The place was packed with seatings inside and outside. There was an older man that walks around and asks if everything went well and if we needed anything every couple minutes, that's so awesome. We placed our order and it came out pretty quickly. Took about maybe 5 minutes or so even though it was busy. I always order the #1 with no tomatoes protein style with whole onions. My go to order. When traveling, it sometimes hard to stop for food. We had been driving most of the day, and really didn't want to spend an hour at a sitdown restaurant. That's when we saw an In-N-Out burger. Our server was Brandon, who was pleasant, energetic, and friendly. We ordered cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. The food came out quickly, and since it was a beautiful day, we ate outside. The inside was clean and looked comfortable. The outside patio provided shade and comfortable seating. The food was good. This is not good. Over 10 years later and I'm posting an update. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat has gone downhill. Today I ordered a #3 hamburger protein style- $9 meal. Posting a picture of what the meat looks like. The lettuce and the spread was the best part. The meat was very thin and had a texture. Not good--- let's just say there were greasy chewy pebbles of grissle throughout the patty. Dang! Come on owners!! I'm running out of options here and you have a reputation. Yesterday, my husband and I went to this location. Deanna gave impressive service. My son works in fast food, so I'm aware of how hard these jobs can be and wanted to shout out Deanna. As she was handing us our order, she realized that the kitchen staff accidentally put tomato on my husband's burger. He despises tomato. She apologized and told us she'd fix it. Visiting in California, we had to try In -N - Out Burgers before heading home. There are so many Burger joints here but In -N- Out has a following so we headed there. As soon as you enter you are greeted. The place was clean and with red and white tiles. I had watched a video of hidden items on the menu and ordered an animal style cheese burger(lettuce, grilled onions, special sauce) and extra done fries and grilled bun. Everything was very tasty and we were in and out within 10 minutes. Wish we had them in Sarasota. This was the best burger joint for fast food I have encountered. Although the drive-through line always looks very intimidating, they seem to always get me through the line quickly. They are very efficient when taking orders through drive-through and when you go in the store as well. My absolute favorite, which is non-negotiable are their french fries! There's a handful of secret menu items, which makes it fun . I love how they have a little sticker/activity books for the kids or hats if they prefer. The line was long but went by very quick. My order is a bit complicated but the workers are never judgy, or at least they don't show it. Food came out pretty quick for how busy it was. The parking lot is a hot mess. Chaos! If you plan to park in the lot, just make sure you don't park in the spots next to the double drive thru lane. If you do, you may find yourself stuck there for quite awhile. You'll need to get the coordinated cooperation, of multiple drivers in the double drive thru lane, to back out of the space. Then you're stuck for the ride until you can bail out of the drive thru lane. Ugh. At peak times, the drive thru lane is ridiculously long. It's not an uncommon sight to see a queue of cars stretching out onto Old Placerville Road. This location is the only In and Out location in Folsom. Staff are great but not car valets. I swear it's not worth stopping here anytime the line that takes 40 mins just to get my food. Maybe they need to hire more staff the workers look tired and for as long as the wait was I could see why my cheese fry took so long. On top of they barely filled the basket and it was soggy. I wouldn't say that this location is particularly less busy or has any unique experiences, but would advise that the drive-thru is often very crowded and splits into two "sub-lines". I've eaten here plenty of times and services have always been great. The only down side here is parking lot specifically on friday or weekend evening. Its horrrific and the entrance where the stop sign is the BIG issue. People doing drive through will block the exit and thats the way i use to g out. They were friendly, but service is extremely slow and they didn't finish my order. I guess since they were busy the person at the register forgot to give me a cup that went with my combo? Had to wait for a different person to be available to get my drink after showing my receipt. It took almost 20 minutes for my order to be ready! This has been the longest time I've waited at an In-N-Out, how many minutes was it again to get the meal free? I asked for well done fries. The fries weren't even crispy! Did they rush it, abandon the well-done fries and just give me normal fries? Heck, I wouldn't mind if the fries were burnt. I think my friend ordered their animal style fries, but what he got were just normal fries... The parking is also not great. While it did not take long to order and the wait was pretty reasonable for the sheer amount of people inside and outside, I was disappointed in my order. I asked for an animal cheeseburger with extra chilies to which there was no sauce or chillies on the burger. It tasted great but missed what I explicitly asked for.
