We ordered the Sour Diesel, the Fire, and the Afgoo, all on their toasted jalapeño cheese bread. First of all, the female employee who helped us was so friendly and welcoming. We do not eat out much, so we were genuinely excited and maybe a little impatient to try them. When they handed us the sandwiches, I immediately noticed how heavy they were. And the smell in the car on the way home, oh my goodness. Pure torture waiting to unwrap them. Then we got home and opened them up, and I was honestly shocked in the best way. There was actually a MEAL on that bread. Not one of those sad sandwiches that's 80 percent lettuce and air. These were loaded. My teenage son even commented on how good his was, and trust me, teen approval is not handed out lightly. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and each sandwich was totally unique and delicious. I can confidently say I have found a new favorite sub spot. Total hidden gem if you love a good sandwich that actually fills you up and tastes incredible. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. At the speaker, the barista repeated my order back correctly. When I got to the window, she told me the total, I paid, and then before handing me my drinks she informed me that they hadn't charged me for the second drink. I was confused because the total had already been around $10, so I asked how that could be if one drink hadn't been rung up. She explained that the price included all of the add-ons, but when I looked at the receipt on my phone, it wasn't clear at all. In fact, the receipt made it appear as though both drinks had already been charged. I was then charged a second time for the missing drink. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, many businesses will either honor the original total or apologize for the inconvenience when the mistake is on their end. Neither happened here. To make matters worse, after paying again, I was handed drinks that were incorrect, they were the wrong size and not what I had ordered. When I questioned it, the barista simply went back to what she was doing without apologizing or offering to fix the situation. After I left, I looked at the second receipt, and it also didn't make much sense. It's really unfortunate because my family spends a lot of money here. Between my kids getting Italian sodas and our coffee runs, we're regular customers. I usually enjoy the ambiance and the staff, however, was very disappointed with my experience. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling overcharged, with the wrong drinks, and like our concerns didn't matter.
