Taco salad does not come in a shell like the picture posted on Yelp shows. The deli is so good and consistent. The soup of the day and the chowder are both amazing! The onion rings are also amazing! The only two real critiques that I have is when you order a salad as an entree (think cobb) you get gross packets. The dressing makes the salad and this is why I never order salads from here anymore... They should provide restaurant dressing for an extra charge. Most people would buy it. I always thought it was weird that the deli provides hidden valley ranch packets when they have so many fried items. They can't get ranch in a dipping cup? Or or them into ramekins manually? I assume it would be cheaper In the end and you're already doing it with salsa, tartar sauce, etc I'm also really bummed that they removed the Asian Chicken Salad from the menu because that was the best! It's the only one that comes with actual delicious dressing too! Now that the river water has orange sesame dressing for their seasonal salad, couldn't you put the Asian chicken salad back on the menu though? It's just chicken strips and salad that you already have and I'm sure you can scrounge up some Mandarin oranges and almond slices or wontons LOL! Even just a dry chow mein noodle or crunched up top ramen would be delicious. read more

Out Harley riding and heard they had a new food court. Thot i wud check it out. Got $10 free slot money for joining the casino VIP. Asked the slot lady for a machine with motorcycles. She took me to the Hog Machine. I won $79.80. Came into the Coho Bar and ordered a prime rib dip with tots. Was good. Aujus cud have been a little stronger. Overall good lunch. My wife and I stopped in for a to go dinner Saturday night after a long night of somewhat successful gambling at the Red Wind Casino. The deli is very clean, Located in the casino, and newly remodeled. There was a manager in charge working her tail off around 10 pm. Friendly service, nice smile, and focused. The food is cheap! And hot and fresh and fucking delicious. We had the hamburger, fries, chowder, grilled cheese and a cob salad. The salad was so fresh! The bacon on the burger was tasty. Your fish and chips you offer is nasty and the fish isn't cod at all nor does it taste like cod. I just ate here this evening and was thoroughly disgusted with how the food tasted overall and the sour tasting clam chowder. I'll not be back nor do I intend to eat at the medicine creek deli in the future I'll go somewhere else. You really need to bring back the all you can eat buffet. read more

Maybe a 3.5. Good food in the middle of nowhere. Parking is standard casino parking garage. Had the Ruben my pal had the clubhouse. I traded 1/2 mine for his and mine was so so. His was delish. Cafe style restaurant. Order at the counter. They have daily specials. Open super late (3am). Not a big fan of the fries. They were super greasy and I am not a fan of the battered fries anyway. Prompt service. Make sure you order condiments besides ketchup and mustard early. read more

Terrible food! Just straight up terrible. Asked for medium rare steak and got well done. That is a big difference in temperature. This used to be a great place for a quick bite, but the staff don't seem to care any longer. The cashier dropped our change on the counter without counting and we had been shortchanged here before and the cashier didn't call a manager or anything. The dining room was pretty full with 9 people with numbers. Three cashiers at the counter, one hassled my husband over asking for forks- when he asked for another she said "yeah", the same one made an elderly woman with a walker who had been in the seating area walk to get her food after yelling at her "I don't know where here is!". While waiting for our food I also heard her yell "I'm in your drawer!" This is so disorganized. I am so disappointed. It used to be so much better... Tables were dirty. read more

We were looking for a quick inexpensive meal while at Nisqually Red Wind Casino. Didn't want to spend the money at their "fancy" restaurants because we were conserving money for GAMBLING. Also didn't want to stuff ourselves at their buffet. Their Medicine Creek Deli was just right, with a menu of sandwiches, burgers, and light meals. My friend ordered fried oysters, which she had not seen at any other casino delis before. I had a Reuben sandwich. We both had clam chowder, and I also was unable to resist a piece of chocolate cake. Especially nice was that we were able to pay for our meals with the Player's Club points we had accumulated. All that food was good, and just hit the spot. I also need to especially mention the clam chowder. . .outstanding with lots of chunks of ingredients in the creamy and delicious chowder. read more

I'm not a gambler and only go here to visit the deli or buffet. Their food here is super cheap! And if you have points on your club card, then you can get the food for 50% off!! My favorite to get here is the BLT with avocado. You get to choose the kind of bread you like along with the side, I usually get onion rings. read more

