A good go to place. The chicken wings are good and the sauces were tasty. They let us try all the different sauces which was very nice. There's a huge beer selection. I opted for Rhinegiest Cider. Sorry, but I am not a fan. I came here recently for a friend's goodbye dinner. There were ten of us in all. It was a Saturday night at 6pm, and they weren't that busy. The server was fine, just didn't seem that professional. Her service was average, okay, nothing special. I ordered an IPA, and it was fine. Drank about half and then switched to their house cosmo. It was not that great :o( , a bit watered down. Our dinners took forever to come out. Perhaps because there were ten of us? Still, they weren't that busy, so no excuse! I ordered the salmon roulade. It was rolled with basil pesto atop a risotto cake with a tomato relish. There was sautéed asparagus on the side, and I asked for the butter sauce to come on the side. The best parts were the asparagus and risotto cake. The asparagus were done just right, slightly crispy. The risotto cake was nice and flavorful also. The salmon was overdone. I do like mine on the rarer side, but this was a bit dry. So sad. Overall, a "meh" experience. read more

Had lunch at the Firehouse Grill. The building is attractive both inside and out. Ordered the "new" fish tacos. Very small and should be aptly called tacoettes. Supposedly mahi mahi. Bland and dry. Probably frozen and microwaved as they arrived within five minutes of ordering. Unimpressed. I am a little past fifty so the dance club/strip club music wasn't at all appropriate for someone that doesn't use the new vocabulary that includes kiddy words like woke and hundo. Seemed like more of a "high energy" nightclub setting. I think this establishment belongs to the Gen-X and millennial crowd. read more

I am a firm believer in both good and bad reviews. That's the only way to fix or make the things we like better. I want to share with you an unusual circumstance. I have allergies. I usually try to bring food where ever I go, but sometimes I want to feel normal too. I am in Blue Ash this evening because I am going to Hamilton in the morning to take an all day glass class that was my Christmas present. I LOVE Blue Ash so I decided to come a day early and enjoy what I LOVE. This evening, you all got snow! So I went for my safe place, Bravo. They know me and my allergies and will make accommodations for me. However, in preparation of a HUGE weekend, they marinated all the Salmon. I appreciate they were honest. The bartender felt bad and went out of his way and called a place he knows and trusts, Firehouse Grill in Blue Ash. I told him I knew of this place because it's by my Hyatt that I always stay at. He called and made arrangements for me through Troy. They even called me "the Salmon -Lady..." :) I went there knowing I didn't have my Epi-Pen, but trusted Bravo. The hostess greeted me kindly and i joked with her that I was the Salmon Lady. Right then Troy walked by and said, "Are you the Salmon Lady?" He was extremely kind. I sat at the bar as I do everywhere I go. (feels like home) and the Bartenders were kind but one was very kind to me. I cant name him because the receipt has "Bar P" and he didnt say his name. However, KUDOS to the Chef, Troy and my un-named bartender (not the beardered guy (Matt?)...you all made my evening and made me feel safe to eat and not end up in an ER!! This was the worst experience ever. The restaurant took one hour and 40 minutes to bring the food out. Even then they never apologized and explained what the delays were. It was my father-in-law's birthday and he was so looking forward to a great meal at a place that he has enjoyed before. However not only the cooks or the managers but the waitress the entire experience ruined the night. Even when the food did come out it was cold and not to the way with that we ordered it. You would think you could come to a sports bar to watch sports, however I would recommend not coming on any night where they show sports because they won't be able to handle the business. read more

