We contracted Gerry to come out to the estate to repair and clean both our Viking patio bar grill and our chef's large Barbeque's Galore large grill. Jerry was the second person I called to repair my fire pit, which was making a hissing sound and emitting a gas smell. The first person replaced the orifice and declared the problem fixed, although the unit still made a loud hissing sound and smelled of gas. Jerry arrived within an hour or so of my call. He checked the lines for gas leaks, disassembled the unit and cleaned out the tubes and burner with a wire brush. The problem turned out to be a spider nest near the air intake hole. Gerry is THE MAN! I have a Grand Turbo that had half the burners didn't work, and the igniter had to be replaced. He had all the parts he needed to get all 5 burners "cooking"! It need a few parts.. and he was off to order and get back to me in a week or so.. I called and was notified that the parts were on back order but assured me that they would be in within the next week. Two more weeks went by.. I called again. Same answer. Now I'm frustrated that we weren't getting anywhere.. so i asked if he had looked elsewhere for this part.. No he said.. this is the only place to get it. To which i found hard to believe.. I asked for the part number and/or grill number so that i could look it up myself.. He didn't have them.. and wasn't interested in giving them to me. I hung up.. and not determined to find these parts.. I found the grill number off my grill.. found the part i needed.. and then searched.. to which i found and will have next week. Fire Paradise and Gerry - WHAT AMAZING SERVICE! I cannot say enough good things about Gerry. I gave a call, he was over in a couple of days (a Saturday no less!). He gave a time, and it was right on! I have a discontinued bbq brand (it came with the house). Before I met with Gerry, I called a couple of other places. The first place told me the parts weren't available and never came over. The second place did came over, took the BBQ apart, broke it even more, then told me he couldn't find the parts either. As a last hope, I gave Gerry a call. He came over, looked at the BBQ and gave me the news straight up that the parts are discontinued but he should be able to find them. Three hours later, he confirmed that he had the parts secured and would be over to fix. We scheduled a time. Again, he came over to fix at the stated time. All the work was done in a timely manner, and with a smile! Two things I really liked about Gerry - first of all - on time, professional, and a straight shooter! Gerry (Gerardo) was the most professional of all of the BBQ vendors I reached out to. I tried for over a month to get my BBQ serviced. Well he was beyond just professional. He was honest and got the job done. And it's worth sharing that I was stood up by one vendor who confirmed our appt and then didn't show, then refusing to respond to even explain why he didn't show! Another vendor came out, glanced at the inside of the BBQ with a flashlight, then informed me I needed all new ignitors, all new burners, and a new regulator! Later telling me that the parts are no longer available and my BBQ is basicly useless. Oh..and my burners were supposedly cracked on the bottom and not even safe to use. Gerry took everything apart, examined all of the parts, found the burners just clogged and dirty, same with the ignitors, and discovered a small leak where the regulator was attached incorrectly. Everything was cleaned and put back together and works perfectly again. I'm grateful to have found him. He's trustworthy, keeps things clean while working, and takes pride in his work.
