I just started a new job down the street from here recently, so I've already been a few times both for breakfast and lunch. The food is very good! My favorite is getting a grilled cheese with cajun fries. The waitress is super friendly and very quick, despite having so many customers to tend to around lunch time so I give her credit. The food comes out pretty fast and fresh. I also like how they have a couple of tables outside so on nice days you can sit there on your lunch break. Started a new job and I'm lucky that Commercial Point Cafe is like a few blocks away! I've really enjoyed everything I've tried there so far! The Asian Chicken Salad, the Italian Wedding Soup, their spicy fried chicken sandwich and to end it all.. the yummy baked cookies $1 each or 3 for $2.85! It's old-school diner-type stuff, which serves breakfast until 11 am, and starts lunch at 10:30. So there's this half-hour window where you can actually order either. We were leaving a routine doctor's office appointment and wanted breakfast and diner food; this place we'd never been to was close by. Rachel got one of the English muffin sandwiches, and I got the "hangover," ham, egg, cheese, and hash browns, ordered on wheat toast; it was great -- and big, I took half home. Coffees are straight-up Bunn diner-style or from a consumer-level Philips super automatic, but where can you sit outside like this in this part of Fort Lauderdale and have a quiet simple breakfast? Went here for a quick lunch to go since it's literally less than a minute walk from my job. I placed an order for the Honey Lime Chicken Wrap with sweet potato fries since they were sold out of regular fries. The food was ready within ten minutes and upon entering, there were only a couple people dining in. The wrap itself was phenomenal, extremely flavorful and the chicken was juicy. All the ingredients worked so well together. The fries were crispy and the caesar dressing was perfectly tangy but creamy. My new favorite lunch spot. read more

I started ordering from Commerical Point Cafe at the start of Covid when I was working from home. I am a creature of habit and every morning would order eggs over medium. After a while I noticed that my eggs were not cooked properly and the whites were still clear. The first time I didn't say anything and just ate my sides. The second time I called and they sent new, properly cooked eggs. The third time I gave up. I have ordered breakfast a couple of times since then and it is still the same, undercooked eggs. So, no more breakfast but I continued to order lunch because they had a great deal on half a sandwich. Usually the food is good and arrives on time. The bread is a little over-toasted on one side but it is not worth it to complain. Today I was very disappointed. I placed my order and received a confirmation email at 1:22. The order was supposed to be delivered by 1:57 according to the confirmation email. At around 2:30 I decided to call. The driver had just left and was on his way. I finally received my order a little before 2:45. When I received my food the fries were room temp and very soggy and rubbery. I didn't expect them to be pipping hot out of the fryer but at least warm. So, I did some calculations - if my food was to be delivered at 2:00 and allowing for 15 minutes for drive time (it is 10 minutes according to Google) then my food would have been done at 1:45. That means my lunch sat for an hour waiting for a driver. I understand that everyone is experiencing staffing shortages and, although starving, I was not upset by the delay. I am upset that there was no forethought or consideration to the fact that my food would be cold if they cooked it and had to wait for a driver! Or re-cook the fries before sending it out!?! I mean seriously, how much is a serving of fries worth? The restaurant was closed by the time I got my food so I could not contact them. On top of that, I tried to reach out to them via their website and it is a dead link. Guess they don't want customer feedback. read more

I used to love this place. Would always get good food and delivery was always on time and even early most times. Just like any other place, the quality of service is going down. The last few orders have been 15-20 minutes behind on delivery, they constantly forget my requested condiments and the last breakfast I ordered had really old looking dried up potatoes. I enjoyed my visit to this unassuming restaurant hidden back within an industrial mix of offices and businesses. I was surprised to learn that the restaurant has been there more than 30 years! I suppose if I worked nearby -- they have a lot of regulars that do -- I would have discovered this place a long time ago. You seat yourself. There are a lot of tables inside as well as a counter. And a couple seats outside as well. The service is extra friendly -- everyone seems to have been doing their job for quite awhile and it's natural. The servers work together as a team. We mentioned the yelp check in offer and it was seamlessly accepted. They even gave us a choice of their cookies and brought them to the table early -- just in case we wanted to eat them right away. Thanks, mom. They have a board with daily specials, but it was also printed on a sheet of paper which made it easier. We both chose one of the specials. He ordered their "breakfast & lunch grilled cheese". It had scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, sliced tomato along with melted American cheese all on grilled challah bread. He said it was really good. For his side, he had their macaroni salad. Also good. I opted for their chicken Parmesan panini. It was a breaded chicken breast topped with sauce and melted cheeses on a pressed hoagie roll. It was served cut in half. I was only able to eat one half. For my side, I had their French fries. Like a diner style restaurant, you pay at the counter. Even the cashier was friendly. Annie was our waitress and she kept the coffee filled in both of our cups. She was very attentive and kept coming back to ask for our order and it took us a while to decide so she was very patient! We ended up ordering the steak and eggs wrap. The steak and eggs wrap has shaved steak sauteed with grilled onions, three eggs, and provolone cheese. I decided to substitute with Gouda and that was an excellent choice for me! It was a lot of food, very well prepared, and delicious! We also ordered the Cafe Salad which is new on the menu. The Cafe Salad has mixed greens, strawberries, mango, carrots, candied pecans, avocado, and honey lime vinaigrette. It was really delicious and filling. I felt healthy just looking at it! When you check in through Yelp you get a free fountain drink and a cookie. They were nice enough to allow us to use it to get a coffee instead of the fountain drink. And I got the macadamia nut and cranberry cookie. It was very tasty! The service is always consistent and the food is consistently good! I enjoy coming to this small diner. read more

