Love, love, love the soup bar! What was so nice about coming here is some people could have breakfast, some people could get lunch, and some people could get a full meal for dinner if they wanted.. all at the same time. The food was so good that we will definitely be returning. As busy as they were, the service was impeccable!

What a perfect stop on our way to Lake Geneva! Our server, Courtney, was so kind and helpful. The best ranch dressing and chicken tenders we've ever had! The chicken and dumpling soup was great, too. The overall atmosphere was an all you could want from a neighborhood diner. Thanks to the owner, Helen, for stopping by and chatting with us. If only we lived closer so we could try more of the menu!

We came in for lunch with a group of five. They sat us immediately. I had a bacon avocado omelette, which was tasty but a little overcooked. Also had a cup of vegetable tortellini soup. They had several homemade soups to choose from. Everyone else's meals turned out well. Service was professional and attentive. The dining room was a bit loud, but we were part of that noise.

Food is good. Highly recommended place of the Village of Antioch. Today, we had skirt & ham eggs breakfast. It was both delicious. Thank you. Ambiance is great! It's Labor Day weekend today they were so packed. However they still created the best customer service. I appreciate you all. I'll be coming back soon. Pic's below:

My sister and I grew up going here, back when it was open 24hrs, so many good memories. Came here for lunch on Father's Day as my dad is still a regular. After living outside the area it made me realize how important it is that they hire younger workers. Our waitress was super sweet and answered all questions. They had a variety of soups for the day (definitely one of the things they're known for) and I was incredibly happy one of them was GF! Everything about this place has stayed the same throughout the years, other than the updated decor; Christos was an extra special touch. Bravo!

I'm not from Antioch, but a colleague's description of the Vegas Cafe lured me into making the 30-minute drive. Downtown Antioch is full of charm. Even so, the Vegas Cafe's curb appeal assured me that this breakfast destination was worth the drive. The website and reviews prepared me for 50s-style dining. What caught my attention immediately was the craftsmanship and quality of the decor, seating, and construction over all. Although I care about these things, this isn't where I typically start my reviews. What dining at Vegas made me realize is that most 50s diners use that era as an excuse to make things cheap. Vegas, however, is more of a classy Frank Sinatra diner than a red-and-white themed dive filled with greasers named Doody, Sonny, or Putzie. I loved how the look--from the molding to the movie posters to the paintings--invited closer inspection. Well crafted. Well done! The menu embodies those high class values, too. If you're looking for a shot of nostalgia, it's on Vegas's walls. You won't feel nostalgic while browsing their menu--and that's a GOOD THING. Frankly, Betty Crocker's industrialized food innovations that came out of the 1950s didn't make that era known for healthy or even quality meals. The menu at Vegas is filled with much better food options than I expected. I wouldn't call their choices particularly "fancy," but they're definitely not "cheap" either. I was very happy with my meal and its price. Finally, the service was stellar. We went for a Sunday brunch and the wait was 20 minutes. We were seated in 17. The servers were on top of things. I never felt rushed, even though the staff's kinetic energy definitely added to the happening vibe that I loved.

Breakfast all day at a restaurant is always a win!! The Vegas Cafe did not disappoint. It was about noon when we arrived, but the smell of the kitchen going really gets you going. The eggs are real eggs, the wholeness and flavor is there. The potatoes and sausage were also wholesome and flavorful. I did request GF pancakes in lieu of toast and they happily obliged. Our waitress was very attentive, even with someone in our party running a tad late from work. She was awesome, the food was awesome, a good local spot to grab a real and filling meal.

I've been going to some form of this family owned business since 2001 ! I'm never disappointed in the atmosphere food and hospitality! It feels like family to me! In the summer or breaks I can go weekdays... now I have to find time on the weekend! I understand the cafe aspect of the times but I miss going to Vegas Cafe! As soon as I find a weekend end day I'll be there for some famous homemade soup or a breakfast !

After visiting this cafe a few more times and ordering different items I had to adjust my review. Previously, I mentioned good benedicts - this only applies to the avocado benedict, the rest...with the traditional hollandaise sauce, are a thing of nightmares. I was served a plate covered in stark white sauce...I have never had a worst hollandaise sauce. To this day, I cannot figure out how a sauce, typically made with egg yolks, came out looking lighter than biscuit gravy. Do not get anything with their hollandaise sauce. What I don't see mentioned a lot is their burgers! Their burgers are fantastic. The bourbon is my favorite with a bourbon sauce and bacon. Their chicken salad on toast is also quite good. A few other misses, to my disappointment - the soup, the cinnamon rolls, and the rolls. These may taste great when first made but I was served items that tasted like and had the texture of days old products that were well past their prime. I would rather be told they are sold out of an item rather than be served old food.

You do walk into a time capsule but the food was made fresh, of good quality and served quickly, the portion size was large and was very good. Since then I've come back several times and tried different menu selections and so far none has been a disappointment. Keep in mind this is an old school diner type joint but where else in this day and age can you get 2 breakfasts with endless coffee for 22 bucks? NOWHERE that I have found. Go to any other place in antioch or anywhere else and your walking out with over a 50 dollar bill for basically the same food. Or you can go to mcdees and pay the same for 2 cappy sandwiches and hash browns. More if you want coffee. Thier burgers are one if not the best I've had in antioch and the fries are awesome was well. Love the home cut potatoes, especially well done. Thank you Bobby you have made a regular out of me.

There's lots of parking in the gravel lot; several cute planters ring the entrance and outdoor patio. The cafe has several counter seats and maybe 10 tables indoors (there's also a covered outdoor patio with additional seating in warmer months). This is a first-come-first-serve sort of place; when you come in, you wait in line until a table or counter seat opens up. All of the waitstaff was cheerful and helpful and came around with fresh coffee a few times. I had a veggie omelet with a berry cup and sourdough toast. The veggies were cooked nicely with just the right amount of browning and flavor. There were a lot of interesting specials (country meatloaf with eggs and potatoes, for example) and the coffee and ice team were super fresh. We'll be back!
