Terrible service, my Wife ordered 3 Giant sandwiches via the app, picked up the bag without checking and found only two sandwiches and Salad Bowl. When she contacted the store they said the order was two sandwich's and a Bowl ($22.90), my wife has NEVER ORDERED a Salad Bowl. Just wanted to add to my first review. Lately, I have been coming here once a week. I have been ordering the extra large turkey with provolone cheese, onions, and mustard. Ordered for pick up. Got there five minutes later because I know it can be busy and they are usually behind.Told it would be 7-10 minutes more since my arrival, making it 15-20 min after the app time. So I quietly wait. There is one customer in the physical line, 2 line staff and one or two making online or phone orders. 5 walk in families are helped in the time I waited for my order that came in after me. Not sure if policy is not to have the line staff for people that walk in not help the online orders but had I walked in with my order vs ordering online 20 min ago I would have gotten quicker service. I asked about having the order go through walk in. A smile and just turned around with no answer. I continued to quietly wait. I then had to wait for many later received and random online orders to be done before they took my ticket while walk in families entered, had their sandwich made, and exited. Right when my sandwich was about to be made, the worker touched the trash can to move it, and then the drawer to get cheese and then the cheese. I finally spoke up. I asked if they could please change gloves because the trash can glove touched the food and the drawer and they did but I was given a very dirty look. From prior reviews, it appears I am not the first one to notice. I continued to quietly wait. I didn't say anything about the rag from the back that was used to clean the slicer as by that time I did not feel comfortable anymore. The sandwich was made with so much vinegar I couldn't eat it and the only put it in one slice of meat. It was angrily and appears to have been badly made on purpose and when she gave me the bag I continued to be polite and say thank you to which I got no reply. I was never mean at any time. I ordered catering for a party I was having for my daughters. I came in the day before to order and the young lady that helped me (sorry I did not get her name, I think a manager)she was very patient while I told her what kind of sandwiches I wanted. During trying to order she was also being the DJ telling one of the workers to change the music. I felt like the music in there, rap, was a bit loud and obnoxious, and I also asked the worker to change the song that he had put it on. We got a good laugh out of it but if I was to try and sit and eat lunch in there, I would not be happy especially with my kids and if there is cussing on the songs and subject matter. Do not come to this jersey mikes-- unless you want to be disrespected and harmed health-wise. They have the rudest workers. I came in today to order 2 regular size sandwiches. There was a skinny tall Caucasian male making my first sandwich. He asked if the sandwiches were mikes way and I said yes both subs will be mikes way but the club sandwich will have no oil & vinegar. The girl to the left of him was named Maddie and she asked me to put my phone number in before I was finished but I figured it would just make the process faster. That's not a problem but take note there was no other customers in the store-- no one in front of me & no one behind me waiting. When I looked over at the guy making my sandwich he was already wrapping it in the paper. I had to say "oh sorry I'm not finished with the sandwiches" I did not yell and I did not think it was a problem to begin with but as he unwraps it he looks at the girl at the cash register and they start laughing, smiling and rolling their eyes right in front of me. They made sure I would see them doing that. When I said something about them laughing right in front of me the guy walked away and went straight to the back. I also said "you're acting like I'm being unreasonable you didn't ask if I wanted anything else on the sandwiches and I don't know why I'm being rushed there isn't anyone here" Another worker stepped in to make the sandwich. No "I'm sorry" from either of them. They thought they could do that to someone and expect them not to say anything. I can't believe they would treat someone this way. He has an allergy to oil. I asked them not to put oil and vinegar on his in the beginning. This was the second time I ate at a Jersey Mike's Subs; first time at this Chino Hills location. Gotta say; YUMMY!!!! First time I must've not got the right sandwich but this time my sister recommended a cold sub and I saw the turkey was popular so I got it. Loved every bite! Get it Mike's Way with the sauces and whatever else they add. I also added jalapeños!! The mini totally filled me up. And props to the staff at this location. They were super friendly, patient and genuinely nice to all the customers. And they were following COVID protocols because I noticed a customer was waiting too close to us and the guy making our sandwich