I heard Firehouse Subs had a Thanksgiving sub and had to get one. I was obsessed with The Bobbie from Capriotti's which closed over a year ago. I went to the drive thru and didn't see it on the menu so I asked if they had a Thanksgiving sub and it was still available! The attendant was friendly and pleasant to interact with. Plan to wait a bit for hot subs. Another person gave me my sub and they were very friendly as well. When I went to eat my sub 10 minutes later, it was still warm and oh so good! The turkey on its own is drier than I'd like, but with the stuffing and cranberry sauce it hit the spot. I couldn't taste if there was mayo on the sub but did see a little in it. Without success I tried MULTIPLE times over the course of a week to use the Firehouse Subs App to place an order using their PROMOTED "50% Off Everything after 8pm" offer. Everytime the restaurant blamed the App and said there was nothing they could do about the issue. Without success I have called and sent messages to Firehouse Subs' Corporate Office MULTIPLE times over the course of a week and NEVER got a response. Today (08/03/2026) I stopped and talked to one of the co-owners of the 5557 28th St. SE, Cascade, MI location. The co-owner again tried to blame CORPORATE and the App for the problem. As the conversation progressed, the co-owner let slip that her brother/co-owner manages the App's offers and has the ability to turn offers on and off. And to quote her to the best of my ability, she said: "my brother looks at how business has been on a given day and if business has been good and we don't need the business, he turns the offer off" (meaning that he disabled the offer, leaving customers hanging while unsuccessfully trying over and over again to USE to App's "50% Off Everything After 8pm" Offer. If they are NOT WILLING TO HONOR THEIR SPECIAL OFFERS... THEY DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS. I was a regular, however, knowing what I know now, I will NEVER GO BACK !!! read more

Food was good. I was missing an item from a pick up order and didn't realize it was gone until I got to the office. I tried calling but the phone line kept sending me to a corporate phone service. The phone service even tried calling the location and no one would answer. The location is roughly a 20 minute drive in the wrong direction but the office guys really wanted this for lunch. Needless to say, I never received a call back from the location. Each location is franchised so getting your money back or at least the food you paid for is at the discretion of each location. I ordered two sandwiches - meatball sub and honey ham sub. My husband picked them up and brought them to a local motel we are staying at. First time I have ever ordered from Firehouse subs. The ham sub was bread, meat and cheese cold. No condiments or vegetables as ordered!! Meatball sub was fine. I tried calling and got no answer. It's 1:00 pm on a Friday. After trying various ways to contact them via phone and internet I finally got someone to answer. His response - being the sandwich back and they will add stuff to it. Not the best expression of a Firehouse I've ever seen but I'm also a long way from home where they all got started. So they were an emerging chain back when I was in school in Jax and St. Auggy and by the time I graduated and made it back home to Orlando they were pretty much popping up everywhere!! Good for them too because they can be pretty good; just not so much this time around. In fact, this experience is really a three from me but I leveraged it up for old-time sake. They got my order wrong. Basically, wanted the turkey original or smoked turkey breast sandwich fully involved delete mustard and tomatoes add 2 ounces of salami. ...but what I ended up getting is the turkey bacon ranch add salami, which I don't care for so much. This has happened to me twice now. Anyway, and of course, the usual Freestyle woes were going on. Low to no ice and had to pour off two or three different sodas before finding one that wasn't flat or poorly mixed. read more

I recently visited firehouse and had a terrible experience. I walked in the store it was nice and clean i waited in line to order, I was greeted by this younger women who come to find out her name was faith. As I stepped up to take my order faith giggled and rolled her eyes trying to cover her laugh with her hand, I'm not sure why she did this but it could be because of my facial defect. Faith then proceeded to take my order well laughing at me when I requested dietary restrictions whilst shaking her head when I simply asked to take some of the toppings off of my sandwich. This already made me uncomfortable and feel very very judged she finished taking my order and I sat down to the closet table to the sub making station whilst I was waking I kept hearing remarks of such like "fucking land whale" "how can they eat this" and worst of all " I would kill myself if I looked like that" I tried my hardest to hold back my emotions and hold myself together but tears streamed down my face as this extremely rude young girl said such such painful things about something I can't control. as she called out my name and laughed at me and again rolled her eyes I asked her for her name because I was very upset and she said faith with a very snotty and condescending tone as if I were a young child.I'm not sure as to why she had to be so incredibly rude to me but it ruined my day and made me incredibly self conscious. If your reading this managers please teach this young woman how to treat people kindly and not to make fun of someone's appearance that they can't change, if she continues to act like that please fire her as she deserves it in the first place but I pray she finds help and changes her behavior as it was extremely offensive, as a father I would never let my daughter act like this. I'm extremely frustrated after visiting this location nearly 2 weeks ago. The manager on duty was unable to figure out how to use a Firehouse Subs gift card on a transaction, nor to check the balance in store. The app also offers no way to apply a gift card to an order. Furthermore, there is no way on the Firehouse Subs website to check your gift card balance, and after completing the contact form, I have still not yet heard a response. There is no way to contact anyone other than through the contact form on the corporate website. It feels fraudulent to sell a gift card and not have any way to redeem it. Unfortunately, I have nothing to say about the food, as I was unable to get my food, due to the employees not knowing how to apply a gift card payment to an order. read more

