Went to Fire House subs for the first time with my husband today and to say our experience was underwhelming would be an understatement. For a small sandwich (which is about a 1/3 of a sub/ about 4 inches or so) and drink I paid around $9.00, which is a tad expensive, but I gave the menu the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. This sandwich looked like it was slapped together in 5 seconds. I have seen better assembled sandwiches at Subway. There was barely any meat, the whole sandwich was dripping wet with sauce (got the Bacon Ranch Club), and there was little to no toppings (one slice of tomato and a sniff of lettuce does not cut it). $6.00 For the sandwich alone, I would assume I would get a lot more meat or at least more 'fluff' items such as lettuce/onion/tomato/ect. What really put me off this place was the service my husband and I received at the register. The two young women were more interested poking fun at each other than placing our order correctly. My husband and I had to correct them multiple times for sandwiches we were ordering, without alterations, directly from the menu. The worst part is that the cashier continually asked my husband to say word like "spaghetti" and other nonsense so they could hear it in his accent. As far as sandwich places in the are go, Firehouse is at the top of my list. Sandwich size and provision portions are great. The sandwiches have a lot of flavor. There are a lot of options to create your own or go for one of their standards from the menu. I'd like to try more of the sandwiches but I always go back to the Italian sub, can't get enough of that one. After all this, why only 4 stars? Simple, it takes so long to get my sandwich even if you're the only one waiting. If there's a line ahead of you be prepared to wait or, order ahead online. I never do this as it seems like a last minute decision, you know, on the way back from Target, "hey let's stop and get a sandwich!" This is how we always end up there. So it's with 4 or 5 stars, I'll give them 4.75. read more

We stopped by today after gymnastics class to find that they were doing a soft opening with free meals! My kids tried the tuna on wheat and meatball on wheat, and I tried the beef and cheddar on wheat. Kids ate everything, and my beef and cheddar was like a more delicious, real beef version of Arby's beef and cheddar. Our meal total would have been almost $30, so we donated $20 towards the firehouse donation bucket instead. We'll definitely be back; a solid sub sandwich joint. I'm giving this place 1 star only because I really like their sandwiches but their customer service is so bad. My order wasn't ready for pick up and I had to wait a long time before I received my order. I placed my order on the app. When I got to the restaurant to pick up, many people were waiting for their online orders too. One person told me he has already waited 50 minutes for his order. It was supposed to be ready at 5:00pm and it was already 5:50pm and he still waited another 10 minutes after that. Another said he has waited for 35 minutes and probably waited another 15 minutes before he got his order. When people complained about their online order not being ready, we were told several times that walk-in customers get priority and online orders need to get pushed back. There were people who walked in from the street and order and got their sandwich before all of us online orders. We were already there some waiting for more than an hour. Why were the online orders less of a priority than orders from people coming off the street to order right then and there when the people who ordered online have been waiting so long? Were we less important? Isn't that the whole point of ordering online, so it'll be ready at the scheduled picked up time so you don't have to wait? Needless to say, they had a lot of very unhappy customers that night. This isn't the first or even second or third time my online order hasn't been ready for pick up and I had to wait. It's alright.. I had the turkey bacon club on a toasted white roll with all the fixins. It wasn't great but it was fine. They have little plastic firefighter helmets for the kids which is a cool touch. They have one of those digital coke machines with all the different flavors too. This was our first time here and we were looking forward to trying a new sandwich place. The atmosphere is pretty cool as it has a firehouse decor. The sandwich sizes come in 4,8 or 12 inch. I ordered the New York Steamer as recommended by the employee and I thought it was very tasty and good. My husband opted to order one that was not recommended and ordered the club on a sub and I must say he was very disappointed. He felt the sandwich was very soggy. As he was watching them make the sandwich he saw them draining the meat after we think steaming it, but it wasn't drained well enough and made the bread really soggy. I would like to give this place another try as it may depend on the sandwich you order and who is making the sandwich but I may have a difficult time convincing my husband to try it one more time. Place is spotless on inside. Love the decor and ambience of joint. Staff greeted everyone upon entry and was extremely friendly. Service was fairly quick. There was amble seating available. Menu is straight forward and they seem to have an option for all palates. Sandwiches are perfectly portioned and food tasted fresh and good. I love the fact that you know you are supporting our hard working firefighters when you eat here. Feels good to do good just by having lunch! They definitely support local charities as well. Firehouse Subs posts their hours as "open until 9 pm" and their lights are on and their doors are open - but walk in to order a sandwich at 8:46 pm and you will be shown the door ... out! The employees state they really close at 8:45 pm in order to clean-up. REALLY. Can they not clean at 9 pm OR post their correct hours on their doors and online and state "We take our last order 15 minutes before closing." Really disappointing that a simple sandwich shop (which offers good food but rarely gets an order right) can't simply keep posted hours. It just makes everything we're all going through a little more difficult. Lastly, what a group of sad looking employees work there. I'm sure the franchise owners want the best for customers but the employees simply seem unhappy and oppressed. Great customer service by the gentlemen taking orders today. I got the Italian sub and asked for no onion or pickle and it came out exactly the way I asked. I also asked if they had any soups and I was given the suggestion to get the potato soup it was hot and delicious. Most of all, the sandwich was super good, perfect amount of meat, dressings etc. very pleased with my first experience here. I will definitely be back and with more people to come with. read more

Since new ownership, quality has dropped significantly. I can tell there aren't as many people working as there used to be. Lines and wait times are longer due to understaffing.
