Fire Wings is one of my favorite spots. I love it so much, I was willing to drive to Fairfield since the Vacaville joint closed recently. This is my second time at the fairfield location and I am extremely disappointed. The service is poor (no hello, or greeting for that matter.) We were ignored for several minutes while the two girls chatted up front. The wings had hardly any sauce (mango habanero is supposed to be WET not dry) as seen. Other flavors seemed to be unseasoned as well. Lemon pellet was okay. Overall it was not a great experience. We bought $40 of wings and threw out half because they weren't good. Hey y'all It's time for another installation of "Tina's tasty treats" I absolutely adore the wings at this location. I adore it more than Justin, my nephew from Travis AFB. The fire was so real and so was the security. I loved how the entrance was guarded by policemen and security officers to keep those pesky teens out. However, they did stop me cuz I looked suspiciously like a teen. *Does the Debby ryan* "Omg is he flirting w/me" said me in my head. I told the officer that I was no teen, but if he wanted to "check" me (just to be sure) I wouldn't mind. He said that I was under arrest for being too- hot for fire wings. I've tried all kinds of chicken wing restaurants including Wing Stop, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bonchon and Vons Chicken. and Fire Wings is the latest chicken place to add to my go-to chicken wing places. I first had Fire Wings back in late 2019, but at the now-closed location in Concord. The first time I tried this location was March 2020 during the start of the pandemic. The flavors are more expanded than Wing Stop. I know Wing Stop has some fusion flavors, dry rub flavors and spicy flavors, but ever since Wing Stop discontinued the teriyaki flavor, Fire Wings is now my go-to place for teriyaki flavor, but I like trying different wing flavors to expand my taste. I have been very lucky to try flavors other than teriyaki, including peanut butter (peanut butter with a little bit of spicy), Saigon street, Thai chili, dragon, garlic parmasean and Korean kick. I recommend trying the Saigon street and Thai chili flavors. Saigon Street has a real zesty taste with a hint of honey, while Thai chili is not too spicy, it's just right, meaning the perfect amount of spicy. read more

Considering I eat Fire Wings 1-2x a month, I'm completely baffled as to why I don't have any pictures in my camera roll... sorry guys! Fun fact- back before Fire Wings was a big thing, I actually went all the way to Sac just to try this chain out. It was good then too but it's been a toxic relationship for us ever since. There are so many things I love about this place, but then there are things that could really be better... it's a roller coaster ride. Strap in! Let's start with the good: Hella wing flavors! Diversity is important. We all like what we like, so I guarantee there's a flavor here for you! My personal favs are: Dragon (sweet, salty, fish saucey goodness) Lemon Pepper (a classic, but done right!) Buffalo Stampede (medium heat but the flavor is a perfect balance of butter, tangy, and spicy. In my opinion, they have the most solid hot wing flavor compared to BWW, which is too tangy, and Wingstop, which is too rich and not balanced well) Salt and pepper is a solid choice (sometimes it can be too salty though.. similar to Chinese salt and pepper, comes topped with chopped onions. I would suggest they add chopped jalapeños too for that extra OOMF). Fire brings the heat but not the flavor. If you just want a lil extra burn, go with this but if you're actually looking for some depth, go with Buffalo stampede. IT DOES NOT MISS. The Sides: If there's one side you have to get, it's the garlic noodles! It's made the Viet Asian way, and a total umami bomb in your mouth. There's hella garlic, hella flavor, and hella butter! It deadass tastes like chick fil a sauce, which is the only reason why I bother eating their fries at all. If you get anything from this review, it should be this tip right here! The Eh: The infamous peanut butter wings are kind of a cult fav but it's not for me. 1 wing is good, but after, it's super heavy and overwhelming. If you really love peanut satay, and just want all that in your mouth, this might be for you. Thai chili wings have no chili in them whatsoever lol it's literally egg roll sauce (think Mae Ploy) with the wings tossed in. I mean, it's good if you like that type of wing but nah. Saigon street is straight up fish sauce lol It's probably too fragrant for a non-Asian who may not be accustomed to that type of flavor. I feel like this one had potential but the mark was missed. It needs more heat and lime to balance the saltiness of the fish sauce dank. Korean Kick has that gochuhang flavor that's commonly associated with KFC (korean fried chicken), however there's something lacking here. Idk what it is, but I didn't care for it 5 years ago, and I still don't, today. Nashville hot sandwich is NOT it. Do not get this!!!! First of all, the disrespect that came with this sandwich was at an all time high. The chicken was teeny compared to the bun. You know how the chicken is usually busting out of the buns when you get a hot chicken sando literally anywhere else? This was not the case from Fire Wings. Bun to chicken ratio was all the way off. Secondly, the sandwich was dry as hell. The only sauce on the sandwich came from the Cole slaw (which was just okay, nothing special). The buns seemed so stale and dry, even after being buttered, toasted, and then steamed a little from sitting in the bag on the drive home lol Long story short, you will be disappointed... provided you can even get this item because it's always "Sold Out" lol Also... sometimes their wings are small as hell. Sometimes