Good food thought that the service was good and the way the food was cooked was so good

Firehouse was highly recommended by a friend. TERRIBLE!!! Took over two hrs to arrive. I'm only a few miles away. I ordered online on their app, to be delivered. So unbelievably soggy -- looked like excessive mayo! I didn't order mayo. Finally, two unsatisfactory rude phone calls which did not help. One with Firehouse & one with DoorDash. (Appears to me DoorDash & Firehouse weren't in-sinc.) Jersey Mikes is so much better. To top it off, the delivery person sneakily left it on my front porch & did not ring the door bell. (I get all deliveries thru open garage door with all lights on.) DO NOT USE THEIR DELIVERY SYSTEM. read more

I was watching the Super Bowl and decided to order a Firehouse sub. I ordered the sub at 6:15 pm , by 8:30 I had not received the order. They showed that the sandwich had been delivered. It had not. I called the help line and talked to someone I could not understand due to his accent. He put in another order and said that it would be 60 minutes. The restaurant is 5 min from my house. I told him that I wanted to cancel the order because it was too long. He informed me that he could not cancel due to the order was put in and confirmed. It is now 9:30 and I still have not received the sandwich. This whole experience has turned me off to Firehouse. I am 74 years old and do not drive so i am limited to home delivery. read more

Bought 12 small sandwiches half turkey half ham and after receiving my older. I noticed I only had 11 Sandwiches. I told the worker and they handed me another box which I assumed was another sandwich. After opening my sandwiches I noticed none of the sandwiches had tomatoes or lettuce. Last Minute Life Savers We were having a group of 8 show up at our house to help unload some furniture and I wanted a quick solution to feed everyone. It was really hot outside and some chilled subs sounded much more appealing than the standard hot pizza or bag-o-burgers to serve to everyone. Personally I like this place. I had no idea there was one here until recently. I'm from Georgia and there was almost always a Firehouse Subs at a strip mall in town, and moving to Tennessee was kind of tough food wise since so many chain businesses from Georgia don't exist here. The food is great. The bread, the meat, and the sauces are a bit too sweet for me, however it's offset by the acidity of soft drinks. They have one of those fancy Coke machines that have everything, but the touch screen is a little finicky. The people are nice. They aren't rude and they always greet you when you walk in. Over all I would definitely recommend this place to any of the friends. read more

The last two visits to the Firehouse Sub shop at 1940 Shady Brook St, Columbia, TN 38401, we have ordered to go. Arriving home, we discovered that at least one of the sandwiches (50%) was prepared incorrectly (cold, not toasted) and neither "fully involved" sandwich had included a dill pickle. I researched the site and found that both (Pastrami and Hook and Ladder) are advertised as having "a kosher dill pickle on the side." When we eat the same sandwich on site, the order is prepared correctly and we always get a pickle. My conclusion, take-out customer' order's are treated differently. My wife says she will give the store another try. As for me, I have eaten my last Firehouse sub and will work to convince her to follow my lead. read more

Specialty Subs! It is always exciting to have a new restaurant come to the city you where you work. I finally got the chance to stop in last week. Since I love turkey, swiss, and mushrooms I ordered the engineer specialty sub. It was a great sub and I love all the chip choices for the combos. I had the baked lays with my sandwich but they also had sun chips as well as many other varieties. The wait is a bit longer than other sub shops but well worth it. I would wait twice as long for the soft fresh bread alone. If you enjoy a good sub then you should give this place a try. read more

I'm a big fan of firehouse subs. Most of the sandwiches are delicious. My favorite is the steamer, But the last three were all fatty and I have to throw half the meat away. So I'm downgrading from a 5 too three stars. At almost $10 per sandwich after taxes....the meat should be "lean". Try the roast beef instead. read more

The food is really good but fairly over priced. Almost $30 for two children under ten and myself. I tried the Capt. Sorensen's Datil Pepper Grilled Chicken of of the hearty and flavorful menu without mayo and it was good and filing for less than 400 calories. The staff seemed a little unhappy, everyone behind the counter looks like they don't like working here. Terrible service. Ordered three times still got it wrong. No mustard no mayo how hard is that. Then they told my wife yours is gonna be a while we messed it up. Then when we finally got both our sndwiches 10 minutes apart they were cold. I never had a cold steak sandwich and now I know why. Not even an apology or offer to comp or reduce the giant bill.
