Noticing a Firehouse Subs in the same plaza, I quickly checked the app on my phone to see how much points I had to redeem towards anything. Realizing it has been seven months since my last food purchase, all my points will soon expire unless current purchases are made. I decided to get a small sub to munch on for now. This Firehouse Subs location was spacious and has adequate table seating. The employees are friendly and the subs are prepared fresh and in a timely manner. A friend suggested I order from here for a Lunch & Learn I was sponsoring that required providing fifty boxed lunches to include a half sandwich, chips and a cookie. I spoke with Barry, and he gave a a great price and arranged to have my order ready for pickup when needed. I arrived yesterday for my order and was greeted with a smile by his staff. Let me start off by saying that out of all the fast food sub places, Firehouse is hands down the best. And I've tried them all. I love that their subs are nice and hot, the quality of ingredients are fresh, and the combination of their specialty subs are so yum. You really have to get your subs "fully involved" to get the full experience though. Delish. My favorites are the hook & ladder, the engineer and the meatball. This location in particular has not failed me yet. I usually order from the app and every time I pick up, the food is ready for me. And the employees are super nice also. No choice but to use Door Dash for delivery order, to have the driver text me that she's on her way and ask me if I can pickup the order. You pay for delivery and tip the driver on top of the charges, only to have to go out and meet the driver to get my order. I've ordered from this location multiple times and a recently the service has been absolutely horrendous. Missing items in my order, giving me the COMPLETE WRONG order, most of the sandwiches themselves look like they were just kind of slapped together with all of the fillings just spilling out. I recently ordered a meatball sub with a pickle spear and they ended up burning the bread to hell and back to the point where it hurts to chew, and they completely neglected to include the pickle. What's the point of offering the option for one if your employees are just going to say "f&%$ it" and ignore what I ask for anyway? It's not the first time this has happened either. Avoid this location if you can help it. The dip in food quality and customer service is not worth it, and there's a Checker's/Rally's right next door you can clog your arteries with instead. First of all I am a FirehouseSubs loyalist and rewards member lol this is hands down my favorite sub and it doesn't matter whichever location I am at. I am a huge carnivore and I shamefully admit but not really, I hate veggies lol So of course don't expect any veggies in my recommendation here BUT... I highly recommend the Hero sub with no veggies , no pickle and just mayo, white bread and steamed. When I tell you this is a sub from the heavens, it is. I can eat this whole thing by myself but I usually save the other half for lunch lol Sub taste 5 freaking stars times two!!! Price wise it's a bit up there for my liking about $10 for a full sub and it is quite big but comes with no sides for this price. I put 3 stars because cleanliness can be improved and the staff.. Bless them. Not the friendliest or some seem like they really hated their job. You could really feel it in the air lol. Totally forgot this location was here since it's tucked away next door to Staples in the plaza. They are a much better value and quality than the other "food" options nearby. We were greeted by the staff when we came in and everything was very clean and maintained even though this location has been here for some time. I don't like that they have so many sub options and it was kind of confusing the way the employee explained which subs came on which bread options. I think corporate needs to re-visit the "keep it simple" aspect. The quality of our subs were great. Had just the right amount of fillings and toppings and was toasted to perfection. They have a great selection of chips with the combo and this location now has one of those awesome Coke machines that have 100 different types of drink options! Leave it to me to get the regular/plain brewed iced tea but if you like having many soda and lemonade options it's there for you! There was a really nice employee walking around collecting trays and wiping tables while we were there and he wasn't busy making food. He made sure to come by and ask if we needed anything which I thought was really great customer service. My only unsatisfactory note is that I noticed one of the other employees fixing his visor with his food prep gloves on and I'm pretty sure he didn't change them afterward. Seeing that kind of stuff really turns me off and I hope they have regular training on food safety to prevent this from being a regular occurrence. Came to this firehouse as I work in Tamarac for lunch. Somehow my order was mixed up and my food was given to another person. They quickly corrected the error and even gave me a fresh baked cookie for the inconvenience. Other than the mix up, service was great and my sandwich was delicious. I know some would shun from giving 5 stars to a fast-food eatery, but how could you not when they have rightfully earned them. We just went to this FS--famished after school. The minute we walked in, the two young people working there greeted us, and seemed genuinely pleased to see us. The young man, not the sub maker who was a female, began washing his hands to take care of us. I was floored he was following proper protocol. I asked about gloves and they said they were not allowed to use them, but had to wash their hands accordingly. He took our order to-go and a couple of other customers walked in. As the sub maker worked her magic, I watched from afar--he went and washed his hands right before taking care of them. I love it!! Withal, as we are driving to our next stop, my daughter says, "This is one of the two best subs I've ever eaten." And she's had quite a few in her young life. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful in making my selections with my sub. My sub was toasted perfectly and was full of flavor.
