How the hell does this place have 4.5 stars?!?!?!? My husband and I wanted to try this place out so we ordered two plates. I got the tritip plate with mashed potatoes and spicey creamed corn. My tri tip was dry and SALTY omg so salty.... the mashed potatoes weren't even mashed they were like country potatoes that you'd have for breakfast? What? They TASTED like breakfast potatoes loaded with dill so gross! Not to mention they were extremely greasy.... moving on to the creamed corn this was just an absolute joke... old canned corn with milk and some cayenne pepper. It was just like warm soup that was tasteless and spicy all you could taste was canned corn that's it it was watery like soup it was really unappetizing and gross.... the cole slaw is not traditional so don't expect that to be decent either it was very flat and just overall none appetizing... the Mac and cheese tasted decent but it was really oily or grease idk just seemed like the cheese separated and it was pretty old... regardless we're totally over it wasted our money thinking we were going to have a good meal and just came home with a bag of disappointment. Im SO bummed. Weve have received take out from firehouse so many times with nothing but great feedback but this time was different. We ordered a pound of brisket,two hot links, large garlic mash potatoes, and large creamed corn. A pound of brisket is 25ish dollars so I expect to receive exactly what we pay for. The whole meal came out to 65 dollars and normally we have enough for a whole second meal. When we opened the brikset we found three small peices of brisket, definetly NOT a pound, the sausage was lacking flavor. The corn was spicer than normal but you couldnt taste anything else including the corn itself. The only thing that held its normal glory was the potatoes. Really felt like a huge waste of money.. and thats not a great feeling. read more

Don't wanna' say how great this place is because I want it to be my little secret but I just have to! Small group of us on motorcycles got there a little too early before they were open. Hoping they'd let us hang out in their outside patio we were welcomed inside and greeted by the sweetest bubbliest waitress on earth. Then the bbq master greeted us and explained in great detail all the different delicious meats he was preparing. Food was fantastic and you just can't ask for better friendlier service. I commented on the chicken on this company's Facebook page and they threatened to sue me over the comment. I argued that this is America and we have a freedom of speech in our constitution and we as Americans will exercise our constitutional rights. Then they changed there review columns to public which is fine if you don't bad reviews do not ask for any at all. You can not just treat someone bad for there opinion. One of my all time favorite workers would have to be Ivan Martinez, he had a very happy soul and my made my family and I feel welcome, thank you Ivan. Unfortunately, now we think we understand why they do not operate full hours-not enough customers, maybe. Ambiance, cleanliness, polite/friendly staff all 5 stars , but the food quality did not match the look/feel of restaurant. We ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad 1. Greens had black-gooey-rot. Obviously not fresh, most likely from a container and past it's time. Picture included. Wontons very stale and wax box/package flavor. Assuming they came from a box from warehouse that sold the black rotten greens. Dressing, was poured on thick, which made for a heavy / syrupy salad. Cabbage was dry and at the end of its cycle, you know when it gets those black dots on the white part of red cabbage. Chicken strips bland and maybe 1 1/2 ounces (for a $20 plus salad from a bag of rotten greens) . I kept looking for the chicken. 2. Scrambled eggs, sourdough, black beans and a side of Ham Steak. Eggs not fresh, maybe a carton - liquid eggs, black beans were actually a combo of red/brown/black - not the black bean flavor we were expecting or what menu stated . But, out of the entire breakfast they were the only decent thing. Ham Steak- NOT a Ham Steak just a slice of ham from supermarket -thin-and very processed -cheap quality. Sourdough bread was also the lowest quality sourdough you would find at a discount grocer. To summarize, the ingredients, produce and proteins are of the lowest quality. Bland, spoiled, packaged/processed food. Price for each dish was $20+ AND if you use a credit card you get a 3% surcharge. My husbands final words while dinning, "this place reminds me of one of those restaurants in those rehab shows- where the chef spits the food out because it's so bad" Like I said, it's a shame because the restaurant gives off a good vibe. They gotta work on the food quality and maybe they will get more customers and be able to open normal hours. Definitely will not be coming back
