I recently discovered this place and I absolutely love it! It is so much better than subway!!! The turkey bacon ranch is my favorite! I highly recommend it. Also if you get a sandwich and you don't enjoy it, they will make you something different. They are always super friendly there and seem to have a great time at work. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 was because the last few times the bathroom has been a little on the dirty side. They really need to pay attention to the small details such as the light switch plate, base of toilet and the the walls. read more

"Welcome to Firehouse!" I've always enjoyed Firehouse Subs, but rarely have the chance to go as there isn't one around my house or work. So I was so excited when I saw a "Coming Soon" banner last week in place of where the old Mr. Goodcents Subs used to be. The food is always great, and the hot sauce selection divine, but I'd like mostly to review the amazing customer service I received today. Today, I brought my mom to Firehouse so that we could pick up some subs for the whole family for lunch. She recently injured her knee, and needed to lean on me for support as she limped to the door. One of the employees (who seemed perhaps to be a manager?) noticed us walking up from the parking lot, and opened the door well before we got to it. After perusing the menu and ordering 5 subs, we sat while waiting for our order. Despite it being a busy lunch hour, the food was quickly ready, and two bags of subs were ready to go out the door. This same man offered to carry our food out to the car with us so that my hands were free as I helped my mom to and in the car. I was blown away by his sweet and sincere offer, and he was such a big help. This location gets an unequivocal five stars from me for the phenomenal customer service we received today. OH. MY. GOD. Firehouse is delicious! A friend introduced me to it (something I was wary one because I was pretty much over Jimmy Johns and Subway) but it was so worth it! I'm absolutely addicted! The service is great every time I go in, the employees greet me cheerfully, and the sandwiches are superb! Always fill me up! Walked into the store off of 79th and Wadsworth and all of the employees were very unprofessional. We waited 30 minutes for 2 Small suns and were told they were slammed while there was only 1 person ahead of us, for a dinner rush it was very slow (I've worked at restaurants before). Only one female teenager was working, while the other 3 girls were talking to their friends that had came in. Was not a good experience. read more

This place was Hoping at lunch time but the staff handled it like pros! Greeted every customer that walked through the door and even gave reccomendations on the many hot sauces available. Large displays of the available sandwhiches and listening to the staff behind the register they really knew their stuff! Awesome Fire Fighter decor with a huge Mural of Engine 5 (i think or it could have been 3) from Arvada Fire dept. The place was clean and they do have a fancy coke machine but I fancied the sweetened iced tea. On to the food! It was pretty awesome and came out pretty quick with the number of people that were there. I had the Club on a Sub and it was delicious! I toyed around with the hot sauces but found that the house hot sauce mixed with the #9 rated Fire house hot sauce was a perfect blend for this sub! On Saturday March 17th at around 3:45 I came to eat here. The tables were dirty. Dining floor was filthy along with the restroom. Toilet in men's bathroom was broken and didn't flush. There was a half sub size piece of bread on the floor in dining area that was being stepped on constantly. Staff ( the manager I assume) was gossiping loud enough for everyone to hear about an other employee calling in sick for his shift, while the whole restaurant was upside down. Employees seemed like they were just hanging out, eating sandwiches in the filthy dining area while listening to their headphones. I hope I don't get sick from eating here. Despite arriving a half hour before closing, Sean and the crew were very friendly and accommodating to my boyfriend and I. Sean even had kind words about my pregnancy and wished us luck. Here's the thing, you guys are on FIRE.. Your sandwiches by far, are the best out there.. Now it may be a good idea to focus on your staff and customer service. I thought your product was the best of the best, but I had only had them brought to me, had no interaction with staff, and when I finally did the other day, the girl who I spoke with almost seemed arrogant and annoyed. I'm sorry for wanting to give a new company my business, I thought in the back of my mind. The subs are tasty and warm, I dig 'em. My first firehouse subs visit was actually in Florida, 4 yrs ago and I've not tried them again until today. It helps that they are close to home. Two thumbs up. Good riddance to Subway and Jimmy Johns. read more

Good sandwiches but greatly overpriced for the size. Not a good value when compared to other local sub shops.

