We have eaten at prior establishments in this location for 20 years, but Wife and I stopped in for lunch this week for first time. Large good looking restaurant but not many people there. Small 1-page menu. Wife had soup and salad Pick 2. I had the burger and fries. We were both very happy with our meals. Generous portions, fresh, tasty. Brioche bun was fresh artisanal and 3-meat double burger patty was juicy and well cooked. Fries were nicely Pre seasoned. Overall food was great. We look forward to trying again soon for dinner. I hope these kinds of locally-owned places have a successful enterprise. Their food is certainly much better than the National chains. read more

Service was really slow but there seemed to only be like 3 servers for the whole building so they were running around doing everything. We got the Cajun spinach artichoke dip and it was so good! Wasn't overly Spicy but had so much flavor! I got the smash burger with a side of Mac and cheese. Honestly the burger was odd to me cause it didn't seem like a smash burger but it still tasted good, the Pattie's were like semi smash burger but the bun was thick and extra toasted- honestly mine was a little burnt and overly crunchy but it didn't give me smash burger vibes felt more like just a regular burger, the gouda was super thick but the flavor of the burger wasn't bad just wish the bun was better. My Mac n cheese was a side but it really was the star of the show, honestly not having specialty Mac n cheese on the menu is a mistake! Many of the employees here ran a good shop at B Halls in O'Fallon. Most of the employees are new though and seem unfamiliar with working at a restaurant. . Dirty silverware, inattentive/slow service with an attitude, and overpriced food that's way too bland for the price. Service this poor may work in a dive bar in O'Fallon but it won't work for a poser restaurant in Chesterfield. If you find yourself in that shopping center, go to Vito's. I give Firefly 3 months before it closes and hope for public health that it closes sooner. read more

We came in the other night. My bf got a had a salmon sandwich with Mac n cheese as a side. The sandwich was soggy, and the salmon was a weird color. He didn't get sick or anything, but he couldn't finish eating. The Mac n cheese was cold and I guess I would describe it as crumbly. I had the basic salad, sans the cheese. It was okay, except the tomatoes were bad. Once I removed those there were few other ingredients. I would have gotten a replacement, but it had taken so long to get what we did get, so, I decided to just eat what I had. Our server was nice, but absent. I can't say that I would recommend. read more

Update on previous 5 star review. My wife and I met friends for lunch at Firefly after telling them how much we enjoyed our previous visit...very good food, service, prices, ambiance, and portion sizes! We checked the website prior to arrival and told them it appeared everything was the same as our visit about a month or so ago. What wasn't on their website menu is that their pick-two prices have increased and we were a bit surprised when our check arrived. Especially in this current erratic economy of ours, a $2 increase for this selection isn't necessarily out of reason; however, regardless of the amount of increase, updating the menu serves to alert patrons. First time here, we arrived at 1:40 since other reviews mentioned staffing issues hoping to avoid lunch rush. We should have waited until later. After waiting 20 minutes just to order our food we got up to leave still without ordering. We flagged down our server to let her know. At which point she asked us to take our order order. Our order, Plain Jane burger, very good, wedge salad dressing very thin, and watery, won't order again, chopped cheese sandwich very good but messy and macaroni and cheese very dried out on top but next layer was good. Interior of restaurant had multiple TV's all around the room playing sports. Not my idea of great ambiance. Pleasantly surprised my both my experiences at Firefly Grill. I absolutely love the toasted Parmesan they give with the Cesar salad! My husband talked about the steak sandwich for days after we went. Service was great. We sat outside on the cute patio on a nice day. Highly recommend! read more

Came here for a late lunch and we both had the salmon BLT. It is divine! Salmon wasn't too dry and this is the best bacon I've ever had. Cooked just right; crispy but not burned. Sourdough browned to perfection. My side was Mac and cheese. It could have used just a bit more cheese sauce but the flavor was great. My mom had roasted brussel sprouts with a sweet balsamic sauce. They were kind of crispy on the outside and soft on the center. Delish! Our server was Morgan and she was speedy and very nice! We had the bourbon sauce bread pudding for dessert and it was sooo naughty. A great environment, tasty fare and skiing service. We'll be back for sure! read more

Just so-so. Nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow on drinks but the food was delivered quickly. Although, quickly was possibly at the cost of hot food. I often ask servers their favorite dishes or what they think about particular menu items. When the answer is 'great' to everything or 'a favorite of customers' without any real opinion, it's frustrating. My husband ordered the hot chicken sandwich and said it was good. My salmon BLT was made with dry salmon pieces rather than an actual salmon filet. I could see the difference in the salmon filet on the salad of the gal at the next table. Mac & Cheese side was cold. Waited one hour to find out our food was not coming! Asked to chat with the manager after asking multiple times where our food was and was told it was not ready . Watched multiple tables served that were seated way after we were. Spoke with the acting manager and explained I was not returning but there is a chance my wife might. He explained our food ticket was mysteriously lost or I translated it to be our waiter never turned it in. We ate at the bar, and the service was tremendous. We had no less than three different people checking in on us. Cocktails were very good, and they had a decent selection of wine by the glass or bottle, red, and white. We did not feel rushed, and our food came out in a timely manner. Went here for dinner last night and the food was amazing. The drinks were very good too. I had a sangria and my husband had a margarita. They were top notch. Ordered the wedge salad as a starter for the blue smash burger and I couldn't get enough of it. I couldn't eat the burger I was so full. Had the burger today and I've never had a reheated burger taste so delicious. Scarfed everything down so fast I didn't take time gif pictures. Highly recommend this restaurant. It is always fun to try new restaurants with good friends. We checked out the menu before going and knew that the menu was somewhat lacking for our taste and a bit expensive. The wait staff was friendly, patient and attentive. The problem we had came from the kitchen. Our party of 4 all ordered smash burgers. The waiter explained that their smash burger was made of 3 types of beef and about the size of a soft ball. They had a nice variety of sides so between the four of us we ordered a side of asparagus, their cheese grits, mac & cheese and a nice side salad. The reason for such a low rating is these smash burgers were much smaller than described, and were overdone and dry as was the mac and cheese and asparagus. This review is more for the new owner. Your Chef is key to your success. If our experience is the norm, you may want to find an experienced Chef. read more

We tried Firefly Grill for this first time this past Friday. We arrived for happy hour and sat on the patio because it is dog-friendly and we could bring our grand-dogs! We had cocktails and appetizers from their happy hour menu, and then stayed for dinner. The food was delicious. The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly and was so tender it melted in my mouth! Others in our party ordered the salmon BLT, and the hot chicken sandwiches and were very pleased with their selection too! It was a very good first visit, and we will be back. P.S.
