Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Today an employee walked out leaving at least 3 employees to run the restaurant (I saw at least 3 different ones) and yet it took over half an hour (1 car in front of me) . I get that it would take a bit longer than normal but 30+ minutes? Any other sandwich shop typically runs through a line of 5-10 customers in 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately this place has always been slow on a "good" day, so today's surprise must have really taken them off their game. They had no problem holding me hostage by taking my payment (the full amount) and then he disappeared... yet the sandwich I got home with was not complete. The Hook and Ladder only had ham and nothing other than lettuce on it. Also no pickle. Iced tea had no ice. I wished the guy at the window good luck and I meant it - he was stressed and probably doing his best in a sandwich shop with low expectations by the "leadership." But the owner and/or manager of this sandwich shop desperately needs to provide training for employees how to work a line sandwich shop. If you're lacking a place to start, at a minimum go to another line restaurant and take notes. read more

We usually stop here once a month, sometimes more. I ordered an Italian Chicken Salad, the picture is what the letter looked like underneath all of the toppings. I called and asked to speak to the manager. Lydia was extremely rude on the phone. I told her that the lettuce on my salad was black, brown and withered. She then raised her voice to tell me that the lettuce is fresh, green and crisp. When I replied, "Ma'am I'm looking at the salad right now." She then yelled "Well bring it back with the receipt!" I sure did drive 15 minutes back to the store. I'm sure people lie all the time about bad food, so I understand bringing the item back. Driving home one evening I tried to order at the drive through and sat for at least 5 minutes w/out being answered. I drove past the window and noticed two of the employees talking to each other. So I drove around front and the lights were off on exterior building. I thought they must be closed. But I could see someone so went in and was totally ignored. I left. I decided to try again a few weeks later. The same thing happened again. And just now I was attending a special event with my grandaughter and her friends. They begged for Firehouse subs ( 18 to 20 girls) My son and I drove through and it didn't get acknowledged again !! I've been in the Hotel and restaurant business for 50 years and have never seen such a blatant sabotage of ones franchise. I promise two things. #1 I will never eat at this location again. # 2 This Franchise will change owners within 4 to 6 months. Absolutely the worst WORST worst firehouse subs I have ever been to! Went there and they were closed at least 30 minutes early, no note or anything. I've been to this location a few times over the last month and it has gotten worse, not better. Let's start off that I've been dieting for some time now. Yesterday I decided to splurge a little bit and give myself a treat. Walked in and was instantly greeted by two or three people, standard fare for a firehouse. This building is newer and pretty clean. More clean than most chain restaurants. The person who took my order was polite and welcoming. Asked for my name and called me by it until he dropped off my food for me. It's the little things. Decided to have a small Italian and a cup of chili with a drink 7 bucks. Not bad! It came out in around 5-7 minutes. So pretty fast! The bread was perfect! They toast their sandwiches to the point where it's warm, but not crunchy like a quiznos. It was delicious! The chili was okay I guess. The vegetables are rough cut, so thicker than I am used to. But wasn't bad either. They use the Coke machine where it has 200 + combinations. So had a cherry limeade and completed the trifecta to destroy a diet. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. This place had gotten better since my last review, but it's now back to the poorly managed restaurant it once was. Pulled up to the the place around 8:00 on Saturday night only 1 car in the parking lot and none in the drive-thru, so I pull in to order and about 15 seconds go by and they say hold on please, about 3-4 minutes go by and they ok hello, and I say yeah, and they say welcome to Firehouse subs can I take your order. So anyway I place my order and it takes over 10 minutes to make 1 sandwich, meanwhile 3 cars are behind me at this point. I asked the guy to make sure they put in a pickle wedge as the forget about half of the time I go there, some other person brought me the sandwich and when I checked before pulling away there was none, so I told that guy y'all forgot the pickle again! So he went a put one in a smaller box and gave it to me. When I got to the house this is what They gave me! I went back the next day and asked for a manager and they all looked at each other like who wants deal with this guy and some young black guy says he is, so I told him about my experience and showed him the pickle, get this, all he asks " do I want another pickle?" It's a shame that that you have to be at an empty fast food restaurant for nearly 20 minutes to have an experience like this! I am unsure what is going on as of late with this firehouse subs but I doubt my wife and I will ever return to it. We pulled into the drive thru which always has been somewhat slow but this time the woman who took our order decided to be very rude to use. The whole time we were giving the order she was short with us and gave the impression she would be anywhere but there. Then when we pulled up we waited 5-10 min with no one coming to take our card or give us our drinks or anything. After sitting there in the driveway for abit long we decided to just leave. I went inside thinking that the drive-through would take longer due to a line but I saw them send out nine drive-through orders before they finally sent out one inside order. Went here tonight against my better judgement. Used to go there and stopped because the order is always wrong even when you make them repeat it and the receipt is what you asked for. They can never get a simple order right. One damn meal and the sandwich is wrong as usual. Don't bother complaining, they offfer no compensation for having to drive 8 miles back. We go to Firehouse because of the great sandwiches. The one on Spring Cypress and 249 really didnt do a good job last nite. Where's the beef!! We got home and they looked like Subway....really...If I wanted Subway I would have gone there. Both premium roast beef sanwiches looked like they made both with the meat of one !!! A new guy was at the register and was slower than normal, but not a huge deal, it happens and people have to get trained. It wasn't busy but our food took a while to get out and with 8 of us. For example, once the first sandwich came, it took 5 full minutes to get everyone's food. However, everyone's food was good and we had no complaints. I did not like the standing tubs of tea in the drink area, and the completely full catch basin under one of the tea containers.
