Small little dine in restaurant; cute and cozy. We ordered to go and there was a seating area to wait in. Banana Cloud iced latte- a sweet, delicious and creamy drink! Once the cold foam melts with the coffee, you really get that banana taste. Swirls of cinnamon and subtle maple taste. Wish the cold foam was a little thicker in consistency. French toast with berries and cream- comes with condensed milk, syrup and butter. The condiments make the French toast. Without the dressings, the bread is a little plain. The bread is soft and fluffy inside. The edges have a little caramelized sugar. Love the thick cut of the bread. Breakfast sandwich- Good average sandwich. It was good but nothing special about it. Would've preferred it came with cheese. Would come back for the coffee and SUPER friendly staff! A little pricey ($30- 1 coffee, half order of French toast and breakfast sandwich).

Second visit and breakfast did not disappoint! We both had the French toast combos he had tots and sausage and I went with the extra crispy home fries and bacon. Yummmmmmmmmmmm. The home fries enjoyed the coffee today too!!

Stopped by for a couple lattes before I started my day. Decided on the cookie butter latte and banana cloud matcha (although I ordered the banana latte, but the matcha came out - all good, though). Both were reshreshing and delicious, but I preferred the matcha more. They were fairly busy in the dining area and seemed a little backed up with drinks when I ordered, but my drinks were still ready in no time.

You walk up to the counter and order and then if you are dining in you will get a number and you go find yourself a table. I recommend you grab a menu and know your order before you get to the register. Breakfast burrito was average 5/10. I got asada and I think it was sitting around. Had that un fresh taste and texture. Salsa can not be added and will be on the side. French toast were yummy 10/10. I'd come back for that reason alone. Banana Pudding Matcha was good 8/10. Horchata Latte iced was a 5/10z. Not bad but nothing memorable either. Tater tots were nice and crunchy. Would've like it if some were not all deep fried. A 6/10 tho. Service was good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good dining experience. They have an arcade game in the corner.ambiance - it was a little on the dim side but not bleak.

Cute cafe in a strip mall. Order the AM burger with home fries. The burger had a good sized patty and the egg was perfectly over med. When you bit the burger, the yoke was soft but not runny. Good seasoning. The bacon was that nice thick bacon where you actually taste it. Home fries were delicious too The matcha lattes hit the spot. I ordered the banana matcha with oat milk. The taste was really good and banana flavored but over powering. The matchata was matcha mixed with horchata which my dtr enjoyed. You can taste the cinnamon in it Overall, a bit pricey but might return. I just wish the burger came with a side and not as an extra charge.

This place was OK, we decided to check it out, my friend had seen it and wanted to see what was going on. The inside is very plain. The food was OK, the breakfast sandwich had way too much sauce on it and overpowered the sandwich. The banana coffee was very disappointing. Not much taste, and the only slight banana flavor was the whip on the top. The best part about the mule was probably the strawberry French toast that we had.

This is a little more than 1 week old review. In term of food and drink, I would give this a 3.5 stars, but the cashier was really nice so it round up to 4. At this place, you ordered at the counter first then choose an option to dine in or togo. We opt for dine in as they have a huge area for dine in. Very minimal decor, but they have like an arcade game at a corner. We ordered a sandwich and the breakfast taco. The sandwich is huge but mainly filled with spinach. The breakfast taco was delicious in term of flavor although the meat was a little chewy. Drink was average. The banana matcha has strong matcha but lack of banana. The other drink was supposed to be the recommendation but it was ok with too much cinnamon. Overall, a good place for family breakfast as it has variety of selection to choose.

Looking for your next brunch spot? Strange Brews Cafe in Buena Park is serving up retro vibes and seriously delicious food! The Mapple latte, cookie latte, and matcha latte are fan favorites if you love sweeter specialty drinks. Pair them with a stuffed waffle, smash burger, wrap, tacos, or a hearty omelet for the perfect meal. The groovy atmosphere makes it a great place to hang out--just expect a crowd during weekend brunch!

Was super excited to come again, but the food was okay and my fries ended up being papas. I wish the papas were crunchy, and they felt like they needed to be cooked more. I wish they didn't change the decoration inside!! It's so bland now and just feels like a regular coffee shop. Before it was so colorful and decorated. Even the menu wasn't cute anymore :( it used to have cool/cute names for the food and drink items

    Breakfast tacos are good

Cute place. Small ish and not decorated the cutest, it's simple, but they had no wait which is what we were looking for. You order at the front and they bring you your food. Banana cream latte - very good but very sweet!! I had to add so much ice just to drink it. Breakfast tacos - really yummy! Came with two salsas , neither of which very flavorful or spicy but still added a needed sauce. French toast - moist but nothing special. Really went here hoping to try their huge stuffed French toast from the previous photos but I guess they dont have that anymore :(

Stopped by one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. This place is tucked away in a plaza and definitely feels like one of those hidden gem spots you wouldn't expect until you walk inside. The space itself is very open and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We ended up trying the Breakfast Tacos, Chilaquiles, and two coffees; the Banana Cloud and Maple Matt. First off, the coffees were incredible. Easily the highlight of the visit. Both drinks were super flavorful and well balanced. Definitely worth ordering if you're coming here. The food was also really good overall. The portions were generous and everything had great flavor. My only small note would be the chilaquiles, I personally prefer them a little crunchier, and these leaned slightly on the softer side because of the sauce. Still very tasty, just something to keep in mind if you're big on texture like I am. The breakfast tacos were great and definitely hit the spot. Overall this is a great place to stop by if you're in the area and want a solid breakfast bite with some excellent coffee!

