I may have caught them on an off day but the food was quite mediocre and off balanced this time. Quality- the white fish pasta had good flavor but non of it was on the fish. I was very bland flaky fish that was grilled or pan fried. The lamb chops were nauseating to eat. It was overpowered by the cheese they used on top of each lamb chop. It was honestly disgusting how much cheese was on top of each piece of lamb. The pot roast was ok but the meat was not moist at all. It was too dry and I had to drink water with it to get it down. The good news though is that the gnocchi steak dish is still excellent. The calamari was undercooked and not crispy. Quantity- not worth it for the money. You don't get much bang for your buck. Wonderful food, service is always on point! Went on a Monday for 1/2 price pasta and was a bit disappointed, felt like they were kicking out entrees too fast and the pasta sat on the pass way too long. Ordered lobster pasta, the table next to me did also and I was shocked that they looked completely different! Stay away from Monday pasta, quality and quantity definitely suffer otherwise go any other night for great food. I love this place. read more

Well, I just found a new fav! I met my SIL here for a mom's night out. It was such a lovely experience. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Our sever, Joel, asked if this was our first time dining, which it was, so he happily shared 'fan favorites' with us. I started with the Moscato and my SIL had a chardonnay. The drinks were great! We then split a few apps and a pasta dish. We had the asiago stuffed gnocchi and heirloom tomato caprese. The gnocchi is so amazing I could eat it as an entree and every day for that matter. :) The Caprese was enjoyable and refreshing. We then shared the vodka pasta dish minus the prosciutto. You could tell the pasta was homemade and we left no noodles behind! Joel checked-in with us periodically and the team worked seamlessly to clear and serve plates. Been going to this place for years. The menu has some excellent offerings. The mussels appetizer is tremendous. Typically end up with a daily special for my dinner but always get the mussels. Service is typically excellent. It can get loud in there and while I understand that people want to watch sports I'm not sure that's what I want to do here. But they do have a large TV in the dining room now. Try and get reservations as the wait can be long. read more

Rachel, our server, was absolutely exceptional: bright, attentive, and proactive in the best way. She made us feel genuinely welcomed without ever being overbearing--true hospitality at its finest. We called ahead at 3:45 to confirm space for a table for 8, including 2 high chairs, and were told they could accommodate us. My cousin arrived less than 10 minutes later with her toddler and baby, only to be told they couldn't seat her. When she mentioned our call, the staff acted as though the conversation never happened. Two hostesses whispered instead of addressing the issue directly, and eventually another staff member came over and again said they couldn't seat us. It's frustrating that they would confirm our reservation but then refuse to honor it--especially knowing we had young children and wouldn't be lingering. It gave the impression they simply didn't want our business, which is hilarious considering the restaurant is 3/4 empty at this time of day. We've tried Fire + Wine before and had poor service, but decided to give it another chance after hearing it had been redone. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Thankfully, we walked across the street to Maize + Mash and had a wonderful experience, as always. From now on, we'll stick with restaurants that truly value their guests--Marinella Italian Restaurant, Maize + Mash, A Toda Madre, Nobel House, and Sushi Ukai never disappoint. The front of house at Fire and Wine will not make you feel welcome and there is a hidden gem in Marinella just a block away if you want Italian. read more

We drove to the restaurant directly and it was packed at 6:15pm on a Saturday. The waitress asked us if we put our name down. So is there some sort of waitlist? If yes why don't they let us know when we first called? They could improve on communication skills. Back to the wait, we were at the bar for an hour before getting seated. The menu was great! Lots of options and vegetarian options. I had seafood and my husband got some ravioli. Portions were just right! Drinks were fun as well. I wouldn't go for the desserts. Love this place. Stopped by on a snowy evening for a dessert and coffee run! I can't resist their beignets, piping hot and with a scrumptious chocolate dipping sauce; we got that and a panna cotta, which my friend devoured. We got right in to Fire and Wine at 7:00 pm only because it is a Tuesday. I highly recommend calling ahead. We ordered our favorite App, Ricotta with Honey. We get a sidecar of GF bread which is my favorite with this appetizer. I orders the Vodka Pasta, which was my first time. Love it. It will be my favorite going forward. The char taste on the pizza from to wood fire pizza oven is amazing. They also recently had a grill shrimp scampi that was the best I've ever had. They quality of their food is worth the price. During the entree portion, we were clearly not done eating and mid bite were asked if we wanted boxes. We clarified that we were still eating and he dropped dessert menus without us asking. Soon after, the server came again with boxes asking if we wanted dessert. The frequent visits and pushing us to make decisions quickly was not what we expected. We stayed for about an hour and 15 minutes. We were a group and came to sit down, catch up, and enjoy ourselves. Instead, we felt rushed and not like "cherished guests" they claim to serve. I used to like this place but I will not be coming here again and I do not recommend it if you are wanting to actually sit down and enjoy your food. read more

We were celebrating a birthday and our server, Rachel, was so accommodating the whole night! The birthday girl wanted a dish that was no longer on the menu so Rachel worked with the chefs to recreate it pretty closely to the original favorite. She brought a lovely dessert with a candle for the whole table (on the house) and was diligent refilling drinks all night! This is why Fire and Wine continues to be a family favorite! Mel G was very helpful presenting the current specials and her own personal recommendations to accommodate our particular preferences. We started off with 2 of their delightful mocktails to coincide with our "dry January's" alcoholic restrictions. The current special was a free appetizer with 2 mocktails, so we agreed upon the Arrancini. The Vodka sauce popped with flavor, while the rice balls crispy texture delighted the senses. For dinner my date chose the Vodka pasta with grilled chicken, and I, the Chicken Caprese. Words can't do justice for how delicious these dishes were. After deciding to save half of the generous portions, we ordered a grand finale of 2 cappuccinos and a Chocolate Ganache cake. The rich velvety Ganache melted in our mouths without any sense of an oversweet compensation. The cappuccinos paired well and it was the perfect way to end an evening. My husband ordered the Linz Heritage Angus Short rib. He loved it! The meat was very tender and he especially loved the risotto that came with it on the side. He said it was the best risotto he's ever had. Full of flavor and so creamy. I had the vegetables + gnocchi. It normally comes with a cream sauce and I asked to sub for marinara instead. No issues asking for that substitution. Dare I said this marinara sauce is better than my Nana's? I've never enjoyed just a simple dish like this at any restaurant before this much. The best marinara sauce I've ever had. The vegetables were delicious with this dish and the texture of the gnocchi was perfect. Overall the food is 10/10!!
