I've ordered from here for uber eats and every time they prepare an order, they don't secure the bags for delivery. They always put them in the smallest bags and then the containers are open. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would worry if these were contaminated for any reason. Also I put in the order for side of pickles and they're always missing. Terrible, I didn't bother for my several other uber orders but this time I called to inquire why this happens. The man I spoke to wanted to use "being busy" as an excuse. Honestly deserves a ZERO due to the individual or mngr in charge today Saturday November 29th, 2025. I have already contacted corporate on this visit. Basically told in a rude nutshell, that the order I placed on the App at 7:13 pm, could not be fulfilled regardless of the fact I supplied 2 order confirmations as well as proof Firehouse received their $ out my bank account. JOSE , individuals name was the rudest, unprofessional employee I have ever encountered in my 52 years. Stood around for over 30 minutes asking if my order came through yet to be shrugged off repeatedly by Jose that it's not his fault my order hasn't come through, that it's my responsibility to call Corporate. I have already been in touch with Corporate. I get technology can be lagged but to be so rude and not try to fix this issue while I furnished my confirmation receipt as well as me asking questions inquiring if I should wait was completely unacceptable. I hope this location on 5590 Camden Rd has cameras to pull to see his outrageous behavior when I was simply concerned on how to fix this as I was now having to dispute my bank card charge from FH since we never received my order even after still waiting over an hour since we drove so far to this location. I had wanted to try Firehouse when I first saw it in Sanford, LOVE the idea of two firemen starting a business and have heard great things about the subs so as soon as I figured out there was one in Hope Mills I made the trip over for dinner tonight . The place is really cute, decorated with Fireman's tools, hoses and uniforms, many photos of firetrucks and firemen all throughout. Tonight they had a 95 Health Score rating posted.... for a new place... well I don't know it could be a number of things.( It looked really clean in there) I ordered the Number 3 in a combo (with chips and a drink}. The cups are very large, more like a HUGE drink at Taco Bell, I am not a huge fan of the "magic coke machine" that dispenses up to like 400 different drink possibilities, but OK I'll play along I made up a coke Zero with Lime and Vanilla. The food- Ok the sandwich was a small french roll with a very small portion of corned beef and pastrami but it was hard to taste either one because it was shaved and so skimpy that there was no definition between any ingredients I was not sure if the white stuff was mayo or provolone very thin layer. The lady asked me if I wanted mustard and mayo I don't think it had any the bread was white and mustard should have at least colored the bread. In other words $9 for a sandwich meal here when $8 will get you a LOADED sandwich at Jason's deli there is NO COMPARISON to the portions on the Jason's Deli New York Yankee and the Firehouse New York Steamer sandwich here. My dinner companion had the Turkey Bacon Ranch and his sandwich had lettuce and tomato so I assume that is what made his seem so much larger because I looked at the meat and it was not very loaded either. *We are not ravenous eaters we usually struggle to make it through a sandwich at Jimmy John's and I have NEVER EVER made it through an entire sandwich at Jersey Mike's. The people working in there were nice and friendly. you place your order then they bring your food to your table but I think asking your first name is silly because "John" was called out and the worker walked all through the dining area looking for the right John. maybe table numbers? that might help. It took a while to get the food so go when you are not in a hurry or particularly starving. I am glad I ate lunch today or I would have been snacking before bedtime tonight. Bottom line : I have no plans to go back for now unless I am looking for a light meal and don't mind paying for the ambiance. As always I have included photos. Give them a try and see what YOU think. My favorite and only sub I've tried is the Italian sub. The bread is buttery and sweet tasting. I like to try the different hot sauces. The Georgia Peach Valida Onion sauce is very good and one of my favorites. I was happy to see it here. I was able to find it on Amazon.com months ago. The sandwich is always good but I would suggest eating it in the restaurant because the pickles made the bag wet and the sandwich was heavy & cold (minus one star). read more

I enjoy knowing the backstory of businesses. Since Quiznos dwindled down in this area - this is my go to sub place over any other sub restaurant! We used this location to cater my husband's Change of Command Ceremony. Joy was so professional and courteous. They bring everything that's needed...plates, forks, napkins, and a smile. She was on time and the food was awesome! I will definitely continue to use Firehouse for any catering needs that I have. Always friendly service as soon as you walk through the door! The menu is rather large, and so much to choose from. You can pretty much get your meal any way you like it, and my current fave is The Engineer, YUM! The cookies and brownies are delicious and it's real nice to have a large soda selection. My fave is Rootbeer with vanilla. Maybe I'm a bit frugal, but it seems a teensy bit pricey for a sandwich. It tastes so good that I don't mind though! Also, you can ask to round up your order total to the nearest dollar and it goes to charity. If you like hot sauce, they have a ton to choose from to add to your sandwich! read more

There was just so much turkey and bacon stuffed on the sandwich, it was worth the 9 bucks for the combo. The place was really clean and staff was friendly. I ordered a hero but wanted brisket, roast beef,and cornbeef They barely gave me any brisket. Stopped at this Firehouse Subs for some dinner before a movie. The customer service was ok and the sandwiches were awful! My wife and I ordered the same sandwich (Turkey and Cranberry). What we received was unacceptable. The turkey was essentially mush smashed in between two pieces of bread. The level of quality at this place is disappointing low. Firehouse is always a favorite in this house! We never eat subs from anywhere else! We usually get the hook and ladder and the Italian. We have never had an issue with anything wrong on our sandwiches and any time we venture from that order the food is still delicious. The food is always fresh and flavorful, the staff is kind and courteous (as well as helpful when asking questions about the hot sauce selection). We like to get different flavors of hot sauces (neither of us like hot, though we do like flavor, so we stick with level 6 and below) to try with our sandwiches. read more

Went into Firehouse today for the very first time (6\15\2013@11:57:42 AM order # 19390). Will never go back there again. I ordered a #6 and my wife ordered a #1. Once our order arrived I took TWO bites of the sub and realized I didn't like the taste of it. I do not know if it was bad meat or cheese or what. I asked the manager (Toni?) if I could exchange it for another (NOT A REFUND) and she said no. I explained that I only took two bites out of it. She said it was not the policy of Firehouse Subs to refund or exchange. I stated to her that I am not looking for a refund just a different sub and I would settle for just a half. I had ordered a medium and still had the other half left. She again said no. My bill came to $18.11 and I couldn't even eat the food. She told me I had to purchase another sub and throw away the other. Well that was $10 wasted on my order. I will never go there again. read more