they're nice and plump. I appreciate consistency so minus a star for this. Quality control please! General info you may need: They're on Door dash for delivery or you can place a pick up order online or by calling. It's a minimum of 20-30 min for your order to be ready. This is a standard wait for wing spots however, it is annoying when you call in an order but they don't start the order until you get there and pay. Why bother calling the order in then? We've been given the wrong order a couple times, customer service isn't the best, the food doesn't always hit (cold, dry, skimpy, flavorless etc) however when it DOES hit, it REALLLLLLLLY hits lol All in all, still one of my more favorite places to visit. Located in a strip mall next to BurgerIM and T4. Upon arriving you can see a line and tons of patrons patiently waiting. Looking at the menu we decided to get the party tray which includes 40 pieces of chicken and 4 types of flavor, garlic noodles, celery/carrots, and seasoned fries. I guess I was impatient due to my tummy was growling while waiting. (20mins) When our meal arrived.. was quite worth it. Perfect crisp, flavors were robust. My faves were Peking and Dragon. Finally got to try Fire Wings the other day and I think I might've found my go to place in Fairfield FOOD I tried a ton of things Did a 20 piece combo and a couple of boneless wings Flavors + Parmesan - Solid, would say it was my 2nd favorite flavor(Equal to wingstop, better than BWW) + Dragon - Slighlty sweet but still crispy, easily my favorite + Mango Habanero - Flavors good not really spicy(BWW gets the edge of you like spicy) + Peanut Butter - It's different, You can taste the PB and a hint of spice, 3rd favorite + Korean - Sweet and spicy but the flavor is forgettable, going to pass on this on the future + Garlic Noodles - great for a fast food place + Seasoned Fries - My favorite kind of fries *Honey Mustard taste similar to Chic Fil A sauce *Ranch taste like regular ranch SERVICE As far as service, the employees were very polite, but the wait time is kinda long and that's where I think it can improve. No. Peanut Butter (3/5): Lightly flavored peanut butter although I wished there was more. But then again... You're talking to the Kare Kare queen and the one that loves peanut sauce with my spring rolls so I guess you can say I'm a bit of a peanut butter snob. Dragon (2/5): A light sweet flavor. I'm told that they could not fulfill my order even though they had just closed and that I need to talk to a manager for a refund. I call and visit the restaurant multiple times in the following week and between the counter person, the shift supervisor, the general manager, and the owner, they can't refund me. What?!? I send a message to the corporate office. I get no response. I understand that your business is primarily door dash and online orders, but you should know how to refund a transaction. What bunch of clowns. The restaurant itself is unsightly with boxes of supplies everywhere. The customer service is non-existent. I received not one "sorry for the inconvenience, let's make this right" from anyone at fire wings. All I wanted was my money back. I hope that you don't have to deal with the massive amount of ineptitude that I had to. Thankfully, I was able to file dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. Chicken wings, salads and sides...while watching sports channels on TV. Add beer in bottles or on tap, and the world can relax and enjoy the food and ambiance of this place. I attended a "soft" opening of this location...select few attended, mainly family and friends of the owners and the employees. The turnout was quite impressive. And in spite of the crowd that gathered, it seemed there was enough seating to accommodate the crowd. The grand opening is scheduled in a week's time... The food is as consistent with texture and taste as their other locations. I'm not a fan of spicy food (unless I'm at home and I can enjoy it and not be ashamed of the beads of sweat from my face from the spiciness). So my main fare has always been Salt and Pepper, Garlic Parmesan or the Peanut Butter. And they are great. The meat is still soft with a crispy outer shell, with a flavour that isn't overpowering. You can still taste chicken and not just the rub. Service is excellent! Attentive staff will take time to explain the flavor and meal options to you. If there's a line, they will open counters to accommodate the flow. The tables are regularly checked for clearing, or if there is something else customers may need. We stopped by last night (Saturday) around 9:00pm after it was recommended to us by family. Arriving at the restaurant, the parking lot was full. We were lucky to find someone leaving. We were able to get our order in at 9:05pm and was advised that it will be about 30min wait. At 9:38pm, we received our order. Despite the big crowd, they were still able to get our food in about 30min. Excellent service. We ordered the 20 piece Family Pack with Original Buffalo, Lemon Pepper and Thai Chili with 2 Ranch, a Large Fries and Celery Sticks. The Thai Chili was good. It had some sweet and a little spice. The Original Buffalo flavor was good as well. The Lemon Pepper was nothing different from others. We had our order as take-out and when we got home, the chicken were still crunchy. The 2 small ranch wasn't enough for what we ordered. For what we ordered, it needed 3 of their small containers of ranch. This seems to be the hot-spot at the moment so expect a little wait but they seem to be faster than other wings restaurants. I can only imagine the parking lot to get busier. They have T4 (Boba Drink) next door and a new burger place is opening soon. All sharing the same small parking lot. We would definitely come back to try other flavors and the Garlic Noodles.
