Over the phone Chris explained the process and helped me set the order up for the transfer and kept me posted on the status of the shipment. For a flat fee of $35 I had the rifle and ammo transferred to me. The shop is a new building stocked with a vast selection of both new and used firearms competively priced. The shop has a very welcoming feel due to the great merchandising and the knowledgeable and very helpful staff. Billy had my background check completed within a few minutes. Great products and great customer service; highly recommend. I will be getting my rifle cleaned here and will update this reveiw after.

Drive through the blue gate to the private parking lot. Once you enter, you're greeted by one of the seasoned and knowledgeable staff members. You can tell that they're used to seeing regulars, but they'll "gun talk" with you, until you're blue in the face if you want. Pricing is much fairer here than other places (see pic). I brought my own guns and ammunition to shoot, but they have a nice selection of firearms to rent if you aren't a connoisseur ;) There's ear covers and goggles (complimentary and required) if you did not bring your own. It is a pretty "tight" place, but the stalls (4/per room) are spacious enough to shoot and reload. I love the digital target screen that allows you to adjust the distance of your target (see pic). Minus the men folk using the ladies room (put the seat down plz -_- lol ). This place is very solid.

My instructor AJ was informative and a good communicator but I came away very confused by the message. She came across with a "if you come to my house unannounced, I will light you up" attitude. And told us many times that if you pull your weapon it is go time, and there needs to be no hesitation. If you think you would hesitate to shoot someone maybe a CHL is not for you. Then we got stories of people who went to jail for shooting an intruder because that intruder was unarmed and not threatening them. The message seemed to be you had better hesitate and be sure the situation is life threatening and not resolvable another way, before you fire. Also, this is not a gun safety or gun training course. We got no gun training before going to the gun range. The first shot I fired with a new pistol cut my hand as the carriage flew back to eject the cartridge. I had my left thumb over the top while bracing my right hand. I received medical treatment and was able to finish my shooting afterwards. Later in the power point presentation AJ rushed through some slides about hand injuries and how to hold a gun. Would have been nice to have seen that first.