said to them oh you can go ahead and pay for your meal while you wait. 3 strikes I'm out. Always a long wait. I've ordered and paid for extra meat several times, never get it. Finally complained to the person in charge after dealing with this, my fault, for a few years. I've been to many Jersey Mike's, but wanted to try something different instead of an Italian Sub. From the JM website, it has a Chicken Salad Sandwich, so I ordered at this Chino Location. The server laughed and said we don't serve those. Instead I ordered again, and Italian Sub. She took my order and I waited in front of the preparer that took the order for 3 minutes (similar procedure for the 3 patrons in front of me). As the preparer was cutting, I asked if she could cut in 4 pieces and she said sorry, this is not my order, but someone else's online order. I canceled my order and walked out. COVID-19 review. Jersey Mike's on 4.25.2020 and 4.16.2020 had a fund raiser running. 20% of the revenue will go to an organization helping feeding humans during these COVID-19 times. We placed our order 4.25 online at 5:55pm but told our order would be ready for pick up 4.26 at 11am. We ordered for dinner and chose to call in. Once connected they were happy to fulfill our order that night so we could enjoy our Jersey Mike's meal. Had to change a sandwich since they ran out of roast beef, but overall very happy. Anthony is the guy with the earrings and when I called to make a complaint he said he was the manager. Such real piece of work. Ruined my sandwich twice with sticking jalapeños in it when I asked for only a few. He and another worker were laughing about it when making my sandwich and when I got my sandwich I knew what he was up to . I had to throw it away when I got home. It was hot and I mean hot, so this time I was t looking at who was making my sandwich and when I spotted him making it he gave me a dirty look because I kept watching him. Got home and went through the same thing so I called him and said that I knew what he did and why and told him not to ever touch my sandwich again. He's new there as is many workers there and the place has gone down hill. They have no idea what they r doing which is fine because not going to return but he is making it bad for the business owner. LOVE THIS LOCATION! I have a gluten allergy so finding a place I can eat out without getting sick is not easy. When I found out Jersey Mikes had gluten free bread I had to try it out. This location is GREAT and do a wonderful job cleaning everything and building some excellent sandwiches. My wife and I now seem to come at least once a week for sandwiches due to this. We've tried a bun h of the Hot subs and have liked them all. We will continue to try different ones, but the hot sandwiches have been great with the cooler fall weather in the afternoon and evenings. We actually live very close to the Phillips Ranch location but will only come to this location due to the great sandwiches and service. The "other" location is horrible IMO. There was 5 employees working and I still had to wait an extra 20 minutes to get my online order. Ordered 5 sandwiches online for a pickup of 1:20pm, ordered at 12:30pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 1:15pm, they had a line of about 6 customers. I asked for my ordered and the cashier told me I'd have to wait another 15 mins due to high online orders. What really happened was they took everyone's order waiting in line first and made my sandwiches after they only had one customer in line. What is the purpose of online ordering with a pick up time if you aren't going to execute the customer's order in the time given????? No apology, no recognition of delay, nothing. I usually love coming here but I went in on 12/1/22 around 5:30 -6 pm and when I ordered two minis one on white the other on wheat and asked for cheese and bell peppers only on the white bread and not on both, then to be asked if I wanted it on both...makes no sense to me I worked at subway so I'm used to having to make multiple sandwiches at once so idk if the girl was new but def should not have been helping customers if she doesn't understand her job position. I just moved into this area from OC a couple of years ago but it wasn't until this year I started going to this Jersey Mikes quite a bit. I go about once every week or two weeks. I have to admit, the staff is one of the most nice, comforting, and efficient I've ever encountered who work at a place like this. I'm originally from New York (Which is next to Jersey of course and both states have extremely similar cultures and people types actually. And no, I haven't lived there for some years but I was there long enough and been back enough times to speak on this) and where I spent all those years living there, a lot of independently owned restaurants have people who make you feel comfortable and treat you like you're extremely welcome once you come in. This location has that. They actually give the location a "Jersey-Ish feel" as a result and I don't think i've encountered a staff member there who didn't make me feel that way. Not so far anyway. As for the food, the