Admittedly this was my first experience with Firehouse Subs. So I was a bit flummoxed as to what to order. I was really in the mood for a veggie sandwich but upon hearing even those are heated up, I changed my mind to the NY Steamer. Hubster ordered the Steak & Cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful walking us through our maiden voyage. The location was clean. We ordered and anxiously awaited our lunch. With our beverages in hand we sat at one of the high tops inside and watched the football game on the big screen...added bonus. Our subs were flavorful, although I feel like the small sub I ordered could have used a bit more roast beef. It was a nice and handy place to enjoy a quick and semi-healthy lunch and I am sure we will pop in again on another occasion. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. On more than one occasion we have experienced unfriendly and rude behavior from the older man behind the counter that I assume is the manager or supervisor. The first occurrence was picking up an online order last summer and in the order I asked for a cup of soup. When I went, he said "we don't have the soup on the warmer. Who would want that when it's 100 degrees outside?!" I said I'll just take a refund for the item I ordered and he quickly changed his tune to microwave cold soup from the back. He made me feel bad about their insufficiency to have items on their menu prepared or customer orders and handled it atrociously. The second occasion was tonight (again with an online order that we picked up in store). My finance walked in and said "hello how ya doing?" And the same employee said "Terrible! What's your name?" And my fiancée said his name and the guy goes "There's nothing here with that name" so they look up under my name and the employee just says "here." Not thanks, have a good night. Thanks for coming in..... just abrasive and rude in every way he interacts with customers. We like the company supporting firefighters but at this point with the service and price point it's not worth it. We're gonna start just going to other sandwich shops so we're treated decently. read more

Older Man who claims to be the owner is rude and does not listen. Ordered a large sub and ended up getting a medium , did not notice until I looked at the sandwich in the parking lot. Was upset and came back in the guys behind the counter had the older man come up to the register. He tried to tell me I was rude when I came in Not rude but polite and tipped him 10.00)and that I definitely told him a medium sandwich. Also told me I was wasting his time. I should know better... their sandwiches are not half bad, their salads are definitely not worth it in any way. Not a single leaf of lettuce, it was completely solid "spines" with zero actual lettuce, and then covered with toppings to hide this. I ate the toppings and trashed the rest. I've been a regular customer at Firehouse Subs for years and frequently support both the Roseville and Folsom locations. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I will no longer support the Folsom location due to the completely unprofessional and unacceptable service from Chris. I placed a large order of 15 sandwiches. When reviewing the order confirmation receipt, it reflected 18 sandwiches instead. I politely informed Chris that the order was incorrect and asked to go over it again in detail. Instead of working with me, he immediately became defensive, insisting he entered it exactly as I ordered. When I calmly explained that something was clearly off and I needed to review it against my spreadsheet, his response was: "I don't know why you have an attitude when you need something from me." Chris then proceeded to re-enter the order, still using the incorrect confirmation as his reference, rather than starting fresh as I requested. When I clarified again, his focus was on labeling me as having an attitude rather than fixing the mistake. As a paying, loyal customer, I find this lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service completely unacceptable. Despite his attitude (and the fact that he didn't deserve it), I still left a tip--knowing it will be the last tip I ever leave at this establishment. I will happily continue to support the Roseville location, where I've consistently had positive experiences, but the Folsom location has lost my business. The nerve of Chris to treat customers this way is disappointing, and I hope Firehouse Subs management takes this feedback seriously. read more

I was visiting a friend here in Folsom, and she wanted to grab a quick lunch here at Firehouse Subs. Normally I'm not a fan of fast food sandwich shops, like Subway or Port a Subs. But I say OK, and we go in. I just went with something simple, a turkey sub. The sandwich looked decent, but biting in,I could tell there was something missing ... just seemed kind of bland and could have used some MSG or something! I was really here to visit with my friend, so I can forgive the food, it wasn't the highlight of the visit. Upon arrival I was greeted by a young lady who also took my order & made my sandwich , she had a smile on her face the whole time . ( receipt shows host: "Daya") WHAT I GOT Medium Turkey Bacon Ranch w/wheat bread : 5/5 The bread was nice and soft & the meat was warm with the perfect amount of everything This is what it comes with : Smoked turkey breast, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and creamy peppercorn ranch dressing & a pickle spear on the side Bowl of Chicken & Dumplings : 4/5 The soup was HOT not WARM and I appreciate that , the peas in it weren't too tasty but worth trying Overall the restaurant is spotless and clean , they have CONTACTLESS Coca Cola vending machine that is pretty cool & something to brag about . Was seriously craving a tuna sub last week. I had a little coupon for a free meal upgrade here, so Firehouse Subs it was. I placed the order online because when I called a couple of times to order, there was no pick up. When I got there I learned I could only use the coupon if I ordered on the phone or came in. The staff let me use it anyway, which I really really appreciated, because my pregnant butt was gonna be SO sad without my bubbly drink (as I had already paid online). The tuna sub was pretty much exactly what I was looking for- and my husband's sub was reportedly good too. We will be coming back, thank you again for honoring the coupon :). read more

