Fire Taproom is located in the Delta Shores shopping center in Elk Grove! My friend and I stopped at Fire Taproom to grab a drink and waste some time before attending an event at The Hot Spot next door a couple of weeks ago. The inside had a huge bar plus tables spread throughout - they also had an entire wall of beer taps that were self-served. You drank how much you wanted and then paid at the end, I think? Sounds like a cool concept. We ordered a Black Cherry Margarita and a Peach Mule - we both really liked what we ordered! The bartender was really nice and gave great recommendations! While we didn't order food, we did peruse the menu and they had a lot of good options like Chicken Wings, Fish and Chips, Fettuccini Alfredo - plus different salads, sandwiches, burgers and even pizza! I remember when they 1st opened this place-my buddy and I were going to the movies next store and we were a little early so we ventured in for a peek and we were greeted by the wonderful owner who showed us his wonderful business-a tap house,with so many self pour beer options on the wall-I knew at that moment they had a lifelong customer.Going to Fire Taproom at Delta Shores shopping center would be a new part of my movie going experience going forward. And it for sure has been. So here is how it works here-when u walk in,you register a debit or credit card at the front desk and then they get you a pour card and then take you to your seat.This pour card allows you to go to the self pour section of the restaurant and grab a glass and pour beer to your hearts content. Each time you pour yourself a drink you can tell on the screen how much your pour is going to cost.Then at the end of your visit you turn in your pour card and they charge you for whatever damage you incurred. Pretty straightforward-It's so easy to rack up a tab,but honestly isn't that part of the fun.Its great for happy hour or killing some time before a movie or dinner. This place does have a pretty good food menu as well-mostly serving bar type food-though over my many visits I have tried most of their menu,I will say be careful when ordering food,make sure you have time,more than a few times the kitchen was super slow and ran right into my movie start time before food arrives,not all the time but enough time where it's something we think about when ordering food. Food has been mostly pretty good with the chicken wings and the tri-tip sliders my personal favorites when ordering food here. Another thing I do like about this place-they have a lot of TVs,so pretty much guarantees a great view from everywhere in the establishment. They also show all the UFC events at this bar-I know do to recent changes a lot of people are watching at home these days but if one does want to get out in the world to watch a UFC broadcast-this is an excellent place to make that happen. Not a beer person?No problem-this place does have a full bar for those of you who would prefer a cocktail Happy Hour is a thing here as well-so if in the area around happy hour-they got you covered with various food and drink discounts. Went here while visiting the area wanting to get a bite to eat and a drink. Me my husband and our friend. The food was subpar at best for the price. They were out of pretzels the salad was very basic. I will say the shrimp appetizer was really good. My husband did the beer which was fine weird concept with the tap card thing but thats fine. Me and friend ordered 2 cocktails. We got our meal and ate more than half of it before recieving the cocktails (probably waited 30 min for them?) When we got there the only waiter in the place put my husband's card on file said it was for if he didnt return the beer tap card there would be a $15 fee. Fair. We paid for our tab in cash. Left a cash tip. Now we are back home and there is a $6xx& .01 charge on my husband's card.... Wish we lived in the area to get that rectified... read more

FUN Sports bar! Delicious food & drinks. Great service! What more could you ask for?! The beer wall is fun to explore and find out what you want in a beer. Service a bit slow no one there to help him with food orders, it was busy due to NFL games. Visited with some friends to catch up and watch some sports. If you're planning to drink the beer on tap, staff can provide you with a card you can use to swipe the self-serve beer machines. There's an array of different beer with various pour sizes. We also ordered a pizza that was pretty solid. We kept forgetting to retrieve our cards from the the beer machines and staff was nice enough to return our cards. Great spot to watch sports games. Will definitely visit again! read more

