I am so thankful for recently finding this great restaurant. A friend has been having me over for dinner and ordered from Spring Garden. I enjoyed the Chinese food so much I've started going to the restaurant on my own. The food is so delicious and the portions are more than filling. The staff is very friendly and the building is not modern which greatly adds to the charm of a sit-down eating experience. The restaurant is very clean and has the look of stepping back in time to a Chinese restaurant of the 70's/80's. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing, while the booths are so comfortable. The Chinese decor is very beautiful and appealing to the eyes. I've had the pleasure of ordering the Shrimp Chow Mein, Pork Friend Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pork, and the Beef Broccoli. This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in town. I like to go for the lunch special, which is also available on the weekends! It comes with your choice of main and side, an appetizer, and soup. I usually upgrade for two mains and really like the Kung Pao chicken in particular. This is not a fancy place, but the food is good, the portions excellent, and the owners are very friendly. Came with my colleague. I never been here before. There's no many Chinese restaurants here in Woodland. I have tried two out of the three and quite frankly the food here is the most tasty. Service was quick. The place is not perfect, but for the price and the amount of food. I will definitely come here again! I had the pork sweet and sour with 1/2 white rice and chow mein. They did charge an extra dollar to do the 1/2 and 1/2, but well worth it! read more

First time ordering from here and the food was absolutely delicious I was so impressed with the quality the taste and the huge portions!

We went to Spring Garden for lunch on a Sunday. We were offered our choice of tables and the waitress came right over to offer water. They have an impressive number of selections on their lunch specials menu. I ordered Chicken with black bean sauce and my husband ordered General Chicken, his go-to dish at Chinese restaurants. The lunch came with a bowl of Hot & Sour soup. The first sip of soup was off-putting. There was an underlying flavor that I couldn't identify that tasted bad. There were plenty of pieces of egg and tofu and other items in the soup, and it did have a vinegary taste to it, but neither of us enjoyed it. Then our dishes arrived. We each ordered the chow mein with our entrees. There was a massive amount of noodles. They were OK, a little salty. My dish had a lot of barely cooked carrot, green pepper and onion pieces. There was a fair amount of chicken but I didn't like the flavor of the sauce. My husband also didn't like the flavor of his General Chicken. The portion size was large and we took most home, but my husband said he may toss his. On the way out my husband used the restroom and he said it was filthy. Perhaps we should have checked it out before ordering and then gone elsewhere. I'm hoping heating up my chicken will cook the veggies and make it slightly better. Horrible dining service. Female server has a really bad attitude and very disrespectful. Took my family out to eat here with hopes of a great dinner. We arrived about 1 and 15 minutes before closing time. I even called in advance to see if they could handle a party of 8. We arrived at restaurant and female server was rushing our family to order quickly. She gave us no time to browse menu. She kept insisting that we had to finish our food before a certain time. All the employees there were talking trash about us in their language. Kept hearing the word Mexicans over and over in their vocabulary. Bad atmosphere and food was cold. The service was great and I was able to pick up my order smoothly; however, there seems to be an issue with cross contamination in the food. My friend has a severe peanut allergy and we checked the ingredients of all the dishes we ordered beforehand (egg rolls, beef with vegetables, general chicken) and "peanut" was nowhere to be seen; within 45 minutes, we were at the emergency room. He's never had issues with egg rolls from similar restaurants so there must have been peanut oil used to prep them or another dish that got mixed up with the egg rolls we got. Ordered takeout and they delivered exactly at the time they said they would. Excellent customer service! Also a bit more affordable than other Chinese places I've tried, I think we spent about $60 and we typically spend 70-80 when ordering Chinese. I highly recommend the cream cheese wontons. The pork fried rice was delicious. The orange chicken did not seem like most, it seemed a bit more like a sweet and sour chicken but was still tasty. We ordered takeout from here and chose the prawns appetizer which was delicious so I'll definitely order them again. The pork fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and thin rice noodle Singapore style was good and it was ready when we arrived. The prices aren't bad considering how expensive other Chinese food restaurants are these days. Tonight my family and I went one hour before closing, we were a party of 7 we called ahead of time and asked if it was still early to get waited on for that many people the front lady who answered the phone said yes it was fine. When we got there she started to freak out and rushing us to order kept telling the cooks in the back stuff in their language they all seemed mad. She then proceeded to take our order and told my mother in law "well your taking too long to order we close at 9 and you need to leave by 9 and you don't even know what you want!" Then leaves all rude and take a phone order instead. She was so rude it was the most disrespectful behavior and the most rude customer service we've ever received ever! NEVER COMING BACK. Rude waiter! Rushed us, said rude comments, she even hovered over my baby and repeated my ordered all rude to me saying "you wanted this rite?! Okay?! Yes?!" Like yelling super close to my child, she was super angry and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I wish I could give a zero stars. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The staff is so friendly and the food was delicious! I got so much food for under $12 with my lunch special. I'm vegetarian but I like really good food so I got the garlic broccoli with fried rice and I haven't even finished half and I'm getting so full and satisfied. I can't wait to have the leftovers! I decided to give this establishment a try since it is 0.5 miles from my employment. The location is very convenient and takes me 3 minutes to drive to the restaurant. Furthermore, there is an abundance of parking in the shopping center. I ordered take out and arrived to the restaurant in 15 minutes, which is the time my order was due for pick up. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes until my order was ready. A little dissatisfied as the wait time was cutting into my lunch hour. Since it was cold and raining, I ordered the wor wonton soup, which was so good that I finished the whole bowl. The restaurant provides a very generous amount of wontons, chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables. The broth was flavorful that additional sauces did not need to be added. Of course I added chili oil, since I prefer spice and it enhanced the flavors dramatically. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