First time there. First impressions were really favorable. Nice, open, clean-looking with fun fire station decor. Staff were really nice too! Alas.... Had one of their medium hot subs and was very disappointed. Pretty pricey for a wee bit of meat and large slathering of Mayo and mustard. Definitely NOT worth the price, unfortunately. It's a shame. Their catering menu looked great and I was hoping to use them for a large group outing I've got planned. Alas, don't think that's gonna happen. I might try a cold sub before deciding. First issue was when I went to order the cashier decided that was a great time to take a phone order - which took at least 10 minutes. Second issue was my husband's sandwich - it was completely smashed. Mine was find, bread in nice shape. His was SMASHED. It looked horrible. Third issue was asking for a refund. Review of my first time visiting a Firehouse Subs restaurant. This location is on Bidwell near Blue Ravine. Parking lot right in front. Clean, bright and cheerful decorations with a Firehouse theme. They have sandwiches, soups and salads. The man who waited on us was very helpful and explained the menu/process, etc. The sandwiches are toasted or cold - your choice. They have three sizes of sandwiches to choose from. There are TONS and TONS of toppings options, sauces, cheese, etc to choose from. You can truly customize your sandwich and they make it easy to do so. I like that. I had a Hook and Ladder sandwich combo with chips and a drink. It was quite delicious and tasty and I would definitely order the hook and ladder again. The small sandwich is really small. I would suggest a medium. The only reason this is not five stars is the price. Two medium sandwiches, two chips and two sodas is about $25. read more

Been to many places for a sub sandwich but Firehouse Subs, in my opinion, is up there with the best! My daughter took me here, as she highly recommended the place. And now, I also highly recommend Firehouse Subs for what they offer in store! The place is clean. Even the drink dispensing area is quite dry! No sticky mess here. Of course, we came here during the Covid pandemic, so there are no dine-ins, unless you opt to sit on their outside tables. But nonetheless, the sandwiches were great! And reasonably priced for the size of the sandwich! My daughter and I originally just ordered sandwiches, but when we saw Mello Yello, we had to ask the staff if it was too late to change our orders to combos...and the nice kid was kind enough to accommodate us! The staff were quick to make our sandwiches. And were very helpful and still cheerful, in spite of the long queue present inside the store. Apparently, this establishment supports firefighters! Huge let down. So many people talked this place up and I was really bummed when my sandwich was not up to par. Honestly wish I went to subway. ok, back again. Last time my order was messed up, so i got a free sandwich.. Thought i would collect.. Ordered my sandwiches.. Almost the same order as before. My first time at Firehouse Subs. As I entered, the Chef and two others greeted me with a smile. The place was spotless and smelled of some smoky bbq. I ordered a large Firehouse steak sandwich at $16.99. Being there just before noon, there were a few patrons inside, some online orders and maybe a delivery setup before me. Given that, it only took about 20 minutes. The steak sandwich was the best restaurant entree I've had in years. Tasty sandwiches but expensive! We ordered the medium cheese steak & the jerk turkey sandwiches. Aside from waiting 10 to 15 minutes for the sandwiches to be ready. Two sandwich makers and 1 cashier who doubles as a third sandwich maker. Somehow the two sandwich's at 11.99 each turned out to be 29.90. And no drink or chips! Seems like a really big ripoff. There aren't many Firehouse Subs in the Sacramento area yet, but it worked out that I was in Folsom today around lunch time. Because I joined their online club I had a free medium sub in my account for my birthday. Pretty cool huh? I had a ham and cheese on a wheat roll and it was very good. It came with a tasty dill spear also. Service was excellent, but they weren't busy when I was there. It probably won't be too long before we have one of these down in Elk Grove. I was in the area and hungry and stumbled across Firehouse. I've heard of them but never checked them out. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. Parking is a breeze since they're in a large parking lot with several neighboring businesses. I chose a hot turkey sandwich with a cup of chili. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and the flavors complemented each other well. The chili was decent but I've had better. They have the fun Coke fountain machine that you can make some great customized fountain beverages with. I left full and happy and I'd return. It's cool they donate to the firefighters burn institute. They sell their used five gallon pickle buckets for a couple of dollars each. Much cheaper than Home Depot and the money goes to a great cause. read more

I ordered two large sweet & spicy meatball subs add lettuce and mayo. I asked for the add-ons after bake. When I received the sandwiches they appeared to have no lettuce and there were mayo packets on the side. I asked the sandwich maker if I could have lettuce. He said it's on there under the meatballs. I asked did you cook the sandwiches with the lettuce? He smiled and said yes. I have never had anyone cook lettuce on a sandwich in my life. The lettuce was soggy and disgusting. Like a lot of places trying to position themselves as a step above Subway or similar, they are not. Yes proceeds go to fireman or first responders but that doesn't make me want to go here again. At $10 for a mediocre SMALL sandwich they should be able to donate plenty. Every time I try a more pricy version of fast food I'm disappointed. And I live sandwiches but it makes me realize it's just not worth it. You're better off at McDonalds or something similar where you'll pay half what you pay here and get more food. read more