Prior location of the sunrise cafe. They said they have been open for about 6 months and we decided to try it out. Get the chilaquiles, we got it with carne asada and half red and half green salsa. The chips were crispy and the meat portions generous. We also ordered the sausage omelette with home fries and also the portion of sausage was also generous. The ice coffee with blueberry cold foam was also top notch . We legit cleared out plates and were debating if we could eat another order of the chilaquiles Service was also good and everyone seemed friendly. We made a good choice and will definitely be coming back.

The food is inconsistant. One day the eggs/bacon are over cooked the next they're undercooked.

When I bit into them, I could actually taste and feel the fibrous banana strings, which made the drink less enjoyable. The banana syrup could be improved by using fully ripe bananas and taking the extra time to remove the fibrous strings before making the syrup. While it does require more preparation, it would make a noticeable difference. Ripe bananas are naturally sweeter, and removing the strings would eliminate much of the bitterness while creating a smoother, creamier syrup and cold foam. I also ordered the regular Matcha Latte, and personally, I found it more enjoyable than the Banana Matcha. That said, my all-time favorite drink here is still the Butter Honey Latte. It's incredibly creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I highly recommend giving that one a try!

But when the lowest suggested tip starts above and beyond a "normal" amount, it feels less like a suggestion and more like pressure. If you ever signed up for their rewards program before downloading the app, they import your points from your phone number account :). My only mild complaint is that the timed order- for-later request did not seem to make too big a difference, as my drink was probably ready 25 minutes early. Better early than late, though! Staff were friendly and informative as always. Shop had a few customers seated inside and outside, so there was plenty of room to study or sit a while. It was a bit cold for me, so probably a good place if you want some strong AC. Music seemed like a millenial-pleasing alternative-y mix: good for nondistracting background sound. Honey Bori Latte is one of my favorite seasonals anywhere! Loved it as intended at full sweetness (not too sweet) and still loved it at less sweet (recommend if enjoying with a bread or pastry imo). I like most specialty barley drinks. Default is dairy, so I assume there would still be some even if made with oat milk ($1 extra). I love the crunchy wheat snack topping, and it kind of reminds me of the cocoa puff topping in that black caf latte in Dland/Galaxy's edge. Will be back!

Yet recently I've been coming and truly haven't been enjoying it the same. I used to come and study or work as I enjoyed their drinks and baked goods. The environment is usually buzzing with more people working or studying or groups of people talking. Their pastries are always good and yummy which is a BIG hit. Yet I am a big coffee person, the quality of the coffees and drinks have gone down hill a lot. I would always order the Campfire latte or the Smoking Spaniard latte (when it still had cardamom in it) and would LOVE it. But now when I order drinks, most of them aren't very good or are missing flavors. The Smoking Spaniard is still yummy yet it used to be sooo much better back in the day, now it taste more like a regular spanish latte. I always see the new seasonal drinks and menu and get so excited to try them just incase I find a new favorite. Most of them have been a miss sadly :( The fruit lattes and drinks from their seasonal menu usually has actual chunks of fruit in it which makes it hard to drink and you have to chew while drinking a latte ;( not my fave. I went in yesterday to try their summer '26 seasonal drinks which is Yakult! I was sooo excited. A blueberry Yakult matcha latte! yummy! I got there, got a new earl grey lemon loaf from the bakery, got my blueberry Yakult matcha latte and sat down to try. Sadly, it didn't hit... the blueberries are still super chunky so I had to use 2 different straws because my first one got stuck with blueberries in it. The Yakult foam was really good but the blueberries weren't :( I HIGHLY recommend when making fruit syrups for coffee, boil down the fruit and blend it or strain out the big pieces. I sadly have stopped really coming to Smoking Tiger so often because I haven't been impressed and other coffee shops have been popping up that has better quality now :( Smoking Tiger has been focusing more on quantity of stores rather than quality of their food and drinks.

We were also there with a baby who needed to go down for a nap, which made the long, unexpected delay even more difficult. On top of that, they had already run out of matcha and the menu was extremely limited, which was disappointing considering that's one of the main draws of a place like this. Overall, poor communication and lack of transparency really ruined the experience. I understand delays happen, but being upfront and managing expectations would have made a huge difference.