Despite the 3star ratings, since it was close we thought we'd give them a try. This is not a one star review because the subs weren't half bad. However, we ordered by phone, speaking to a live person requesting that we could pick up our order at a designated time an hour in the future. At the expected time, there was no one at the drive through window; waited 5 minutes and even tooted my horn once. Then went inside. There were three employees, all without masks, chatting away. Since I was the only other person in the place, understandable. I went to the the counter to pick up the order made an hour before.... " It'll be 10 minutes. Would you like something to drink?" I get to the store and they said the order didn't print out so they refused to make my food, even after I showed them the receipt and my credit card statement showing it was charged. They told me to use the contact us section on the app. So I did that. It took them 6 days to send me an email saying they can't help and that I need to speak to the store manager or owner. It's been 8 days now and I still have not got my food I paid for, and, or no refund. Stay away from firehouse subs and the app. read more

This place makes excellent subs and the crew is very friendly. The reason I am giving a one star review as we ordered for sandwiches and when I got home to open them we realized three of the four were completely wrong. We were able to pick things we didn't want off two of them but one of the subs was completely an edible because it had mayonnaise all over it and we specified no mayonnaise twice. A minor inconvenience and waste of money is that they put a bunch of pickle spears at the bottom of the bag. None of us have any interest in ever eating a pickle spear. Stopped here for lunch today and tried out their salads for the first time. I usually stick with the Hook and Ladder, but I fugured Id try something new. I got the Hook and Ladder Salad with Italian dressing. Upon receiving the salad I noticed how large it was for $8!!! There were so many veggies, from cucumbers, green peps, tom and hot peppers. The lettuce is ALL romaine! Not the iceburg lettuce like a lot of other restaraunts have. The salad was very good with a fresh taste! I didnt have to put any dressing on it had so much flavor! The bathroom was out of soap, there were no customers but the store was filthy. We ordered and my wife had to ask the cashier for a rag so she could wash a table down for us. The employee gave her one without offering to help or seeming to think anything of it. Again, only customers there at the time... I thought Fire House was OK. I have been at other locations and I am never overly disappointed nor overly impressed. I like the sub it was the Engineer. I got extra jalapenos on it. The meat was fairly generic and toppings were fresh. I do like the vast array of hot sauces available to try. They have a numbering system to help warn those that cannot handle the heat, which I thought was a good public service. I did have to wait a bit for my food despite being the only pending order, that I didn't quite understand but I am a patient man. The price seemed a little much for what I got out of it. read more

What I have had in the past was OK, as long as there was not any of there soggy, fatty, not very well cooked bacon. Sometimes I would just drive off though in the winter as it got cold waiting a long time at the drive up with the window down waiting to order. Lately, it's been even worse. Twice in a row I drive up to order and am told it will be ten minutes before I can even order since they are extremely short staffed. I go across the street at Panera and have no problem. We went to pick it up and the 5 teenagers behind the counter didn't have anything ready and were extremely unhelpful. We ordered combos and had to ask for our cups. I got the drinks and my husband waited another 10 minutes for the subs. When we got our order home, none of the subs were made correctly and didn't follow what we requested to remove. I had so many onions on my sub that when I took them off I was left with a mayo sandwich. They also didn't include the chips for my son's order and put in the wrong soup. Did not have good experience. Management needs to get their stuff together and better train there employees. Would try again if I knew they would provide better service. Subs were sloppy, had wrong toppings & orders were mixed up (the extra items requested were put on the wrong sub).
