    Pretty sand which
    Tracie S.

This sucks because it was a beautifully put together sandwich and as a first responder, I want to support first responders. I was coming home from a very long shift and wanting to eat the dinner, breakfast and lunch I missed while working. The place was nice, not busy, around 2pm. Only two tables were sat. There were two ladies at the counter and a small huddle of employees in the back going over information. I ordered a medium turkey bacon sandwich with no onion. I had her read the order back, confirming no onion. She told the sandwich maker the order and again stated no onion. Afterwards, to be clear, I stated it was an actual onion allergy, to close the loop of communication. She nodded in acknowledgement and said there would be no onions on my food. I checked the chips for a non onion chip (salt and vinegar is my safe bet) I received the order very quickly. It had a tag that said no onion on the bag. I walked to my car and almost double checked the order. I second guessed myself with triple communication and the place was efficient and should care about food safety. I drove the rest of the 30 minute commute home go enjoy my meal prior to a long awaited nap... when I opened the box, my throat started to tighten and immediately coughed. I knew there was a problem. Freshly cut onions ALL over the sandwich. I circled back to receipt to make sure it was ordered correctly. When I called to let the manager know, she was nice, never asked if I ate the sandwich, never asked if I was okay. Offered me a gift card or refund. I am taking refund. The sandwich has to go in the bin outside. If you look at prior reviews, I cannot in good faith give any review but a one star review for any food safety risk. If you don't have an ingredient allergy, I would imagine this would be a lovely place to have a meal.

We came here on a deal because we happened to be in the area. The place is really pretty nice inside and clean. Staff were really friendly and fast. Got a hook and ladder and thought it was pretty tasty, had good flavor. Also went with the chicken and dumpling soup. Don't get me wrong, it was a good soup, but I kind of wish I'd tried the chili instead. It did seem a little pricey for a simple sandwich compared to other places, but the specialty ones sound really delish and for those the prices seem in line.

This sad sandwich sported a flacid pickle spear.

Ok let me start by saying when I get offered free food, I say thank you. Today at work my manager treated EVERYONE with their choice of sandwich (notice I didn't say "Sub" or "Grinder"?) from Firehouse Subs. There is a reason for that. My boss handed me a small little paper take out box. Inside was one of the saddest looking steak and cheese sandwiches I had ever seen. Now I always thought that these sandwiches were supposed to be good enough for people who fight fires. It is my opinion that any firefighter would take one look at this sandwich and laugh. If you want a "real" steak sandwich, you should try the Chipotle Steak and cheese sandwich from Jersey Mikes. Now that is a sandwich

First time trying out firehouse and the hot sandwich tasted fresh and delicious! I ordered the Turkey that had mushrooms in it and omg who would've though to add mushrooms into sandwiches? It was really good! I also love the fresh bread, it was soft and tasty. Can't wait to try the others next time.

The Italian - this was one fine sandwich!

These subs are some of my favorites! They are consistently delicious and, after trying several different ones, I can say that each one I have had has been terrific. My family and I drive through Gresham about once a month from Spring to Fall and we always make it a point to stop here...both directions. :) My entire family loves their sandwiches and are always excited when we stop. We tend to order ahead through the app so we can just swing in and grab the food without waiting in line. It definitely has saved us some time as there have been several occasions where the line was out the door. Don't worry though, whether you order online or in-store you won't be disappointed. Their sandwiches are worth the wait.

Smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket combo with a cookie, too.

I was basically dragged here on a team lunch event, based on a previous visit at a different location having served among the worst "food" I'd ever had. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location is markedly better than the other, good enough where I won't mind going if the opportunity presents itself again. My smokehouse beef brisket was very tender, but also very fatty. The bread was fresh and flavorful, and the barbecue sauce was not overly sweet as it tends to be at most chains. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the establishment is clean. Prices seem a bit high for portion size and quality.

    New York steamer

I picked up my Birthday sandwich, New York steamer on wheat bread with side of pickle, workers were nice and polite. Wheat bread was soft , good portion of corn beef brisket and pastrami. I added hot sauce for more favor.

    To go with my review.

