T-mobile sent out a BOGO deal for Firehouse Subs which gives me a chance to try this franchise out as I have heard good things about them. My boyfriend and I made our order and it was pretty much made almost on time. They seemed to have a few online orders as well as in-person orders as there were a few people dining in and some waiting for their order. The inside was clean with plenty of tables and chairs for people to sit at to eat their food or wait. There was firefighter suit and equipment near the entrance which I thought was fitting. The staff here were friendly and professional, they would greet anyone who came in. We got the medium hook and ladder which was really good. I asked for extra lettuce, tomatoes, and onions but I feel like only the onions were extra as it looked the same as my boyfriend's which had no customizations. I love the careful construction of the sandwich as it didn't fall apart like Subway sandwiches. I also appreciate the hot sauce bar and it has changed my perspective of hot sauce on sandwiches which now I will be doing too! My boyfriend was also very impressed and even tempted to get another sandwich as he wanted to try one of the other sandwiches as he loved his so much. Now the issue with this experience was that I threw up and I had nothing else that day except this sandwich. I'm concerned if the quality of the vegetables or maybe the hot sauce caused this. Didn't expect this place is this good!!! I got the hook and ladder and my husband got spicy Cajun chicken. First thing I said when I took a first bite "Jersey Mike who?". It's that good. I feel like this will be our go to spot for sandwiches from now on. My sandwich I added garlic bread, and I could taste a hint of garlic bread and all the juice soaked up the bread, so better eat it quick. I took half of it home and the bottom bread is all wet after a couple hours. The whole place is fire department theme which is pretty cool! I will definitely come back for more again!!! read more

Super happy I missed the lunch rush today :) Their sandwiches seem to be getting smaller and smaller with less meat each time I come in, but they still have the best flavors and the most unique combinations. Been here twice for their French Dip Sub. Both visits yielded the best French Dip I have ever had......hands down. I am hooked! Perfectly cooked roast beef with reddish-pink centers. I signed up had my email got fifty percent off my first online order. Well it didn't work so I contacted them first it's give me 1000 points ok whoopy being you can't get anything without 8000 points and since they would not honor my fifty percent off then offered me 12000 points. Was still waiting for those points and contacted them again now like I'm some investigation they won't even give me the points for not giving me the fifty percent off. They were just totally nasty to me and refused to do anything else. Just piss poor customer service and I will never eat anything from any of their places nor will I recommend them to friends or family the way I was treated. Ridiculous and sad. This was my first time trying firehouse subs, I keep seeing their tv ads and decided to try their sweet and spicy meatball sub today and sadly I didn't take a picture of it because I was starving and just inhaled it.. sorry not sorry. It was seriously the most beautiful looking meatball sub I've ever had and tasted like a masterpiece too... think of the iconic scene of Meg Ryan in the movie When Harry Met Sally when she fakes an orgasm while eating the sandwich- except I wasn't faking ! ;) I loved the sweet and spicy pepper marinara sauce and really wish had I upgraded to the larger sub for $6 more now but I suppose there's always next time. When I'm in the mood to really pig out on some meatballs I'll be back and I'd like to try their Cajun chicken sub, chili and cherry limeade at some point too. Ordered a whole mess of subs for dinner last night and was surprisingly pleased with the sandwiches we received. We ordered a variety of hot and cold subs but my fiancé and I split a large meatball sub with cheese. The meatball sub was delicious! The bread was toasted well and it held up nicely to the hearty rich tomato sauce and the meat balls tasted like actual beef. The cheese was also surprisingly seasoned and melted completely. After a lot of poor experiences with chains such as Subways and Blimpie's, Firehouse subs really seems to focus on the quality of their subs which is nice to see. One thing I would say is while looking at their menu online it was clear to see that there weren't a lot of plain/ regular cold sub options apart from the tuna salad but if you're somebody who likes a lot of wacky toppings and fat subs, this is probably the chain you'd want to order from. If you also like spice, I saw they offered the sweet and spicy version of the meatball sub which is laced with hot sauce and pepper flakes. read more

