I truly LOVE this place! Being from NYC I grew up eating really really good pizza. I had been craving it for a long while. So excited that I refound this pizza joint. It used to be owned by 2 NY brothers. They owned the place for over 30 years. They sold it and one brother, Angelo stayed on to train Sam how to bake. Well both Angelo as a teacher and Sam as a student did GREAT! The pizza is truly one of the best in South Florida. Sam's daughter has been our waitress and she is sweet, kind and attentive. The ambiance is cosy and comfortable. Prices are reasonable and you definitely will not be disappointed. Give them a try! read more

I've been wanting to try their pizza and finally got the chance. We ordered the XL Margherita Pizza, a Personal Pizza - Cheese and Dozen Garlic Rolls. There was a little wait beyond the time we were quoted but they explained that the pizzaiolo started making a large pizza when he realized we ordered XL and had to remake it. There was a party of 3 and a solo diner dining in with a couple of people walking in for take out orders. While I was waiting, the party of 3 each got a small plate of garlic rolls and a small salad which looked appetizing. Our order was completed and was brought out to us with an apology for the delay. It smelled so good in the car on the way home! The XL Margherita Pizza box was so large, I had to tilt it a little just to get it in the front seat of my car. In hindsight I should have put it in the back of my SUV. When I opened the box at home, the cheese had run a little to one side. No fault of the restaurant. The crust on the Margherita Pizza was amazing! You could see the layers when you bit into it. It was very crispy. The garlic rolls were garlicky (in a good way) but a little dry. I'm not sure if they can make them saucy but will ask the next time we place an order. My husband had some of the Personal Pizza which, by the way, was almost the size of a small pizza! He said it was also very good. I'm glad we tried this and will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

This place was such a pleasant surprise! Hands down, one of the best Italian spots I've visited locally. We ended up at Firefly when our usual Italian restaurant was closed, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, and we loved being able to pick our own table. The atmosphere is cozy and has that authentic homestyle Italian feel. We had the lasagna and chicken marsala, both of which were amazing. The meals came with freshly baked bread (crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with delicious garlic butter) and a choice of soup or salad -- the minestrone was packed with flavor! You can really taste that everything is made from scratch, and the portions are generous. If you're craving classic Italian food that's comforting and delicious, definitely give Firefly a try. Stopped in on Mother's Day, as I had eaten here before the new ownership & always loved their pizza. I had since moved out of state but my mom is still in town and told me she's been since new ownership & remains a place she recommends. Prices are fair & the pizza is still yummy; we got a large pie half pepperoni half cheese. The customer service was great, the young gentleman that waited on our table was polite, and I think he is the owner, seemed pleasant when taking away our plates & bringing boxes out. Even the clients that I observed coming in to either dine in or pick up were super pleasant; I was like am I still in Florida LOL! read more

Decided to try a new place on Superbowl Sunday. Was further than my usual place but reviews persuaded me. The food was actually good but unfortunately, the first time experience was a bit aggravating. I placed an online order for 6:15 pick up 70mins in advance. Arrived at 6:13 to store with several customers waiting on their orders. I was told order was not ready and they were behind. Watched as another customer placed an order and was told 40min wait. Heard worker explain the reason for delays on online orders was that their POS Toast does not notify them of the order until 10min prior to pick up time and that they cannot control the wait time displayed online. Didn't really like hearing that "excuse" as it sounded more like user error. Finally, received my order at 6:57. While waiting, the same guy at the front asked me what order I was waiting on twice, so I didn't feel confident he knew what he was doing or if they even had my order. After like 30 minutes, a manager (perhaps) noticed I've been there for a while and started looking into it. Me and another woman were literally the last two orders. He apologized for the wait and offered us a can of soda each. Would have rathered my food on time but acknowledged and appreciated the gesture. As for the food, we got a pepperoni and a white pizza. It was not as thin as I expected for a NY style pie but baked well. The white has a lot of ricotta (?). Mixed feelings about the blobs because they were kind of bland but also balanced out the grease. Pricing was decent. Would be willing to go back at a a later date to give it another go if I was in the neighborhood. read more

We stopped here after our cruise as we were staying in the area and after visiting the flamingo refuge nearby we needed something to eat. The establishment is rather small but has a lot to offer with great customer service and excellent pizza. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, my wife, kids, and myself all agreed it may have been one of our favorite pizza experiences on this vacation. Highly recommend their food! read more

We are so happy to have picked this spot for dinner tonight. My son really wanted spaghetti so I started to look at Italian spots near our house. We noticed Firefly opened recently and decided to give it a try. Everything was delicious!!!! My son loved the spaghetti so much. He asked me to bring him 100 more times. We also tried the meatballs... outstanding flavor!!! My husband ordered the chicken wings, a slice of cheese pizza and Alfredo pasta. I tried a bit of it all as well. Everything had amazing taste. This spot, formerly known as Alfredo's, has a charm all its own once you walk through the door. The staff were extremely friendly as well. They still boast the same pizza from Alfredo's, but I personally feel the crust wasn't quite right (maybe a tad too thick). Their prices are also still reminiscent of Alfredo's, as they offer an 18" pizza at $18, and several family meal deals. They offered me a homemade watermelon mint refresher sample, which was delicious. I just love the interior overhaul this place received under new ownership - it could be a great little date night spot now. read more

Firefly is a hidden gem in Cooper City at the South end of the Walmart Plaza on Griffin and Flamingo road. We had minestrone soup, excellent flavor and spices with chunky veggies. The garlic rolls were soft and fresh. We tried chicken wing appetizer 1/2 with Buffalo and Firefly Sweet Chili sauce . Excellent! Then a meat lasagne and eggplant rigatoni for the main course. Both incredibly tasty fresh ingredients! We took 1/2 home. Can't wait to have later!