Good sandwiches, very consistent. Had a Capt. Sorensen's grilled chicken; pretty tasty. The menu offers sandwiches under 500 calories which is good when you want to watch your calories. The staff is very friendly and sandwiches come out pretty quickly. Finally, the place is clean. read more

Have always been disappointed by firehouse sandwiches. They are small, overpriced and not a ton of flavor. A little better than Subway, but cost is much more. I've given them shot after shot, hoping maybe I was just ordering the wrong sandwich. They also take a bit longer to get your sub to you than most sandwich shops. Anyways, their concept is great and I'm all for supporting our fire fighters, however, it almost seems like they were banking on that. Like they could make a very mediocre sandwich that does not fill you up and it's okay because it's for a good cause. Actually worked at goodcents years ago and was surprised to see it gone. gave firehouse subs a try. I must say it was awesome. I ordered a 12" Warm Italian and it was delicious . The meat was quality and piled on , some good seasoning on top of the cheese and tasty bread, the only thing off putting was they were a little heavy handed on the dressing which made it pretty messy so next time I'll ask for lite. Despite that I crushed all 12 " and was satisfied. Definitely will return. The area is a bit dead, so hopefully a good sub shop will increase traffic on that corner. read more

First time. We had the Turkey Bacon Ranch Sub and Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. The Turkey Bacon ranch was good, bread soft, would have liked a little more meat. Smokehouse was good, meat was tender and bread was soft. Pickles could have been criper. Overall we will be back. read more

UPDATED: store manager, Alex, reached out about my previous experience. Offered to refund my purchase. I went to the location and they re-made my order and this time it was delicious! Thanks for the great customer service! Previously: Ordered the "hero" large to go. Home 5 minutes later to eat and the sandwich was waterlogged like someone had dumped the last of the lettuce on it, water included- it was literally dripping... Very disappointed that quality control is not in place or that someone would pass that off as acceptable. The sandwich was inedible and I ended up throwing the whole thing out. Subway does a better job for Pete's sake! This is a new store in Arvada- thought I'd check it out. Other locations have not disappointed. read more

I love the food at Firehouse Subs. However, this one plays the two TV's so damn loud it gives me and my wife an instant headache. Theirs no reason to play an old NFL football game so loud on two TV's. This isn't a sports bar, it's a family sandwich shop. Also, the staff isn't very friendly and the dining area doesn't appear to get cleaned very often. Management needs to get their act together. read more

Ordered a tuna sub. When I got it, I noticed there was relish or cut up pickles in the tuna salad. There was nothing on the menu to indicate this. Since I can't eat pickles, I mentioned this at the counter. I was told they know the menu is "lacking" bit that was just the way things are - no offer to fix it, even though it was a known issue on their part. I'm very sad to post this review but given the very poor service today I feel the owner must know of the terrible customer service. We ordered two sandwiches online and on my sandwich I put "oil and vinegar on the side" as I've done dozens of times. When my husband went to pick up the order he saw that the oil and vinegar was on the sandwich with the containers also on the side. When he pointed this out to the teenage boy the employee said "it wasn't specific that it should ONLY be on the side, it really meant extra on the side". I have written confirmation of the clear instructions. The employee said he would make another sandwich but had to charge us. My husband is a kind man that avoids conflict so he didn't argue but this was clearly the store's error and we had to pay double. We go to this store once a week and I hope this was an anomaly but I think the owner should be aware of the poor service and terrible attitude of this employee. read more

Meatball sub is delicious! We have been there three times since this location opened, I think they still have some kinks to work out it seems like every time we are there our order seems to be messed up, however they do fix it right away. The only thing I have to complain about is at this location the staff never say, "welcome to firehouse!" Not a big deal and we will definitely be back soon. read more

Visit on Tuesday, Dec 17. Noon and place is empty which was odd for this location but boyfriend is starving. I am on Facebook and he orders in seconds, steak and cheese. I decide nothing sounds good. As we wait, he tries to get me to order, still... nothing sounds good. Get food to go and in car he is really feeling bad that I am not eating and keeps offering his sandwich. Finally I cave and take a bite to appease him. He ditches those few bites telling me to finish that half as he eats the other half. Large soda not so large, Cheetos were good. Nineteen hours later up for work, one hour later diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and fever. Three days of saltines, jello, Gatorade, missed work, sweating, disappointed clients and on the fourth day feeling better. Spoke with manager during our suffering from food poisoning and her only reply was "our meat comes to us precooked." Really? Well I feel so much better now. I went in to get my birthday sub, I order a veggie sub with NO MUSHROOMS, no tomatoes, no mayo, no oil. I got home to eat my veggie sub only to find LOTS OF MUSHROOMS ON IT. Needless to say I did not eat my sub forget going back to the store as i was already home. I ended up giving my sub away as I really do not like mushrooms. I don't see myself coming back as I did not get what I ordered, also they need more vegetarian options.