Went into the store for my first time today. Typically I've had people pick up for me or deliver but today I just happened to have one of the first names for their name of the day appreciation special. They list a couple first names and if your ID matches one of those first names you get a free sub with a small qualifying purchase, which I chose to buy a brownie. The restaurant was extremely clean and inviting. I was especially impressed with one of the employees during my visit. I believe his name was Jamal or Possibly Jamar. But this guy greeted everybody who came in right away, was very talkative and helpful and just had great manners and customer service. After he finished making my go-to order he kindly came from around the counter and brought it into my table with a smile and thank you... that kind of customer service goes a long way, especially when you combine it with a great tasting sub at a great price. Personally I would think it would be difficult to join the sub business and make a sandwich that stands out but I believe these guys have done it. Everything tasted fresh and high quality and I couldnt find anything to complain about. The best part is that a portion of every sale made at Firehouse goes as donation toward their foundation which supports first responders to get new equipment and facilitate gaps in their budgets and in turn make our community more safe and properly equipped... if theres a sub shop that gets my vote for overall experience, taste, and customer service combined, this shop would win it Great work and keep it up team! read more

This place is overall a solid sub place if you're looking to get a warm sub.. the portions are SMALL and they charge you $8 for a medium and $11 for a large. The medium is half a foot long and is not that filling. I would not come here again unless someone else wanted to only because I am still hungry as I type this out.. so I'm on my way to get some more food. Anyway, I'll safely compare this place to subway and jimmy johns but more expensive for the amount. PROS: bread is good, soft and sub is warm, good parking lot, nice service CONS: expensive and small portions I will say that the bread is soft and chewy and makes it taste better.. they have sauces of all kind listed from 1-10 of spice level. Last week we ordered a small drink and it cost $2.00 when we got there the drink came in a baby cup, definitely not worth $2.00. I asked for a bigger cup but was told that was the $2.00 small cup. There was another girl who was at the prep station who was very rude to her co-worker. Asking her if she was going to actually work or just sit there gathering flies in her mouth. Very rude to your coworker, and to do it in front of myself and 2 other customers. Any self respecting manager would at least have her in for retraining, possibly let her go. The sandwich itself was just ok. Definitely not worth the $8.29 that I paid for it. I will make sure not to make the mistake of coming back to a place that allows co workers to talk to each this way and charge a high price for a average sandwich. Their hospitality is gracious, warm, and welcoming. The workers happily acknowledged us in unison and checked-in with us at our table. I liked the choice in sizing for the subs. The 4 inch sub is the perfect size for kids, a small snack or if you don't have a huge stomach. You can also choose half a sub or a whole. Went to the soft-opening of the new Firehouse Subs in Lakewood, and now I may never eat at Subway again. (Don't hate - the Subway Club is pretty good). Firehouse is legit sandwiches. And damn good ones. First, know that your food isn't going to be slapped together and is going to take some time (unless you order ahead online or by phone). It's made to order, but not pre-packaged like Subway, and you don't get to watch them make it. You can have it "loaded" which means they add lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, and mayo - all of that is customizable. Second, they have three sizes: small, medium, or large. Small is about 5ish inches, Medium is just shy of a foot. Didn't see large, but I can imagine it's well over a foot. Third, IT TASTES SO GOOD! They legit have thinly sliced deli meat. And a shit ton of it in there. They are not heavy on the lettuce like another place I could mention. I had so much meat in my small Hero, that I know I'll be full for a while. The bread was warm, the meat was warm, the cheese was nicely melted. Nom nom nom This place is 25 minutes from my house, but I'd come here again. Nicely done! read more

Finally tried this place and unfortunately, it was less than eventful and actually disappointing.... I was expecting the sandwiches to be really unique and worth the drive but sadly it was like a Subway sandwich that was left on the dashboard. I purchase the turkey on wheat and there was no uniqueness to ANY of the ingredients. The bread was generically soft and bland. The meat was mechanically processed and gelatinous. The vegetables were sparse and lacked flavor and to top it all off the whole sandwich was warmed up like it wanted to be Quiznos but it just wasn't. Overall, the facility was nice and the staff was friendly but unfortunately, this was the first and the last time I will be eating a Firehouse subway sandwich. Really Tasty Subs at a fair price! Was looking forward to eating here for quite sometime, the location is pretty busy part of Lakewood, right next to the Lakewood Town Center. Parking is plentiful. The first thing you notice when you enter in are all the firefighting touches, helmets, axes etc. The decor matches the ambiance of this sandwich place. You go up and order and they make the sandwiches give you a large number and they bring out your items to you. I had the Firehouse Steak and Cheese, which is a take on the Philly.
