotless, both inside and outside of the house. We had both of our chimneys cleaned and sealed, as well. This is one business that we will be using for many years to come. read more

Well i am not sure how Fire and Stone wants to portray their business but to this past customer i would say lies and threats, One i posted a true and accurate review on 4/21/2016 and almost two years latter the company response with false and completely inarticulate response. Not one word was true from their response. They seem to conveniently forget to state that i had called several times and spoke with the better businesses bureau regarding their service and company as well as that the owner had called my cell threatening me telling me it would be in my best interest to retract my comments to the better business bureau. In witch let the BBB have that phone message as i also still have that message on my cell saved. I also have the paper work from date of service that they did no where was it stated chimney cap was wrong size could copy and paste that if they would like. as well as it was a wind storm not ice storm. And they offered to give us a refund towards the end witch we declined. I once again would not recommend this company to anyone for service and i stand by that people will either think about using company or use company and see what type of experience they have. And if the company Fire and Stone does not like my honest opinion of the service i revived well then sorry treat your customers with my respect and honesty then. read more
