Love the crisp veggies on my Whataburger. Yum!! If u get the app, they give u specials all the time. Today I was there because of if I bought a med fry and med drink I got a free Whataburger. It was very good. The staff greeted me when I walked in and it was less than a minute before they came to take my order. My to go order was ready in about 8 min. It's very casual here. You can dress In shorts, jeans or a prom dress. I think a lot of high school kids go here after dances. After my great niece had her baby, the first thing she wanted was a Whataburger to regain her strength before seeing visitors. Good job her husband brought her one. We don't have Whataburger in CA but everyone kept telling me I "had to" try it and that it's a quintessential Texas experience. It's alright. I've definitely had far worse. Pros: - patties are bigger than most fast food places - they offer up a variety of non-burger items Cons: - at the core, it's still just a fast food burger - who still uses styrofoam cups? My friend who lives in TX told me that recipes had changed after owners changed and that it wasn't quite as good as it used to be so maybe I'm just a day late and dollar short? Edna, the woman whose glasses have a beautiful, thick, black frame, is holding the morning crowd down! Came in this morning and was amazed by her ability to keep the flow of orders going, communicate with the kitchen, and update customers waiting for their orders. She had the most wonderful attitude and had everyone smiling. This is so important for morning crowds, because everyone is on their way to work or to start their day. When someone shows initiative at their job and charisma it helps every customer start their day in high spirits. She is so important to the vibe at that whataburger, qnd I hope she is compensated for the success she contributes to. The food was of course good. Today seemed to impose a problem. I'm charged for an extra gravy and a cinnamon roll and toast but I did not receive an extra gravy or cinnamon roll and toast. My son had to go in to get an order of the toast and a cinnamon rolled that was ordered before hand and was not placed in the bag. and there was no box for the chicken strip dinner. The chicken strips had more fat than chicken. Needless to say, by the time my son got home with the food, the food was no longer hot due for the wait on the other items not given with the rest of the food. It took over 10 minutes to receive the order when other places get it to their customer in 3 minutes. Management did a horrible job organizing its employees and work ethics. Do not go here and use bills larger than $20. They will steal your money. I went on valentines around 8:30 in the drive through. I gave them a $100 to break it so I could have change. My total was $22 and some change. So doing basic math my change should've been around $75-$78. They gave me $36 back. I didn't realize until I got home so I guess it's my fault right? But I guess whoever took my order needed a $40 tip. But today when I got off the only place open for food was whataburger, ordered ahead of time even and got there to a long line, so I just went Inside and asked if I could get my order here instead, wasn't ready, literally the app gave me a time frame it should be ready in and I was already 5 mins later than that.
