I loved their sandwiches. Great variety of sandwiches. My kids will go nuts over their soda machine of 120+ drink choices. I had a cherry vanilla coke and a steak cheese sandwich with bell pepper, onions and mushrooms. They have this sauce bar that has about 30 sauces. I got the Firehouse pepper sauce and it was killer on my sandwich. Shoot had some on my eggs in the morning and it was killer. It is a spicy ketchup sauce so any thing you would put salsa or ketchup on it would go great on it. You have to try these sandwiches. read more

Didn't know that this place existed but T-mobile had a promotion on their subs. So first time trying out and I let the cashier know too. They have so much confusion on what is in the sub and so on. The nearby Which-Wich closed - but their concept was great - you tick marked everything that you wanted on the sub. Subway is good too - you can visually see what things are being added to the sub. With these guys, the whole concept could use some work. But apart from the concept using some work, very disappointed with the sandwich. Generally, you get sandwiches from restaurants for the great bread that they use. The bread here was one of the worst excuse that I have seen for a bread in a sandwich place - it was almost like hot dog buns. I ordered a medium sandwich at around $9, that was not filling. First try Firehouse is next to my favorite supplement store so I thought I would give it a try. Overall pretty good but they have some kinks to work out. It's new so I will give it another try sometime and see how it goes. Pros: Service was polite. Food came out quick for me. They have any expediter who keeps things going. My sandwich was very good (maybe a bit too much bread for the meat but good). Location seemed very clean. Great soda machine. Cons: No real line. A mass of people started forming around the register during my visit. Luckily after me! A person I know got there before me and ordered but their sandwich got "lost". The expediter noticed her and took care of it, but I already had my food so it was a bit of a wait for her. They may need a better order/number tracking system. A bit pricey for the size of the sandwich and the bread overwhelmed the meat. We used to eat at Firehouse Subs very often. The food is great. Now with Covid, we tried to order food for takeout. The app was very frustrating. We spent 20 minutes trying to order and when we finally got to the submit screen a message said to try again later or call the store to place our order. I then went to update my payment details but was told that is done at the time I submit my order. So I tried to submit again and was again told to try later or call the store. I called the store and they said sometimes their site doesn't work and I could place my order over the phone. Frustrating! In this age, restaurants need to pivot to supporting online and app orders. I have been to the firehouse subs three times now, including on my wedding anniversary! I am willing to drive all the way from Elk Grove, a distance of 25-30 miles for an affordable delicious meal at this new restaurant. That should tell yelpers how much I love this place! What exactly do I love? The turkey bacon ranch eight inch sub along with the fantastic cherry limeaid and the firehouse hot sauce which I put generously on my sandwich. My husband really enjoyed the footlong steak sandwich, the one that is like a Philly cheesesteak. My whole family is loving this place as well. The event was a staff retreat with about 10 people so I was a little worried if they didn't come through or were not satisfactory (since it was a free trial) I'd be in a jam. My family and I love coming here for a quick snack. The service is great, super friendly, and helpful and the food tastes amazing! The staff all wears masks (the right way) and I believe the customers have to wear them too. They prepare the sandwiches pretty quick and they always get my order right. If something is unclear they will ask questions before making it which is super considerate. Their vegetarian sandwich is to die for!! But all of their sandwiches are really good, I just know it's hard to find a good veggie sandwich but they've got it! Even when I'm not sure what to get so I spend some time thinking about it they're very patient with me and will help answer any questions I have. Long story long, I had about three weeks prior taken a bite from one of their subs for the first time and it was so delicious I took another huge bite even though I had only been offered one. Fast forward to my first visit to the store and priding myself on my fine education, excellent communications skills and stellar command of the English language I explained to the staff what I wanted like this: "Well, it was like all meat...just meat on this really delicious white bun. May I please look at your meat?" By this time three employees had joined me and were pulling meat out of the containers so I could view it. Ugh I'm so disappointed with this place in every aspect. First off, they only offer 2 types of bread - white or wheat. I ordered the Virginia ham sandwich and the ham was ridiculously sweet, sweeter than any other ham I've ever had. The sub had very little vegetables, and a bit too much mayo. The side of mac n cheese was a terrible addition for $3.99 since it was some premade pasta and cheese smothered in boxed bread bites (that tasted like that prepackaged stuffing for Thanksgiving dishes). Oh and the container was only filled halfway. My bf had the meatball sandwich which was tasted much better than mine, despite meatball being my least favorite type of sub. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because they had good service and the donation options are meritable. Otherwise, I was very disappointed with my sub and the mac n cheese was awful.
