Quinoa bowl with two sunny side up eggs

Service - A+ (friendly, fast, welcoming, food comes out quickly) Food - we have only come here for breakfast several times. I want to come for lunch as the menu looks amazing. Scrambled eggs with ham - with a side of tomatoes. Delicious. Quinoa bowl with two eggs over medium - comes with potatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, avocado, quinoa, shredded cheese. You have the option of bacon or ham - I always choose diced ham. This is my absolutely favorite item on the menu. All their drinks were fantastic - black coffee (strong), vanilla latte (great) served in a Christmas mug (fun!), hot chocolate (great), hot honey ginger tea (very very yummy). The toast is served slathered in butter and with a tiny side of grape jelly. The grape jelly is AMAZING. I could eat an entire vat of that jelly by itself!!!! Highly recommend this place - it's off the beaten path restaurant. It's located on the corner/street side of Cerritos nestled within a small business park.

Cute lil hole in the wall. Seems like a local spot. Casual dining, attentive staff, fast service. A place where the usuals come serving the community and service folk. Very huge portions, shouldn't leave hungry. Good prices during these times. Mom n pop spot.

Ortega Melt w/ fries. Keepin' it simple. :)

Hidden place, cute atmosphere stopped in on a whim. First off, great service as I came in close to closing but they would not let me leave and happily served me with a smile (I try really hard not to be that person coming in right at closing). The breakfast options look great so I'll need to return with the fam some morning. Ordered an Ortega Melt as that one of my lunch staples, on point. :)

Great breakfast spot with very friendly staff. My omelet was cooked to perfection and my hash-browns were nice and crisp. I like the fact food is unsalted to allow me to salt at my own risk. I did not get the young ladies name who was my server but she was a sweetheart. Great atmosphere with staff greeting anyone walking in.

It was a hot day and it was hot in the restaurant. Would definitely suggest turning the AC up. Temp aside, Jose provided the best service. So friendly and kind. Making sure we always had what we needed. I was really craving a traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast and a side of pancakes. The food did not disappoint. Everything cooked perfectly. Hubby enjoyed his omelette as well. The OJ was refreshing and coffee was really good. We got a slice of banana pie and a cinnamon roll to go and they were both so good. They're now using an AI chat bot to take orders over the phone…read more I know I already posted a negative review here a few months ago, and just got what looks like another robotic type of response from the so-called business manager who offered to further assist. Contacted them directly has requested, but never received a response. Tonight's family decision to order once again was a bit hesitant, but we decided to try again as with the majority of my household just did not feel like going out to eat in person. I was a bit taken aback by the robotic assistant taking the order over the phone. But with patience and proper instruction from the order taker, it seemed as though everything was good. It even read back the order to me to make sure everything is correct, as I did have to correct it once before completing the order. I also received a confirmation of the order via text after receiving a link to pay online through a Yelp service here. Unfortunately it happened again. We got home and found that one of the items was incorrect, and one item had something that should have had a standard addition to it but it did not. In particular it was a French dip sandwich that was served without the au jus sauce. There was no indication over the phone that I would have had to confirm that I wanted au jus as it is standard with the item. The other item that was wrong ended up coming as an appetizer rather than a dinner. Even though we did try to consume the items, they just weren't satisfactory and it was difficult to eat the sandwich without the au jus. I've already contacted the restaurant directly, pretty much only being able to send a message through the website as there is no one answering the phone directly by a human being. We'll see if I actually get a response this time, not just the automated response from the business manager here on Yelp. We've never really had an issue dining in, but sometimes my family just doesn't feel up to going out as we have two senior citizens in the home who would rather stay in in order of food sometimes. Clearly now that this has happened yet again, we are just going to refrain from ordering over the phone or through the website.

Lots of outdoor bistro style tables and indoor booths, tables that can accommodate larger groups. Our waitress seemed to be either overly stretched or forgetful for a morning service. But eventually would remember and bring what we needed. I was enjoying a long brunch so I wasn't too bothered , but if you are on a strict schedule it might be an issue. This is a pretty large space after all, I think its maximum capacity is 80 or more. Two separate cold cases for desserts and deli items like olives, salads, plus a stand for more Italian style foods. The even bigger bakery side has so many fresh pastry options, bagels and breads. I really enjoy the bagel chips made in house. Comes in Parmesan, garlic or cinnamon sugar. Recommend the lox or smoked salmon plate or scrambled with eggs. Spinach mushroom omelette is huge and really enough for two people to share. Dinner options include matzo ball soup, chicken in a pot (savory and rich chicken soup with noodles and vegetables). Hamburgers also quite good, you can customize your way. Meatloaf and fried chicken dinner are equally delicious. My other go to is the turkey dinner - because I can't be baking a whole turkey for myself! Tender turkey smothered in gravy, comes with smooth mashed potatoes. Good comfort food all around.

It's my absolute favorite breakfast burrito in the area. I get it with eggs over medium- comes with chorizo, potatoes, cheese and bacon. Great portion, amazing texture and the flavor is on point from start to finish. You can actually taste each component instead of everything turning into one salty breakfast blob. Every bite has something going on in the best way. Seasoned perfectly. Chef's kiss. The homemade salsa is fire too. Spicy, flavorful and exactly what the burrito needs. It cuts through the richness, wakes everything up and makes the whole thing even better. Dangerous stuff honestly, because now the burrito feels incomplete without it. I believe they got a mild and hot. Fries were bomb too. I ask for extra seasoning and they come through. The ketchup was also weirdly good, chilled and delicious. Could be Heinz, could be homemade, could be magic. Either way, I want more of it. The vibe's chill and down to earth. The people here are genuinely great imo. Friendly, easygoing and consistent every time I've stopped by. You place your order, they give you a ticket and you pay when it's ready. They also have a fun drink selection, including Calypso drinks and Stewart's root beer in cans and glass bottles. I respect a deli that gives the drink fridge some effort. There's seating when you walk in and more seating in the back area of the deli. Parking can be hit or miss and the spot is easy to pass by, but that breakfast burrito is worth circling the plaza for. I've done it. I'll do it again. Easy recommendation, the consistency of their food and service is on another level. I'm excited for my next haircut.

The Tonkatsu was the sole dish we shared, and we both agreed it was delicious! I've had this dish at other places and more often than not, it is usually greasy since it's fried. This was not the case. I don't even think they use panko breadcrumbs. I'm guessing they use corn flakes, but it WORKS and gives the perfect crisp to the protein! The salad and rice were also a good portion to share if you're not starving. The restaurant is very casual and has a laid back vibe.
