I so wanted to like this place! I miss the old Sub Shop and don't like driving all the way to Jersey Mike's for a good sandwich. Honestly Subway is better. The meat here was really good, problem is they put VERY little on the sandwich along with hardly any sauce. Normally I ask for extra lettuce (I did not here) but this place felt like that was all I was eating. Due to other reviews I was expecting the cost which was quite spendy. Hopefully they get into a groove and get better. I will try again in 6 months (if they last) when they are more established. read more

So I went to the store. They have a Jamaican or jerk turkey sandwich. I asked for it without the spicy crap. Because I wanted to omit the seasoning, the store wanted to charge me a higher price. The owner is a complete idiot to turn away a sale over 40 cents to DOWNGRADE and LEAVE OFF an ingredient I did not want. Their motto: Eat what you don't want anyway, or go somewhere else. This place is great! The manager does a great job of keeping the restaurant in order. He doesn't make too much eye contact when I'm stoned either, which is great! They also have a coke machine that dispenses every delicious Coca Cola product! So if you like Pepsi you can get tf out. Sandwiches are amazing! Not as good as Jersey Mike's, but that's just my preference. Hot sandwiches vs cold cuts I'll choose cold cuts every time. Waaay better than giving jimmy johns money. Good food. 9/10 times my order is correct, but mistakes happen. Staff is usually good, but once in awhile you get one who's having a bad day. I have seen the cashier let her friend skip the line, but that doesn't reflect on the store as a whole. The owner has been known to work the floor himself and has always been amazing. read more

I asked the employee to change his gloves after he we outside before he made my sandwich. The manager gave me a hard time and told me that he was ok not to change his gloves. Anytime you leave the service counter all ways changes you gloves. read more

With Jimmy Johns, subway, and big town hero. Firehouse Subs has climbed to the top for a very good reason. The subs come in boxes (very well packaged) real bread not the crappy kind subway and Jimmy Johns uses and the flavors just pop in your mouth. They also have a coke flavor machine. You know the ones you see in movie theaters that have every coke flavor? Yeah that one. Orange, lemon, lime, vanilla, cherry. Literally every coke flavor. I got the engineer and my fiancé got a veggie. I will go again. read more

Cool "venue". I enjoy seeing all the fireman related propaganda. Respect! Clean environment. Pretty quiet when I was in there for a late lunch on a weekday. I placed my order and didn't realize the additional toppings I could add to the sandwich as it's not listed on the menu, but on a smaller sub menu (8.5" x 11" size). I think that should be up on the main menu as to avoid any confusion. She did ask me if that's all I wanted on the sandwich.. so that was my fault. The quality is pretty good, the service is good, the atmosphere is good. Soda machine has a plethora of flavors and choices including a Firehouse Limeade (sparkling or flat... get sparkling!) Overall, I would visit again and make sure to point out the extra available toppings to whoever I brought in with me. Not for vegetarians!! I asked for a veggie sandwich. When I was asked if I wanted sautéed mushrooms, I said yes... after that asking, if I had to pay extra.. the cashier said yes, it's an "add-on" price. To which I added but I'm not getting meat, why do I need to pay extra. He kept saying it was an additional cost, like he didn't understand what I was asking. I became frustrated because it's ridiculous to always pay extra for things when I'm clearly getting less. When I requested that he talk to management I saw that he was the franchise owner, great!, and still didn't budge on my substitution request... ridiculous. Thanks for taking care of your customers... even the vegetarians. I can't speak for the rest of the sandwiches, but was slightly put out. To the owner, please reconsider this stance--I am already paying the same price based on a medium size as any of the sandwiches that include meat... except I am NOT getting meat! Your margins for a vegetarian sandwich are through the roof comparatively. Was making the exception for veggie eaters to not pay extra for mushrooms really that hard to make? read more

My husband and I love Firehouse Subs. The subs are always good and the staff is friendly. We have met the owner and he is super friendly and almost always there when we come in, working alongside his staff. The restaurant is always clean and they have some some cool things for kids. I would recommend the New York Stemmer and the potato soup. read more

Before I say something nice... We ordered online. I arrived after the "ready time". I walked in and saw two signs, one that said order, and the other for online and phone pickup. I went and stood under the second sign.... waiting.. The young girl behind the counter finished taking a gentleman's order, looked at me, IGNORED me, and took the next order. I'm standing directly under the sign that says online order pickup. After she takes the second order she looks over at me and asks if I have a question... Seriously!? I'm standing under this sign with cash in my hand having ordered online so that I wouldn't have to wait. I told the child that I had an online order, and she said that it's all the same line. Before I could get upset, the next gentleman in line told me to go ahead.... So I paid for my no longer hot sandwich, paid for part of that man's order and left. Aside from the condescending teenager behind the counter, and the apparently pointless second sign hanging from the ceiling, the food is really pretty decent, if not a bit spendy. read more

Absolutely love this place. I love Jersey Mikes, loved Quiznos and hate Subway. This place fills the void of Quiznos in my heart with their warm, cheesy sandwiches. I get the Hook and Ladder with provolone. So good. My husband has tried their meatball, the steamer, the engineer and club on a sub. Every single one was amazing. Hint: add some of their hot sauce to the meatball. Omg. So delish! I am a picky turkey eater - I hate gamey tasting turkey and this place has some of the best turkey and ham I have ever had. First time at Firehouse subs today! I had a hard time finding it due to myself putting in the wrong address lol I finally found it (it's in the Gresham Village Promenade) next door to Outback! I walked in and it was a nice crowd, it was kind of confusing on where to form the line.... So I just viewed the menu from the side then ordered. I must say they are VERY expensive for a sub shop. I highly suggest they lower their prices. Waaaay overpriced oh my! I ordered a Medium Steak & Cheese.. One thing I didn't like was that they didn't ask if you want anything on your sandwich besides what already comes on the sandwich. So I just proceeded and waited. I do like how they actually hand you your food, and thank you for coming which is always a plus. I would like to also see when they're making my sandwich as well... There's a well that blocks that view. Overall my sandwich was tasty, it could have a been a little bigger for a medium but overall it was nice.
