The menu was easy to read and the prices looked fair. The employees working were super nice, efficient, and enthuastiac to help. BUT most importantly, the chicken Bahn Mi I ordered and DEVOURED was TO DIE FOR. It was one, if not the BEST, Bahn Mi I have ever ate. The portion was perfect, the bread crusty and soft all at the same time, the protein plentiful, and veggies all fresh and of high quality. I brought the sandwich back to my work place and all of my co-workers were drooling and we are planning on a run next week for them to all try it as well. I will absolutely be back. Always good sandwiches according to her. So it was, with my meatball sub - hot, properly saucy with even a little kick. They didn't skimp out on the cheese either which was noticeably popping out of the sandwich with each bite. Date had her go-to turkey sub. We took them to go and, in my case, getting a hot sub it stayed warm. I'd definitely put this above Subway. The restaurant itself was spacious and looked clean enough. We ordered ahead and it was ready in the 15 minutes it took to get there. It was good to check out a local favorite sandwich shop. This particular Meconi's is amongst a strip mall development that looks like it's continuing to grow.

There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk.