I ordered myself the Kung pao chicken and a small wonton soup, both are delicious and very big LUNCH SPECIAL portions. This local spot used to be good, I'm not sure what happened after Covid. We were seated and the lady took our order this came with soup. Hot n sour soup was lukewarm it was 12:45? How is that not hot? Our table did not eat the soup, and when our food came the chicken tasted abnormally chewy.. not like chicken. This was gamy soggy drenched in sauce. My wife and I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Woodland since we have moved here. We came here on a Sunday and really enjoyed ourselves. We were pleased that they offered the lunch special and we ordered general chicken with chow mein and Mongolian chicken with chow mein. That day they served hot and sour soup which was good! It was hotter than hell but tasty and just tasted like any other good hot and sour soup. The food took quite a while to come out. We were very hungry so maybe it seemed longer than it was but it felt like it was 15-20 mins before our lunch specials came out. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! My Mongolian chicken was delicious. The onions were blackened and almost sweet from being tossed in the wok. The food was very fresh tasting and was bursting with flavor. My wife's general chicken was very fresh too. The fried chicken was crispy and the sauce it was tossed in was also very good. Usually when the entrees have been sitting a while and they're battered and fried they get soggy but since ours was fresh it was nice and crispy! The amount of food was generous and it definitely hit the spot. Our waitress was okay and kept our water cups filled. I live in a nursing home, so I need delivery, but I have a dilemma. Spring Garden does their own deliveries, and while I can place my order online, there's no way to submit payment information. Apparently, the delivery driver collects payment upon delivery. Since the pandemic started, the front door to the home is kept locked, so delivery drivers have to ring the bell and wait for a staff member. The staff is prohibited from taking a resident's card and paying the driver, so I find myself in a position of impasse. I tried once calling my payment in, but that was a disaster. The woman who answered the phone kept telling me my card was not working. The card was just fine because I immediately placed an order with one of their competitors with no problem. I have had food from Spring Garden before, and I really prefer it to the other Chinese restaurants in town. I have no doubt that if I could find a way to pay for it, I'd be ordering from them. So the only reason they're only getting 4 stars is because of the payment issue. read more

We love Spring Garden, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is always ready quickly and is super delicious! Some of our favorite dishes to order are Chicken with Mushroom, a sweet n Sour Pork and the Egg Food Yung is SO yummy!!! I feel like Spring Garden is underrated and it's actually one of the better Chinese Restaurants in Woodland. I am so super upset with this place right now. I have been a customer for years. Well today I placed a call for a pick up order. I ordered the same 5 items I have for years. My order used to be $35 but over the years had increased to around $45. I get it , a restaurant has to survive (By the way my last order was about 6-7 weeks ago) He man that took my order on the phone today was nice but when I asked for total he told me he will know at pick up. I didn't think anything of it because I know around the amount it should be and they might be busy right now. He than told me 10-15min, Don't take to long to get here . I thought , ok ?? But again didn't think too much of it. I showed up in 11-12 min for pick up. Again man was nice and got my order right away. Here is the issues , he said total is $60.60 . I asked excuse me , what was that total ? He said $60.60 then said I'm not the owner I just work here . I was a little shocked at the increase in a short time but it got even stranger as I handed him my card . He said There is a charge for a card , I said ok , how much ? He said "depends on your bill " WTF Now I'm a little confused , I asked what do you mean by my bill, you don't have a SET debit/credit fee like $.45 or $.60 like everyplace else ?? He said no and your fee it $1.00 -I am not owner he said again and added , They make bad choices . He was rushing me to hand over card , then to sign . He handed me my card and food then was quick to say have nice day and walk away. Great chinese restaurant in the Woodland area. They have the lunch specials promotions for $9.99 and lunch combo for $13.99 (october 2023). We choose the lunch combo where you get 2 meat. But if you dont mind with 1 meat, i would suggest to just go with the normal lunch specials since it will be around the same portion size & its not a different plate size as we were told before we order. read more