We were surprised that this was a fusion restaurant and the empanadas had more of a Syrian twist Sambusek (so?). What luck to enjoy such delicious food. We started with the cauliflower cashew soup. It was rich, smooth and flavorful. The flatbread served on the side was warm and filling. We then tried the chicken tikka empanadas. Different from the Salvadoran styles we have tried in the past. It was full of mead that was moist but not greasy. I later found out that the beef empanadas and the cheese empanadas were more traditionally Syrian. They also were delicious and the dipping sauces were great. Lastly the Summer Salad was fresh, unique with candied pistachios, peaches, avocados and whatever else was fresh. The dressing was tasty. The owner was friendly, helped with suggestions and welcoming. We will definitely be back. I'm just sad that it is not located where we live in Sonoma County California. I really enjoyed Sugarpine Drive-in! I got several items, including the seasonal Mauna Loa sundae…read more(added matcha magic shell and miso caramel sauce), the grab and go Wagyu bologna sandwich, and a cup of the heirloom tomato soup. We brought our water bottles, so we didn't have to buy any drinks, but the drinks look really good! They have a thorough beer, cider, wine, menu, and really cute frozen margs. Anyway, I was really happy with everything I ordered the sundae was so good! You can tell that they put a lot of care into the ingredients they make, like the macadamia-oat brittle was full of ingredients and brought a fun texture and a lot of flavors to the sundae. The chocolate magic shell had kind of coffee in it, which was a fun, tiny crunch and another good flavor. The Thai tea whip was the " cherry on top." I highly recommend adding the miso caramel sauce and Matcha magic shell! So yummy! Just as I said with the sundae, the sandwich and tomato also seemed to have quality ingredients. The tomato soup was delicious, but the flavor was gorgeous with the roasted tomatoes and chive oil, though a bit rich. I definitely finished it, but I do think that having some of my sister's grilled cheese to dip into it was more appropriate than eating it on its own. The sandwich I got had the softest milk bread and was just a classic deli sandwich, but you can tell that again, they used quality ingredients. I felt like I got my money's worth for everything I paid for. The parking situation was great, we parked in the overflow lot across from the establishment. There was a five dollar charge, and if you show your receipt when returning to your vehicle, they gave you a refund. Waiting in line wasn't terrible, we waited maybe 15 minutes? The only thing is that they have a ramp leading to the patio and a long line is inevitable, and the ramp is narrow, so if somebody wants to pass through with a stroller or a wheelchair, everybody on the ramp has to move off to let them through. When we got up to the front to order, something happened with their system, and they had to pause orders for a couple minutes, which didn't bother me, but I could see how maybe that might bother someone else. Either way, they were very nice throughout the wait. There are a lot of people there seemingly throughout the day, and we had a group of five adults and four kids, but we were able to find a picnic table with enough room easily. The picnic tables are also nicely set up with good canopies and the table itself felt pretty clean Lots of Instagrammable foods and photos op spaces.

The situation is like this, they really don't have their own parking at all. You have to pay for parking at the nearby park which is also where the bathrooms are. However, you can skip all this by going through the drive through, but it is a bit chaotic as you try to follow all the signs on how to get into the drive through, but be extra careful as kids and adults are paying attention and walk into the drive thru lane without looking. Since there is a wait for the drive through, they are smart to have QR codes to look at the menu while you are in line. They do have done picnic table setups for sitting down but also some tables inside Sugarpine. I think we waited about 10 min on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't so bad of a wait. They do warn you that they serve a 20% service fee on top of your order. However, I don't understand why. I got no table service. Basically a guy took my order and handed me my ice cream cup. I usually give 20% for real table service. Not sure if this is one of those charges they use to give the employees certain benefits? It was unclear to me. I'll be honest, I was very disappointed in the soft serve offerings. It was chocolate or vanilla or a swirl but there was a plant based offered that is a little more which is a bit more interesting. We got one chocolate vanilla swirl and one blueberry ube kids cup (5 oz) The had coconut vanilla as well, but I did not try it. I paid my just over $10 charge which wasn't too bad, but since there is no place to eat these I drove into downtown Troutdale to Harlow Park where it is free to park and plenty of covered tables. While I enjoyed my soft serve, it wasn't really anything special to me that I couldn't find in other Portland locations. In fact, I've had better. I do appreciate the family run business and the local kids that work there, I think it is a great thing, but honestly toss lace seems best for a stop on the way back from a day at the Gorge, else I won't go out of my way for it. Nothing wrong with it as I said, it tasted fine, but it did t blow my mind either. I did not get to try their BBQ offerings so I can't speak for that but it did small good. I know that have $10 offerings for dessert that have toppings and such but for me the base or foundation of it all is more important to me.

It was served on an egg white coated brioche bun which gave it a somewhat leathery texture on the outside, soft on the inside. It came with a pickle slice, one tomato slice, a lettuce leaf, a slice of cheddar cheese, a tiny dollop of mayonnaise (you must ask for a side of ketchup and/or mustard), and the single most boring tasting burger I have had since the little league game I went to last summer. No juice. No flavor. The patty was not hot and tasted as if it were sitting in a warmer for 30 minutes before we came in. The burger came with fries (which we all agreed were the best part of our meals) and it cost $16. NO MILKSHAKES OFFERED, which given the theme of the restaurant is just a horrible oversight. I cannot imagine this place lasting long. So forgettable most people will likely only come here once out of curiosity, then go back to their favorite greasy, oozy, flavor-packed cheeseburger spot for a real burger.