I've eaten here several times but this time the menu has changed. The first menu was much better. I eventually settled on the street tacos. They were supposed to be short rib tacos but the meat looked something like shredded beef from a can or something. Not what I expected. I thought that I would try a new restaurant because i saw this in passing. I decided to get the pick 2 of the blackfire chicken wrap which contained jalapeno cheddar tortilla, cajun chicken, caramelized onion, chipotle mayonnaise, monterey jack, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomato and the mac n cheese. Seeing that I am a cheese connoisseur, I wasnt impressed with this dish. It seemed cheesy but did not taste like it. It had baked bread crumbs on top but no flavor, overall it was bland. I was kinda excited about the wrap but unfortunately, it was cold and the chicken 's seasoning was very salty. So it overpowered everything else. Went last night, woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning after finding uncooked areas in my burger which I ordered medium-well. We were sitting outside so that may have contributed to the service which was extremely slow. By the time the waitress came it was too late to even send the burger back since my fiancé had already finished his meal. She cleared the plates then proceeded to take 14 minutes(yes, after the first few minutes I started timing it) to bring our check. We're from out of town but this place was local and close to our hotel so we always try to check out local spots if possible. Pizza was alright (but we're from Chicago so our pizza standard is a bit ridiculous). Beer selection was decent, unless you want stouts, they only had two. But the service was quick and friendly. I was excited to see a new bar restaurant going into the old Watson's location. But, by first visit was a disappointment. I thought the prices were quite high for the beer and an average hamburger. The draft beer tasted flat. The atmosphere didn't feel cozy -- probably because of the huge size, sparse furnishings and bland decor. Though, the bar is nice looking. The waiter was friendly. The service and atmosphere were outstanding, Aimee was professional, and helpful, and even the rain couldn't spoil the outdoor seating. The food though, was sub par: from the lack of variety on the menu, to the poor execution of a simple steak that was not even close to properly trimmed of fat. If you are staying at the Courtyard, it is barely worth the walk. Honestly, go for drinks, but eat elsewhere until they get their act together. We arrived around 8:00 Friday night and were seated at a regular table in the back since we had our 3 year old with us. It hopping in the front of the restaurant but not packed. There were a few other parties in the back section and plenty of other people on the patio out back. The hostess was quick to bring out a booster seat that was very clean. My husband and I were looking forward to eating at Firehouse since this was the first time we had eaten there since the pandemic started. Our enthusiasm quickly went away when we experienced 20 minutes of multiple staff members walking by our table without any sort of acknowledgement of our presence. No one asked to take our drink order or to even say that our theoretical server will be with us in a minute. The other parties in the section with us had been seen by their waitstaff while we were waiting, and the folks on the patio were being waited on as well. We have experienced this type of service at Firehouse before (pre-COVID), but never more than 10 minutes waiting for our server, and the food made up for the initial lack of service. We finally walked out since our 3 year old was getting antsy. Walking past the hostess stand, the same hostess who seated us 20 minutes prior thanked us for coming and asked how our meal was. We did tell her that no one waited on us for the 20 minutes we were there. She had a shocked expression on her face as we walked out the door. Firehouse has lost our business for good. read more

Just at here last night and we will never return. Took 13 minutes before we were even greeted after being seated outdoors. Waitress finally asked, quite annoyed, " have you been helped?" We we're waiting on friends and there to hear a band, so not in a super rush, but still it wasn't a friendly experience. The fried pickle appetizer arrived after a bit of a wait, and was ok, but that was the only thing good. My daughter and I both got burgers but they had no toppings on them when I specifically asked for toppings. Also, our food was cold! My friend got hot wings and they were ice cold to the touch. His wife, who is a vegetarian ordered a salad without chicken and it came with the chicken on it; then when they " fixed it" they simply removed the chicken and returned with the same salad, still with chicken bits on it. Seriously offensive to a vegetarian. My friends ended up getting the salad comped and a free order of wings to take home, but not once did a manager address any of the issues at our table, offer any sort of compensation or even apologize for the inconvenience. The best thing we had was the key lime pie for dessert. My 10 year old remarked she would have rather went to McDonalds. Again, only there to hear a band, and we won't be going back. read more

We hosted an event for 60 family members here, a rehearsal dinner, on a Friday evening. The banquet menu was in a state of flux between the time that we reserved the room (in January) and the late May event. This didn't affect our plans, as the event coordinator Lindsey was very easy to work with and the chef was flexible with making some minor substitutions to the offerings. Lindsey was also knowledgeable about portion sizes needed for groups and this was helpful. The wait staff were helpful and available for our needs. We were given two waiters for our event and that was plenty given that we had a buffet set-up. Can't argue with the beverage selection here, although their niche is obviously beer vs. wine. Food was very tasty, fruit tray was exotic looking and nicely presented. There were several good choices for the vegetarians on their banquet menu. The "Wildfire Room" is off to the side of the restaurant, with one wall of windows with an open view (blinds on windows if needed); felt nicely set apart from the main restaurant (doors could close for quiet) but also close enough to "the action", bar, tvs, restrooms. One item that could stand improvement is table decor. The tables were set with real flatware/cutlery/cloth table linens, but the centerpieces which were available were extremely tired out. From a customer's standpoint I would have been better off to bring my own; Firehouse: those need to be REPLACED! All in all I believe Firehouse has a good thing going and just needs to continue to keep an eye to quality and they will succeed in further developing their banquet offerings. I don't live in the area and so haven't had the opportunity to try them as a restaurant but the casual environment was what I would enjoy for a Friday evening meal. read more

I called to get this corrected and was told that the girl who took our order was gone so they had to talk to management.