After a night of losing money, a person does not deserve to lose even more on horrible food at high prices, or lose their patience trying to get someone's attention for a menu! But that's just what happened here on my first visit! Even with my glasses on from 6 to 8 feet, their menu on the wall was so small I couldn't read most of it! I had to squint to barely read it, but gave up. I asked if they had a menu I could look at because I was having trouble reading the small print on the wall. The lady said I could look at a menu in the bar. BIG MISTAKE! Send me into a noisy bar with a live band and a thousand loud, drunken gamblers on a Friday night? OMG! Well, figuring I had no choice if I wanted a menu, I walked in and stood at the end of the bar right next to a customer. Oddly enough, two different employees waited on the guy and neither even looked at me and I was a foot away! So there I stood, waiting and waiting and waiting. After about 10 minutes, the customer got up from the counter and left so I sat in his seat, but yes, again I was ignored. Then after more than 15 minutes, I was forced to get up and go stand in the line that was forming for people to order their drinks. Well, this line moved about as fast as a snail on steroids. I finally gave up! I went back into the deli and just decided to order what I could read. Halibut & Chips. So now for the food issues: To begin with, theirs was the absolute WORST deep-fried fish of any kind I've ever been served!!! It was WAY OVERCOOKED! I mean, deep-fried halibut is NOT supposed to be rock hard and crunchy! This stuff was hurting my teeth! In fact I couldn't finish it. Their cooks need to eat fish & chips at someplace like Ivar's or Lighthouse in Aberdeen so they can learn how REAL halibut & chips should be cooked! My overpriced meal ($10.95) did come with soup or salad and garlic bread. And you guessed it... I made the wrong choice, I ordered the soup! It was bacon and potato (geez, how ingenious of whomever thought up this exotic recipe!). Clam chowder would have been better suited, especially with fish. And on Friday, clam chowder is a tradition in the restaurant industry. The soup? COLD! Well, maybe not actually cold but barely luke warm! I could stick my finger in the bowl and hold it there, which I actually did while joking about their awful food with the couple sitting next to me. They weren't happy with their meal either. What's worse than luke warm soup? Luke warm bacon & potato soup (served without crackers of course!). But believe it or not, I do have something GOOD to say: their french fries were AWESOME!!! That's right! They're those hand-cut ones with the skins still on them. The kind they put through the fry cutter thingy on the wall like I used to do when I was a dishwasher years ago. I love those fries! Skippers in Lacey serves them this way too. Yummy! Yep, I loved their fries here! I would have (and should have) ordered just a basket of fries and been happier! So all-in-all, my first visit to Medicine Creek Deli (certainly not my first visit to Red Wind though) was probably my last, unless I happen to be starving and want just fries. Heck, I can't read most of the menu anyway! Thankfully I know how to ask for an order of fries. And I'll be sure to tell all my gambling friends to avoid this place. Funny, the absolute best seafood fettuccine I've ever had in my life was eaten right there in another restaurant at Red Wind!!! I think it was at their Squalli-Absch Grill but I didn't think that was the name of it in 2009. How can one business have the best of one food a hundred feet away from the worst? My husband and I came in for a bacon cheese burger tonight 5/4/2018 . Not happy with the meal. The bacon was burnt and the burger over cooked. We didn't use club points we spent hard earned money . For the price you charge it would seam you could afford to hire a cook that knows how to cook a burger. Will not eat in here again. read more

The food used to be way better before the remodel. My husband and I split a turkey sandwich with fries. Turkey was so dry, very hard to swallow. Fries were cold. They only get 3 stars for the ice cream. It is very yummy and they are generous with the portions. read more

We come to this deli all the time and love it as our go to place when we are at the casino. But this time we had a terrible experience and felt the need to comment. I ordered a salad my room mate the steak sandwich medium well. We got our food on a fairly timely manner. The steak was red and still cold and fatty and looked pretty bad overall. We took it up to get redone because it was just way to rare. And we never take back food. Ever. She didn't even say sorry just oh that's not medium well that's medium rare? Well do you want us to remake it? She has the order remade. Our order finally came up the cook said remake done. The runner looked at the order several times but she was busy waiting for other orders. I finally went up after my roommate got frustrated watching her order sit in the service window. Then another guest who's order was not cooked right was offered apologies and chips or soup while he waited. We weren't really looking for any compensation just frustrating not even getting an apology and getting treated differently. We asked for a comment card but we were given the manager and he was able to make us feel better. But very disappointed with the experience. read more

I was recently in the Deli and I asked the gentelman who the cook was his name was NO PAK(I think thats how you spell it) . The food was excellent and He was very professional and neat in appearance... I asked to talk to him and thanked him for a great meal . He was very polite and nice to talk to. I believe its the people in the back that dont get enough praise for the work that they do because no one ever sees the chef or cook but it's them who make the meal great.