I remember coming here close to the opening and being pretty unimpressed with the food, but we did enjoy the atmosphere, service and beer selection. It's been a while since then, and I have to say the food seems to have dramatically improved since then! They have an item called "Deviled Eggs" that casually mentions also being a cheeseburger in the description?? We were so confused, but obviously weren't going to skip the opportunity to try something new. Well... they somehow literally were tiny "deviled egg cheeseburgers" and they were DELICIOUS. A bizarre combo? Absolutely. Will I come back here just for those in the future? Absolutely! The rest of the food was tasty, if not a bit on the salty side, but it all had a nice pub food flare to it. I have to say that the menu here has a lot more variety than I would expect from a place like this. My partner got some tasty fish and chips, my buddy got a solid philly cheesesteak, and I got a bacon chicken avocado sandwich that was very good. Everything seemed quite fresh, including the generous garden salad they included with my meal in place of fries. We can't comment on beers because we didn't have the time to try a bunch, but there certainly was a wide selection. That said, I will say that getting service started was a bit awkward, as no one approached our table until I asked the bar tender how to order. Beers were good probably the only good thing. Service was extremely slow for only being one of 5 people in there. Wings were dry and overcooked which in a restaurant setting with few customers there is very little room for error or mistakes. Capitalize on slow times to perfectly execute good food. Cute little brew tap in Delta Shores. A friend and I wanted to grab a drink without the restaurant environment and without having to go to a club/bar in downtown, and this was the perfect spot. We loved the vibes and the ambiance was great for mature folks. Food was a little slower to come out, but it is a bar. I don't mind waiting a little longer for my food to be made to order. I'm giving this place 2 stars just because it's a great place to watch sports and for the beer options. We stopped by for food and a cocktail but man, oh, man...do not get a cocktail here. I'm a manager in the food and beverage industry--this place made me cringe! My food took over 30 minutes (I only ordered a salad with chicken) and ordered a Paloma. My Paloma was NOT made with the correct ingredients. The person training the bartender walked her through on how to make a Paloma but as I watched him pour triple sec and didn't pour any lime juice, I knew I was not getting a Paloma. Again, not a great place if you're in a rush to go anywhere but a great place for JUST a beer and to watch sports. read more

Our food was fresh and cooked perfectly (I had the fish & chips and my friend had the hangover burger with fries). I stopped in today to just have a quick drink while I waited for takeout from a nearby establishment. The waitress was very quick to come over to me and asked if I wanted a wristband for the self-serve beer wall, to which I replied no thank you, that I was only going to have a whiskey. She said that she was going to run something to the other table and would be right back. For the next 10 minutes I sat as she went between the kitchen and the only table with customers, checking on them to see if they wanted additional food or drinks, while she passed the bar and asked other patrons at the bar if they needed food or anything else. There was also another waiter/bartender behind the bar who did everything from washing glass, to make and take sips of his own drink and then proceed past the bar to change the stations on the tv. After the initial waitress passed me once again and was having a conversation with a patient on the other side of the bar, I advise it I was just going to leave. She looked in amazement and asked me if I had not been already helped. I advise that I had not but yet the other bartender had time to make and drink his own beverage and check on everyone else except for me, essentially having time to do everything but the 10 to 15 second task of pouring a whiskey from the bottle to a glass. She asked me, if I was just going to leave, and I said yes. To wish she responded, okay, never acknowledging the lack of service or attentiveness. read more

Great location, love the idea of it. Execution is lacking. Saturday night and 1 bartender running the bar and the tables - he could use another person helping. Tried sitting at the bar but the chairs are too short and have small seats, coupled with no step to put your feet to help keep you in your chair made it very uncomfortable. Low top tables were better but the chairs again were very uncomfortable. Food took about 45 minutes, and we give it about a 6/10. Now our judgment could be clouded because the food took so long and we were so uncomfortable. Also note that this restaurant does not take Apple Pay or android pay. There was also a credit card surcharge added to the bill of 2.9%. This restaurant could be a lot more successful with a few furniture changes, nobody wanted to sit at the bar because of the uncomfortable chairs and how short the chairs were. read more

I'll start with the good: the "secrets in bed" drink was good. The bad: extremely slow service with only one person working the bar AND the tables. We received our wings after about 30 mins (not terrible wait time) and they were super small and hard as heck! We had friends join us shortly after and the guy never came back to get their order and flagging him down was impossible. We needed up leaving and going to a nearby bar and grill. Edit: the owners response to me is a flat lie. The menu does not say SELECT wines and the server never explained that it was only select wines until after we received the bill and enquired why my wine wasn't 50% off. It's deceptive at best, but if the owner's response is going to be to gaslight and lie then I guess I see where the original poor customer service came from. The place was fine, very loud, lots of beers. The food was decent although portions were pretty small. The thing that takes it from maybe 3 down to 1 star is that I specifically asked about happy hour, the table menu said "Wines 50%" then there was a list of wines on the facing page. When the bill came we were charged full price because it's only 3 super secret select wines that were half price. That was never relayed and that's not what they said when I ordered. (They also didn't have the first wine I ordered.) They refused to refund the $5.50 and basically said "too bad." Terrible service, terrible communication, we certainly won't be back and I encourage you to go elsewhere as well. There are so many options here, why support scammers? read more

Lotta potential and I will definitely come back. I tried a lot of their beers the second time I went. The employees have to reset your beer card every few drinks in order to check that we aren't drinking irresponsibly. That's probably a good idea. Some advice in regard to the card recharging thing. I think it's probably better to go when it's not as busy. The employees eventually couldn't cover us when we needed recharging. They were busy w entertaining the folks not concerned w the actual taps (food shots ect). Nobody was at the pay counter to renew the cards as the night went on. No big. I think the place is growing and those things work themselves out. Overall I see this catching on and hopefully growing to up to where I live. Till then I'm going to keep checking this place out.
