If you want the garlic noodles as an upgrade from the fries you need to ask for it as they don't offer. The soda machine choices are: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, root beer, brisk, Sierra Mist, and Tropicana. Syrup flavors: cherry, vanilla, strawberry. The Thai chili is a little bit sweet and not at all spicy. The salt and pepper I liked better but I've definitely had better salt and pepper wings at other places. For a while we were trying to get through all of the flavors they offer, but once we tried their salt and pepper chicken wings (bone-in obviously) we haven't ordered a different flavor since. They're not lying with this title! They're called Fire Wings for a reason. I tried the buffalo stampede which I found to be comfortably spicy (and I have a high tolerance btw) and very flavorful. This was one of my worst food experiences ever. Me, my mother, and husband came for dinner. We ordered three ten-pieces. When the food arrived, the first thing we noticed was that all of the fries were cold. We asked for the fries to be remade and they quickly came back out at the same temperature. My mother ordered the garlic parmesan wings, which were under the "dry" sauces. When her wings came, they were soaked in oil. The manager of the store told us that the garlic parmesan wings are butter-based. To much of my dismay, the wings were sitting in a pool of butter with light parmesan sprinkled on top. We immediately went to the manager and asked for the flavor of the wings to be switched. We were informed that if customers do not like the flavor of the wings, they did not have the option to switch flavors. Although this was disappointing, what was much worse was the red spots found on my husband's wings. My husband had ordered lemon pepper wings. After eating a few of the wings, he noticed red on the bottom row of the wings. We, once again, went to the manager and asked why there was red on the wings. The manager replied and said that the wings must have been cross-contaminated with one of their red sauces. Angrily, I asked how the manager could be sure that this was sauce and not blood from undercooked chicken. The manager could not guarantee me of this. I asked for a refund and was informed that I could only get a refund for one of my ten piece orders or a ten dollar gift card. I was also told that he did not know the number to corporate or his boss and that he was the only person whom I could speak to. First, we noticed that it was clean but, there really isn't too much seating (at least to where you're comfortable and not facing the wall). I'm writing this review in hopes that the owners, who I believe genuinely want to make this business work out, will take some of my thoughts into consideration. This place has a lot of potential! THE FOOD: My friend and I ordered: large garlic noodles, regular fire fries, small side of rice, lemon pepper wings, Korean kick wings, and Saigon street wings (20 wings total). The price was around $32. I love Asian fusion chicken wings, and was so excited to try all of these flavors. I don't think I've ever eaten in a place, even in Davis, where *everything* we ordered tasted this bad. It even came up repeatedly the rest of the evening of how bad the food was. We couldn't forget how bad it was! It's not even, "This is so junky. I'll crave this on self-loathing nights to myself." All the flavors were totally off - one-dimensional (all sweet, all sour, or all fish sauce, and no flavor) and kind of sickening. The wings are pretty large, juicy, and crispy. So they were cooked well. Lemon pepper flavor was a dry rub with lemon powder - too sour, and where was the pepper? It would have tasted much better with real lemon - there was no aroma. How 'bout some lemon zest, or fresher pepper? Even just a lemon wedge on the side might make the smell/taste better. Korean kick was so freaking sweet and ketchup-y. You wouldn't have guessed it was Korean just by eating it. Also, it seems strange to me that there isn't spice in this flavor, when it's "Korean." It was so sweet and flavorless that it left you wanting more - spice, gochujang, acidity, garlic, sesame oil? Saigon street (the best of the three bad flavors, probably just because it was mildly spicy) just tasted like fish sauce and sugar, which sounds good in theory, but was really sweet and cloying. I need some acidity - lime juice? Cilantro? Garlic? Give me flavor! Garlic noodles tasted like the powdered parmesan they add to the crust of Domino's Pizza, except it wasn't even devilishly tasty like Domino's pizza, but was sweet! Ugh. Why is there sugar in the garlic noodles too? Milky, buttery, garlicky, sugary noodles - it's very hard to swallow this mix of flavors. Fire fries were somewhat classic flavors of buffalo-esque sauce, blue cheese drizzle, and dried chili flakes. These, I felt, were hard to go wrong, but even after being cooked well, they still lacked any dimension of flavor. It was sour, but I wanted salt, stinkier blue cheese, maybe some fresh slices of jalepeno if you're going to just dust dried chili on the fries (be careful not to inhale by accident). Sodas were regular Pepsi products - strawberry flavoring tastes like Pepto Bismol medicine. (This isn't really the restaurant's fault though.) I'm just really sad about this evening. THE SERVICE: They just opened, so things were a little chaotic. The managers were very eager to please, came by to check things with our food, catered to my friend's milk allergy (there's parmesan on the garlic noodles, and blue cheese & butter in the fire fries), and gave us free sodas because their credit card machines were operating very slowly on a Friday night. Can't comment on cleanliness of restrooms (usually a sign of kitchen cleanliness), because I didn't use them. Service was good, friendly, and pretty prompt, although things seemed a little chaotic. I think that will smooth over with time? No qualms here about service. TL;DR: I felt the service, ambiance, cleanliness, and cooking quality were acceptable. But who designed the menu? Nothing that we ordered tasted remotely good, and I feel like my standards were pretty low for a wing joint. One-dimensional flavors. I'm a fan of the classic Bone in. And I specially ordered all flats. They charge an extra dollar for that. No worries. Not unusual. Except for the fact when I got my 8 wing combo order, half of it were drumsticks. If you're charging me extra for it, I better get what I ordered. I'll be honest, at first I didn't like this place because for one, I went during lunch time on a Monday for their boneless special and there was a long line. Second, the short white/latina employee that took my order was rude and gave attitude when I asked questions. Finally, I went with my friends and family on a Friday night and the tall Latina girl who took our order was amazing! I believe her name was Cynthia. She was super friendly, genuine, and cool! You guys need to try the Peanut Butter, Buffalo Stampede, Lemon Pepper, Thai Chili, Mango Habanero, Louisiana and Barbecue!