First time trying this place and was really disappointed by the experience because this place was rated 5 stars. I ordered the bacon burger with fries, the burger looked good but when I bit into the burger I realized that the burger had the wax paper from the cheese slices in the burger. I informed the cashier at the register about what happened and he offered to remake the sandwich but I told him that I couldn't wait any longer due to the fact I was on my lunch break. So he offered a cold sandwich instead that would be quicker to replace than a hot sandwich. I got the turkey club when I was leaving I was kind of surprised that the cashier wanted me to pay for the replacement sandwich. I didn't argue cause of the time but I can't say I would come back again. The experience was enough for me. read more

So I had her put it on the side and applied it to my sandwich myself which helped it from oozing out when I ate my sandwich unlike my Mom's who had them put it on for her. I worked in a diner through high school and some college and I credit those years of being able to customize orders to my ever developing palette. Unfortunately, good diners/cafes are hard to come by. Commercial Point Café did not disappoint at all. I'm actually very impressed. I came during my lunch hour (risky but the true test of any lunch spot) I grabbed a seat at their bar area and was taken care of immediately. I ordered their chicken philly and it came out in probably less than 10 minutes. The fries were so hot I burned myself a few times (I was really hungry and that it NOT a complaint haha) If you're in the area and want a delicious lunch, stop by! I'm definitely coming back to try more items on their menu. These ladies are powerhouses the way they move around. I blinked and all the tables were gone, cleaned & reset! One of my company's weekday routine. Everyone in the office has been coming here for years, in part due to the amazing food the chef makes but mainly because of the family run servers. I've been friends with the girls for a while, and they make me feel special each morning. They have specials daily posted on the board, my favorite is when split pea is up there. If you check in you also get a free cookie! Oh my goodness! This place. is must for lunch. I can't believe that I didn't know about it. It is tucked away. in a plaza off of west Commercial Blvd, just east of 441. I was impressed by their menu, as it offered twists on the traditional american lunch fare. I had the Avo Brie with Tomano garlic French Fries. The sandwich was on thick sliced buttery challah bread, with cheddar cheese, ooey gooey brie, and sliced avocado. It was amazing! Add seasoning to your fries? Of course! I chose the Romano garlic, and they were so yummy! The fries were fresh and crispy. You can choose an alternative side such as macaroni salad, or chips if fries aren't your thing. My friends were equally pleased with their Turkey club, and patty melt. I must admit I took a bite of the patty melt, and it was amazing with brie and carmelized onions. I spied a few of their salads and they looked great! The cafe was nicely decorated and felt homey. In nice weather there is limited seating just outside. They offer daily specials, and soups. I was tempted to order the seafood gumbo. The staff is friendly and use handy tablet to take and send your order to the kitchen. Melissa was our waitress and was bubbly, and knew the menu well. Tucked in a lonely plaza, Commerical Point is a great option for the days you forget your lunch at home or just didn't feel like cooking. In my case, I always order for breakfast. They have some great omelettes. Not to worry these omelettes aren't overwhelmingly egg based. They're a decent size and packed just right with veggies and cheese. The breakfast wraps are also one of my favorites. Slightly toasted with fluffy eggs inside; its packs a pretty good flavor punch with a nice bundled portion. Recently I tried their lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The Chicken Cesear Wrap is well done. I love the addition of the crunchy croutons inside. I only wish the chicken was served warm. Cold wraps aren't my favorite. The Breakfast Burger and Blackened Chicken Sandwich are also solid options for lunch. The Breakfast Burger is the classic patty with cheese topped with a fried egg and slathered in pesto mayo. Very yummy and well cooked. The Blackened Chicken is actually well seasoned. I was truly surprised since some places try to fool you by the blackened color and skip the seasoning, not here though. The Chicken was very good. So thumbs up for that. Commerical Point might not have extremely special or unique food but it's solid in taste and quality. So I can't really complain. read more

This is a quick lunch spot hat I found by searching on yelp on locations that were nearby. You seat yourself where ever you want, and the waitress attends you quickly. The waitress we had was friendly, knowledgeable, quick and gave great service. The food was good quality. I had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, it was tasty and good portion. I checked in to this location on yelp and received a complimentary cookie! That was great.
