4/9/2024 - A turkey sub, Lays sour cream and onion chips and pickles on delivery.
    Mikhail H.

It had been quite awhile since I grabbed food here. I was craving a simple turkey sub and this was beyond delicious. Even better - I popped into my delivery app when they were having a buy one get one free sandwich special. It seems like a duh but seriously, having a variety of chips to chose from and a pickle was so perfect and welcome.

Good place to get a nice toasty sandwich that is made quick and fresh. I ordered the Hook and Ladder on wheat (ham and turkey). The people working here are pretty friendly and we're able to make the sandwich pretty quick. You can either choose to eat inside or take it to-go.

Just an average sandwich place for us. Nothing too exciting. It's a level above Subway but not something we'll go back for without a coupon or offer. And they forgot my pickle!

Very tasty bbq brisket sandwich. However skimpy on amount of meat. For $8.49 for a medium, not a good value.

The staff at the counter was friendly and helpful. It was fairly busy on a weekend afternoon but they seemed well staffed. Everything moved along quickly. They even had people actively keeping the dining area clean, wiped down, and tidy. That made finding a clean spot to sit so much easier during the busy lunch hour. We ordered a chicken sandwich combo and a nugget combo. One of the combos included a pie as well. Everything came out quickly and served hot. My favorite side with chicken is always mashed potatoes with gravy and these, fast food style potatoes covered in gravy, didn't disappoint! Great flavor in the gravy! The nuggets and sandwich were both very good. Not overly greasy and not buried in breading. I'm not a fan of hot pocket type pies but my husband said it was very good. A surprising chicken spot discovery while out and about.

Kudos to the Cheesy Cheddar fries, Adobo Rice, and Ube pie for variety. No towels in the clean bathrooms so you need to touch the door handle. Gross. One and definitely done.

However after my son's baseball team won their District Championship and decided to go there for a celebration dinner, I was like sure, I'll celebrate this! Upon arrival I was surprised on how the restaurant was laid out. I wasn't expecting fancy, but I guess it was pretty casual. After waiting for people to get there i ordered @ the kiosk. I wanted a Diet Coke and a Sprite for my son, but i couldn't switch it before I completed my order, so my son got a little caffeine. After all was said and done, the meal for us was just north of $50. Two burgers, two (small) orders of fries for a crazy price of $4.99/order, and two shakes. For what it was i don't understand why it was so expensive. The burger was a burger. The bacon wasn't crispy and the overall size of the burger was below average. The fries were ok, hot and crispy, but for $5 probably half as many as I would have expected. Finally my son didn't have any complaints about his cookies and cream shake, however I was really confused by my "S'mores" shake. I could make out the chocolate chunks, and the pieces that supposedly were graham crackers. There was absolutely zero sign (or taste) of anything that even resembled marshmallow, which is the whole point isn't it? In closing the kids had a great time...running around in the grass afterwards probably trumped the dinner. I however much prefer Five Guys...their fries and shakes are superior imo as well. I was celebrating the teams win, however the food and pricing gets a "L". Would not return unless they won STATE, and then i would bring Five Guys from across the street.

The chicken is reasonably tender, likely brined (I hope they don't use bittermilk, as the results could be explosive ). The coating is mostly crisp, but these are far from the best in Portland or the US. For instance, you can STILL get the best chicken strips (not fingers, frickin' chickin' breast that's been pounded flat and tender, with a nice crispy coating. I had such a bizarre experience here that I just had to write about it on yelp…read more This Chimcking usually has 2 different BOGO offers on UberEats, each for a 10pc chicken wings. I usually buy both of the BOGO offers, and I've done this a few times in the past, and they've all gone fine, no problems. I get my 4x10pc wing orders without issue. Yesterday I did the same thing - I ordered 2 BOGOs, expecting my usual 40 wings. But when I walked into pick it up, the Asian lady at the counter (I think she's the owner, maybe?) chastised me and told me to limit myself to just 1 BOGO order in the future. Huh? I only got 2 BOGOs, and it's not like the price was so cheap that the restaurant was losing money or something. And besides, I've ordered these 2 BOGOs numerous times in the past. That's when I saw that the restaurant was treating any SINGLE 10pc order as a BOGO. So when I checked out with my 4 10pc orders, the restaurant took that to mean 4 BOGO orders, or in other words, EIGHT 10pc orders. No wonder the lady was upset. Of course, it's not my error, as the restaurant was interpreting the order incorrectly. I even tried my best to explain this to the lady, as well as explain that I've ordered these BOGOs multiple times in the past (and this same lady was at the desk when I picked them up!!), and it's never been an issue. Still, the lady kept insisting she was correct, and that 1 10pc order constituted a BOGO in itself, which makes absolutely zero sense, and not how literally any other merchant I've ever bought from on UberEats has done their BOGO promotions, which I also told her. Anyway, in the future, I'll still continue to order as many BOGOs as I want, I'll just probably order delivery so I don't have to deal with this nonsense. EDIT: I see the owner has responded to my review. I can certainly see how someone exploiting multiple BOGOs to order 100+ wings at a time would be harmful to the company and completely against the spirit of the promotion. But I did nothing like that. Two different BOGOs were being offered, and I simply purchased 1 of each. I've done this multiple times both at this restaurant and at numerous other restaurants that offer different BOGOs, and this was literally the first time that any restaurant worker has mentioned a word about it. The biggest issue is that the Chimcking workers are apparently a bit undertrained when it comes to processing ubereats BOGO promotions, which is why I received 80 wings instead of the 40 I was supposed to get.