sandwiches are really good. Usually I order the Italian. Maybe 5-10% of the time, I'd change it up and get a philly cheesesteak or chicken philly which they use pretty good beef and how they grill it there is really good. If you want them to add a little extra of any non-beef/cold cut ingredient, just ask. Oh, and another thing I like about the staff there is they never miss an opportunity to ask you how you like your sandwich before they start putting the add ons on top of the beef/cold cuts. I know it's protocol for them to do it, but some people at places like this are so lazy or have such bad personalities, they just look at you and expect you to just speak what you want and honestly that's a totally discomforting thing to see. And they also always remember to make sure I use my phone number to accumulate JM points whenever I buy sandwiches and let me know efficiently whenever I accumulate enough to get a free whatever from them when I'm there and I really appreciate that so much. So to conclude, I think the place is a really good location. I wish more owners would hire the type of people this location's owner has. I wish I knew them all by names. I only know Jovana who is really awesome. She was the one who started actually memorizing what sandwiches I get and how I like em. When I come in, she greets me and always asks me if I will be having the number 13 but in such a warm and welcoming way and she's really cool to chat with. Another standout is Dylan who is a sweetheart of a guy. Such a nice dude and a kind presence. Laura is another one she's very nice. I wish I knew the others by name but I don't. There was one dude who used to work there until just a few months ago. White guy, early 20s, brown hair, really mellow. I haven't seen him in awhile, but he was really nice too. Wish he knew how much I appreciated him and if he had quit some time ago, I hope someone lets him know how grateful I am for how nice he was to me whenever I'd come in. What people don't realize is just cuz it's sandwich place, doesn't mean you have the right to be a lazy or bitter/miserable person. You may not be making Forbes 500 money and it may not be your top ambition to be working there forever, but you're still being paid to provide a service to the public. You represent a company and an owner who invested time and money into hiring you and they pay your bills. It's your duty to be how these awesome people are to those who come in to pay for what they get every day you're there. If you let the customers know they're welcome and appreciated for coming in every time, never judging them by how or what they order, and service them to the best of any ability, then it makes the customer feel comfortable to come back even more. As a frequent customer myself, it makes me subconsciously want to come back as much as I do and it essentially gives the location more businses that way. Think about it. I wish employers would really hire people like the ones who work there. Really check into the characters of the people they hire and make sure they are like these people. Too many people have lazy or miserable demeanors that seriously make me start avoiding those locations even if the food is pretty good. It really means a lot when a restaurant has people like them. I went in earlier today and decided to use our accumulated points which were close to 600 via the JM Club. Tyler and his entire staff of Kiana, Tisha, Denise, & Laura all do such a GREAT job. I've never had an issue while being a loyal Customer since they opened their doors. Today I had the #9 which is turkey, roast beef & bacon which is prepared Mike's way. The Whiners who post here are most likely people who expect five star service where ever they go, life is not perfect. It's fast food, if you expect perfection at a fast food price, get over it and go pound sand. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and for those of you unfamiliar with Jersey Mike's, get this - when you sign up with them online, you get a free regular sub (any choice on the menu) and drink on your birthday! The catch = you have to get the sub and drink on your actual birthday date. So, seeing how we were headed to Disneyland to celebrate, we figured we'd pick up her sub and one for myself before heading there. While it was Kathy's first time going to the chain, I'd been to the locations in my hometown of San Diego previously, so she was looking forward to trying it out. We both went with the Club Supreme - turkey, ham, roast beef, and bacon - and had them made Mike's Way (all the veggies, mayo, and dressing, plus choice of cheese). There's only two choices of bread here - white and wheat - but at least the rolls are big enough to put plenty of toppings on. Both of our sandwiches turned out great, especially when the oil and vinegar brought out the taste of the sandwich meats. The employees are quite friendly; the gal making our sandwich was excited to find out we were heading to Disneyland and Downtown Disney, and we made small talk about how there was always something going on at the latter location, even if you weren't a passholder or just visiting for the day.
