I have had this place saved for a long while and my boyfriend had the opportunity to try it out. He has been raving about this place ever since and I told that he has to take me next time he goes there. We arrived here late morning and there was two people waiting for their order. We were greeted and asked if we were ready and it was good that the menu is pretty condensed and easy to read as I can be indecisive. I got their large Cheesy British warmed up with a side of their macaroni salad while my boyfriend got the Smokey Mountain small warmed up. The cashier was friendly and repeated our order back to ensure we got what we ordered. Once we paid, him and another employee got to work. They have a clean and well-maintained bathroom here, which was great as I did have messy hands after eating my sandwich. The interior here feels very homey with plenty of tables and chairs, tall chairs at a bar and a bench to wait for your food. They deliver your order to you if you dine in while you have go pick up the order if you did take out. You get a thank you from the employees when you pick up or leave which I thought was sweet. The menu items are really affordable and they also have great combo meals too! The options of chips they have great pairings for their sandwiches. Speaking of sandwiches, our sandwiches were some of the best sandwiches that I have ever had. They really cut their ingredients thin which I personally loved as it stays in the sandwich better and adds a consistent texture. My boyfriend's Smokey Mountain was absolutely delicious as I feel it is hard to find good spots with pastrami. We look forward to trying out more of their menu! read more

Hello Lakewood Friends! Did you all know that you have a gem in your backyard? This deli is great! I love the way the inside of the deli is simple decor with an shoutout to 90's decor. First time visiting Hoagie's Sub Deli. Thank you to all the wonderful 4.7 star Yelp reviews that enticed today's new foodie adventure. This is going to be our new sandwich shop for sure. I had a hankering for my childhood delicatessen memory for a hot ham & Swiss so that is what I ordered on rye with Dijon mustard and horseradish. A whole dill pickle speared and a shared bag of original Lay's potato chips and those fond childhood memories visiting that deli back home with my beautiful mother returned. My baby ordered the Cheesy British with an added large portion of pastrami on the roast beef, turkey, & ham hoagie. He said he felt Hoagie's Sub Deli was the best sandwich shop hands down. He said "if they could add a spicy jalapeno ranch dipping sauce like JJ's, he would never visit another sandwich shop again. Warm, super clean and inviting atmosphere. Lovely family. Military friendly. Plenty of tables inside. Plenty parking spaces outside. Looking forward to returning and trying other sandwich offerings, smoothies, salads coffee and jumbo cookies. This place is legit. I had a large cheesy British warmed up and it is one of the best subs I have had in a really long time. It was huge! Like 15 inches. It had plenty of meat, ample toppings, and the bread was soft and chewy. The guy at the counter was super helpful helping us order. My gf got a custom turkey sandwich and it was a small but still very sizable. We got two subs, two drinks, two bags of chips, and a pickle for 32 dollars. This is very reasonable considering everything is super expensive right now. The only place to compare it to is MSM. But they are totally different sandwiches. We will be back soon! read more

This is my go-to turkey sub shop. It seems to be run by a small Korean family and fortunately very close to my work. Cash only gives you a discount at the register. They have a small vs large sub. I usually get the small, which is about 8 inches of sandwich for $10 or so. The bread is the star of the show. So soft. So chewy. So perfect with the toasted turkey (I like mine hot). There is always a few people in line whenever I go. Be prepared to wait 5-10minutes for them to make your sandwich. read more

One of the best subs I have ever had in my life. All the ingredients are fresh and the large is perfect size for a hungry guy, but not TOO big. Prices are reasonable for two subs with chips and drinks it was under 35 dollars. That's pretty rare these days. I'm embarrassed that I'm just now writing a review about this place -thought I did years ago! I found this sandwich shop when I bought my house in Lakewood over by American Lake about 6 years ago and was looking for a place with yummy sandwiches. Because when given the choice, I almost always will go for a delicious sandwich. I can remember my first time in. Fortunately, it was slow so when I I mentioned it was my first time, the guy doing the cashiering that day walked me through the menu. He mentioned their most popular sandwich is the Cheesy British so I opted for that one. It was delicious! I have since expanded and had several other options and they're all delicious. My two favorites are probably the Cheesy British and the Italian. They apparently also offer sandwich platters for events -or at least they used to -and I was told they only request a 24-hour notice so they can be sure to order enough fresh bread for the day. That's right -their bread is delivered fresh every morning! This is a family owned sandwich shop and they're all so kind. They seem to get a lot of business from local military, people who work in the area, and of course those who live nearby. You can always tell a place has good food and good service when they're a favorite with locals and military. If you go in, take a good look at the walls and you'll see what I mean. They're closed on the weekends so this is a Monday - Friday kind of place. While I would often love to get a yummy sandwich on the weekends, I appreciate that they're not trying to overextend themselves and keep it simple. Again, this is a family owned business. I don't get over very often anymore since moving to the Frederickson area, but I think of them often and if I am in the area on a Friday, I will still stop in. Highly recommend for old school sandwich lovers who aren't looking for fancy, but just a good sandwich. Like how we used to get back in the day from Hoagie's Corner. The fact that they offer a vegetarian sandwich and give SO many topping choices is such a win in and of itself. We went as a large group, they were able to make ~6 sandwiches for us in about 5 minutes. They seem to be family run and definitely recognize the regulars (in fact, when my coworkers call in an order for pickup, as soon as they say their names the owners/operators list off the sandwich they always get and verify that it's correct). The ambiance is budget diner, with small tables and chairs spread throughout. They weren't uncomfortable but personally I prefer a larger table.
